A Rationalization of Purchasing Logistics in Grafobal a. s.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the purchase logistics of the joint stock company based in Grafobal Skalica, which key production activity is the manufacture of solid cardboard packages. In thesis I am focusing mainly on vendor evaluation and selection of the most suitable candidates, which accomplish the criteria for supplying clothing for the company. The thesis has a theoretical and analytical part where I tried to explain and evaluate the contractor selection process. The third part deals with the proposal to improve the evaluation when selecting suppliers.

This master thesis entitled “The study of Logistics procurement with a view to Purchase” is aimed at reducing costs in relation to obtaining, storing and maintaining material resources. The first part of this thesis introduces the company's production program and material standards. After which the relating processes are analyzed and by using theoretical approaches, measures to ensure savings are then proposed. The final part offers a summary of the benefits of the proposed solutions.

The diploma thesis is focused on inventory management in a production company with an emphasis on optimizing company´s stock level. There has been made an analysis of the current status of selected group of inventory, and of the use of the existing information system. Based on this analysis and theoretical knowledge of inventory management, two measures have been designed. They should help to increase efficiency of purchasing and to reduce inventory and costs.

Study of Production Process Management in Relation to Orders

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of changes in the production process in the company KORDARNA PLUS a.s., o.z., which is engaged in the production of industrial polymer fibre. Within the framework of the analysis, the thesis introduces the company and its organizational structure. A detailed view is devoted to the analysis of the processes. The output of the analysis is the identification of the critical point of production, which is the sorting and packaging sector. Subsequently, the thesis analyses this sector of production in detail and presents possible solutions to the problem of the quality of the produced fibre.

This diploma thesis deals with application of the Lean management principles in the manufacturing company, which corresponds to the name of this thesis. The first part explains meaning of the term Lean and offers a view into the history. There are introduced basic principles and individual tools of the methodology together with focus on the purchasing department role. Practical part of this thesis is focused on specific department of the company. By using of appropriate Lean management tools and methods the current status is analyzed, potentials for waste reduction are identified and specific measures are proposed.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the process of purchasing in a selected manufacturing company. In this thesis I focused closely on the individual parts of the purchasing process. The first part summarizes the basic theoretical background and terms. The next part describes the curerent situation and analyses the problem. The last part presents proposals how to accelerate the purchassing process and their benefits.
