Extreme obstacle racing
Simandl, Radek ; Hájková, Jana (advisor) ; Rotková, Hana (referee)
Extreme obstacle racing is a brand new sporting industry that is currently developing most not only in Europe but also around the world. I focused mainly on introducing this new sport in order to find out different level of the motor skills of beginners and professionals. In the theoretical part of my work, I defined what is characteristic for this sport and why it is so famous and wanted today. In the practical part, using the proposed test battery, I tested all the motor skills of beginners and professionals in order to identify the real physical differences between them. As a result of these facts, methods of testing, observation, processing, evaluation, analysis and statistics of data, along with the study of professional literature, were used. Based on the established hypotheses, I asked questions that I had in my opinions and attitudes to the beginners and professionals of this thriving sport. Through research and testing, we have found that professionals are certainly more dominant in motor skills than beginners with overall predominance in all underlying motor tests that included speed, endurance, strength and coordination tests. The benefit of this work is the analysis and introduction of a new sporting industry, including the main discovery of real differences between beginners and...
Perception of vehicle speed
Kamasová, Lenka ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of driver´s subjective estimation of vehicle speed and at the same time it is a project dealing with acquisition and evaluation of data obtained during the driving tests. The perceived vehicle speed is examined from the perspective of a driver - the respondent, who has no possibility of controlling the actual vehicle speed on the vehicle's speedometer. The aim is to either confirm or refute whether the driver is able to adequately estimate the speed of a moving vehicle in the event of an accident as well as describe the factors that may affect a subjective estimation of the driver's speed.
Acceleration of Symbolic Regression Using Cartesian Genetic Programming
Hodaň, David ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis is focused on finding procedures that would accelerate symbolic regressions in Cartesian Genetic Programming. It describes Cartesian Genetic Programming and its use in the task of symbolic regression. It deals with the SIMD architecture and the SSE and AVX instruction set. Several optimizations that lead to a significant acceleration of evolution in Cartesian Genetic Programming are presented. A method of a bit-level parallel simulation that uses AVX2 vectors allows to process 256 input combinations of a logic circuit in paralell. Similarly it is possible to use a byte-level parallel simulation and work with 32 bytes when evolving an image filter. A new method of batch mutation can accelerate the evolution of combinational logic circuits thousand times depending on the problem size. For example, using a combination of these and other methods the evolution of 5 x 5b multipliers took 5.8 seconds on average on an Intel Core i5-4590 processor.
People recognition using facial images
Lindovský, Michal ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Rajnoha, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the person recognition between several millions of people in a few seconds. As a part of my thesis is comparison of two programs which are used for recognizing faces - OpenFace and Face Recognition. Computing times of localization and face encoding are compared. The accuracy of recognition in various tests is compared as well, such as blurred image, brightness changes, age of person or usage of sunglasses. Created web application is made for recognizing people in different databases. Is possible to add or remove databases of people in the application. The application allows to subsume people into database by gender automatically or manually. Face recognition can be speeded up by using multiple processor cores.
Sensors and Actuators for Combustion Engines
Prouza, Jiří ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is concerned with a summary of the most important sensors and control members which are used for combustion engine. There is a description of the construction and the principle of function of each sensor and member in this thesis. The first part of this thesis is concerned with sensors, which scan a condition and a course of activities in an engine, transform them to a signal and afterwards send them to the control unit, so it could process them. In the second part of this thesis there is a description of control members which process information from the control unit and afterwards transform them to a mechanical movement.
Rolling bearings for electromobility
Mbontar, Patrik ; Frýza, Josef (referee) ; Šperka, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the problems related to the use of rolling bearings in electric vehicles. Introduction includes history, distribution, and a brief description of the bearings. In the next section, there will be a description of the use, requirements and parameters for rolling bearings of combustion engine cars. In the main part of the thesis, the parameters and requirements of bearings used in electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles will be analyzed. I will continue with familiarization with dynamic actions affecting bearings and their critical requirements. In conclusion, the two types of cars and the possible development of this type of bearings will be compared.

The relationship of explosive strength and CODS performance
Hönig, Karel ; Hojka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: The relationship of explosive strength and CODS performance Objectives: The main aim of this work is to find out the degrese of relatedness indicators between explosively force abilities and performance in individual Agility tests for U16 and U17 footballers Methods: Testing and measurement was performed on a sample of 32 players aged 15-16 from the Bohemians Prague football team. To determine the player's explosive-force abilities, the Kistler board was used in the BEZ laboratory. Agility testing was based on test batteries for this ability (Arrowhead L and P, Illionois, 505 L and R, K-test and Hexagon). The data measurements was processed by using IBM SPSS statistics 22. Results: I have found that the impact of explosive strength abilities was most evident in Arrowhead and Illinois CODS tests at R = 0,4 - 0,7 and p<0,05. On the contrary, Hexagon test proved to be independent of explosive-strength abilities. In addition, it was found a small correlation value between 505 test and other CODS tests. Keywords: fitness ability, Agility, CODS, speed, strength, football
Obstacle course racing: the effect of obstacles on the total race time during a Spartan Race
Kozmová, Monika ; Tufano, James Joseph (advisor) ; Šteffl, Michal (referee)
Title: Obstacle course racing: the effect of obstacles on the total race time during a Spartan Race Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of 30-burpee punishment on subsequent running speed (SPD), heart rate (HR) following a missed obstacle, and the final race standings during a OCR race. Methods: In our thesis we used a method of analysis in an official Spartan Race in the Czech Republic. 11 male OCR competitors wore a GPS and HR monitor, from which HR and SPD were measured. Three specific obstacles were chosen where nearly all competitors did burpees (spear throw), half did burpees (traverse wall), and nearly none did burpees (monkey bars). The HR and SPD were measured during the entire race, and specifically noted when the competitors arrived at left the obstacle. Results: The average HR of the entire race was 166.45 ± 3.34 beats per minute. The average time spent at the successful obstacles without burpees was 23 ± 17 seconds, while the average time spent at the unsuccessful obstacles with burpees was 124 ± 11 seconds. The change in HR over the course of successful obstacles was 0.79 ± 3.69 beat per minute, while the change in HR during unsuccessful obstacles with burpees was -3.00 ± 6.70 beat per minute. Total time spent at each obstacle correlated with the final...
