Thick-film sensors for electrochemical detection of species in aqueous solutions
Martynek, Daniel ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the theory, principles and characteristics of electrochemical sensors, thick-film technology and electrodes used in electrochemistry. Methods for the detection of substances matters in solutions are discussed here. Main emphasis is given to differential pulse voltammetry and the influence of the method setup parameters to the measurement results. Experimentally, the work deals with the modification of thick-film working electrode with carbon nanotubes and subsequent activation of the electrode by nitric acid to increase the detection limit and the current response to selected heavy metals ions. Finally, the obtained results are compared with special commercial paste and discussed with the data state in literature.
Monitoring of efficiency cleaning medium for printed circuit board
Jelínek, Tomáš ; Řezníček, Michal (referee) ; Buršík, Martin (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis various methods of cleaning and various types of cleaning agents commonly used in electrical engineering are described. In the experimental part cyclic voltammetry is used to measure the current–voltage characteristic of cleaning agent VIGON A 200. The new and the used cleaning agents are compared. Influence of measuring sensors is monitored. At the end of the bachelor thesis obtained data are evaluated and further processing steps for analysis are proposed.

Kynclová, Hana ; Trnková, Libuše (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
Doxorubicine is one of the most used anticancer medicaments nowadays. Improvement of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry was investigated influence of doxorubicine to sensitive cells and resistibility cells.
Polarographic analysis of water
Klečka, Tomáš ; Rozman, Jiří (referee) ; Čížek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's project creates the necessary theoretical foundation of polarography and voltametry in the first part, which is needed to successful measurement using these technics. In the second part there is realized measurement with anodic stripping voltametry and accomplished evaluation in MATLAB. Finally there is example of procedure for laboratory task with polarograph.
Optical determination of the state of charge of vanadium flow battery cells
Šacl, Vojtěch ; Chladil, Ladislav (referee) ; Novák, Vítězslav (advisor)
The investigated subject for this diploma thesis is getting know properties of the vanadium redox battery (VRB), especially electrolyte. Specialization is applied to the state of charge of this cell and its measurements using the optical methods. Upon different state of charge is changed oxidation number of vanadium and resultant color of the electrolyte. Using spectrofotometry method that characteristic property is undergone measurement. The basic thing was learning to handle a measurement system. The first practical measurement was executed on example foils. Upon measurement of vanadium cell there was obtained the values of absorbation, which they were used for determination of state of charge.
The electrochemical sensors with 3-D structure of electrodes
Štekovič, Michal ; Hrdý, Radim (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
Miniature electrochemical sensors can be produced by thick-film technology. The optimal properties of thick-film electrode system, the production technology optimization of thick-film sensors and the adjustment of optimal technological properties are main problems of sensor design. An area of working electrode and an electrode topology design is the important parts in design of electrode system optimization. The rules for optimization of electrode systems in classical electrochemistry exist. The design of standard thick-film electrode construction is limited (2-D construction, substrate dimensions, resolution, paste parameters …). Therefore rules for classical electrode systems cannot be used fully in this case and larger electrode area can be making by 3D structure only. One of resolutions is unconventional method. The increase of working electrode surface by unconventional method – ball and wire bonding is discussed in this work.
Multichannel instrumentation for electrochemical measurement from sensor array
Žák, Jaromír ; Kizek, René (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
The work deals with n-channel system enabling many sample analysis at sort time from sensor array using electrochemical methods. The 8x12 sensor arrays are formed from 3 electrodes system created on PCB which can be used for heavy metal analysis and toxic substances determination. The control unit switches each 3 electrode sensor to 8 channel precise potentiostat which was designed for electrochemical analysis with current sensitivity below 10 pA. The potentiostat can synchronize with control unit. Developed system is able to measure up to eight single inputs and may be simply converted to measure other nonchemical values. Measured data will be sent to user-friendly application in computer and analyzed or saved consequently.

Šílený, Jan ; Adam, Vojtěch (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
The objective of this work was creation of an electrochemical sensor for DNA analysis using thick layer technology. Development of sensors is described from the design face with particular steps of realization along with theory. Measurements with results and evaluation of possible application in common use are described.
Device for measurement of electrochemical cells characteristics by the cyclic voltammetry
Kučera, Vojtěch ; Bilko, Radek (referee) ; Lábus, Radek (advisor)
The thesis deals with observation of cells parameters. One of the potential solutions for observing the characteristics of cells are utilization the electrochemical analyse called voltametry. Its fundamental consists of loading variable voltage in between two electrodes dipped in electrolytic solution and monitoring flowing current. The point of the thesis is to build up the measuring workplace, which can provide this measurement. We suggest utilization of modern laboratory technique and connection the measuring instruments with PC. The first part of the thesis deals with theoretical knowledge of used functions and describes theirs mathematics definitions. The second part deals with proceeding of workplace realization, instrument connection with PC and development application in computer’s language. Result is measuring workplace, which can provide observing cells according to entered parameters.
