Statistical Characteristics of Forex Data

The object of master's thesis is to introduce to the financial derivatives and principals of trading on financial markets. We describe the methods used to search for arbitrage opportunities through statistical indicators and statistical characteristics, which are an integral part of the automatized trading systems. Analysis of the financial market is based on data derived from the interbank market.
Determining influence of new construction on market value of nearby building sites

New building projects make changes in infrastructure and it is the reason of changing some of the characteristics of pricing building plots. For example: transport accessibility and connection to utilities. Side-effect of large-scale residential development is rising the price of land by speculation, because the expensive new buildings are creating places of "Good address". New construction pushing the boundaries of built-up area and in anticipation of further construction will begin trading at higher prices. The aim is to provide a method of determining of new construction on market value of nearby building sites. The project will be primarily focused on building sites as defined by law. Determination of the impact will be made by a comparative method. As comparative examples will be used traded, valued or offered real estates in locations with some new housing constructions (e.g. cadaster Bystrc, Komín, Sadova). The result of the work will be usable for real estate valuation: 1. Methodology for correction of index of variations to effects of new construction. 2. Methodology for correction of index of variations to speculative component of price.
Trading of Electricity in the Current Conditions of the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with trading of electricity in the current conditions of the Czech Republic. First it defines the theoretical and legal aspects of the electricity market and introduces several basic terms related to the given topic such as producer, electricity dealer, end user etc. Then it analyses selected areas of an electricity dealer’s activities directed at optimization of his/her business strategy concerning electrical energy trading in the current conditions of the Czech energy market.

To create post-ironic individuals, individuals as “highly diversified” brands. So long they’ve dreamed about wide spread and legitimization of their work, their art. This was partly done by overwhelming their followers’ social media feeds.
Manifestation of carry trade on financial markets

This thesis concerns with speculative carry trade strategy. Carry trade is based on breach of Uncovered Interest Parity. The theoretical part is focused on traditional fundamental analysis. This thesis deals with the identification of carry trade existence and capture their expressions in the financial markets, verification profitability and attractiveness of carry trade operations, analysis of conditions for carry trade on financial markets before and after global financial crisis 2008. Important part of the work was also description of the consequences of carry trade transactions and their effects on the exchange rate and financial situation

Defines the various types of derivatives, their history and development of currency futures and forward contracts in the CR and in the world. Another part is devoted to the use of currency futures and forwards in the business in the Czech Republic. The thesis is to evaluate the evolution of exchange rates EUR/CZK and USD/CZK.
Weather influence on speculation on stock markets

Topic of this master thesis is to examine whether weather related mood changes are in correlation with price of stocks. Thesis focuses on middle Europe stock market indexes PX, SAX, ATX and DAX. Research is based on relationship between daily cloud cover and development of the indexes form 1995 to 2012. It also focuses on comparison of several different models, especially models of seemingly unrelated regressions. It shows that indexes PX and ATX are significantly negatively correlated with local cloud cover. Use of seemingly unrelated regressions offers slightly better results. The relation between cloud cover and stock indexes is not strong enough to be used for weather based speculations
A suitable background of the mortgage crisis in the United states

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to deliver a suitable background of the mortgage crisis in the United states, which was one of the cause of financial crisis in this country as such. Because of the globalization, the crisis has spread almost everywhere. Theoretical part includes namely description of the crisis and it points out some mechanisms, which induced the US economy into the consequent recession. Also the mortgage bubble could evocate the recession. The main concern will be given to the indebtedness of american households and to transmision mechanisms in the economy itself. I will also try to analyse the role of condifedence in the economy when it comes to paying off debts and treating liabilities in general when the economy reached its business cycle peak.
The circumstances of speculative bubbles presence in financial markets

This bachelor thesis is focused on financial crises arisen throughout economic history. It explains the term of financial crisis, speculative bubble, and it presents chosen models of financial crises, which can be identified within concrete historical cases analyzed in the first two chapters. Theoretical approaches to the circumstances of speculative bubbles presence are part of the final section of this work, where the main roles play the rationality and irrationality of an individual, crowd, and market and psychological factors as well. At the end, a possible usefulness is mentioned contrary to the events of the first two chapters.
Technical analysis in the Intraday Trading

The aim of this work is to create "Intraday concept", that could be used as a manual for amateur intraday traders to achieve systematic approach in the intraday trading. First part of this work defines general rules for intraday trading. Second part chooses technical indicatiors for intraday use. In the last part of this work are presented automatic trading systems and "Intraday koncept" is created on the basis of data gained in previous chapters.
