Diesel Particulate Filters
Haratek, Marek ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on creation of particulate matter during combustion in diesel engines and their trapping in DPF systems. The first part deals with particulate matter and emission standards in Europe and USA. There is described filtration principle, types of regeneration and DPF variants in the second part. Afterwards the thesis is concentrated on particular DPF system applications used by representative car makers and there is also introduced range of products of some diesel particulate filter manufacturers, including description of construction variants and used regeneration technologies.
Stress-strain Analysis of Diesel Particulate Filter Support on Tractor
Ježek, Přemysl ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to carry out stress-strain analysis of diesel particulate filter support on tractor. So it describes sequence of steps for the analysis model, such as geometry description, mesh generation, applied forces definition and others. Result of the analysis is assessed in terms of strength and improvement was proposed.
DPF for CI Engines
Hanák, Jiří ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes formation of harmful particles during combustion cycle of diesel engine and blocking its spreading into atmosphere using diesel particulate filters. First part of this thesis looks into types and mechanisms of formation of these particles including regulations of its maximal value in atmosphere thanks to emission regulations. Then this thesis summarizes principles of diesel particulate filters´ functioning, their types, methods of construction and regeneration. Also, there are described systems of diesel particulate filters with diesel engine and practical solutions. In conclusion, this thesis deals with problematic combinations of diesel particulate filters and diesel engines and outlines possible future development.
Influence of traffic volume and meteorological conditions on the air pollution
Vojtěchová, Ivana ; Kotlík, Josef (referee) ; Adamec,, Vladimír (advisor)
Transport, whose intensity year by year increase, has assuredly influence on air quality. This issue solution will be focused especially on localities burden with transport in urban areas. The contribution of transport to increased values of air pollution will be evaluated with regards to meteorological conditions. Background stations from Czech Hydrometeorological Institute categorization will be chosen such as comparative sites. Pollutants emitted from traffic such as particulate matter, nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide will be observed except meteorological conditions.
Gasoline Particulate Filters
Vyhnálek, David ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with gasoline particulate filters for spark ignition power trains and aims to summarize the current state of knowledge and prospects of this issue. The first part of the thesis focuses on gasoline direct injection technology as it is directly responsible for the increased formation of particulate matter, which is also subject of attention, including other pollutants. It also addresses the reason for the need of usage and further development of filters, the principle of operation and design options, including a description of the individual components. The thesis also discusses possible perspectives for the future development of turbocharged petrol engines with regards to meeting emission standards.
Diagnostika a regenerace DPF filtru u traktorů Zetor
KRÁSNÝ, Lukáš
This diploma thesis on the topic of DPF filter diagnostics and regeneration in a Zetor tractor describes in detail the issue of emission requirements for a specific type of tractor. The work is divided into a theoretical part, which describes the issue of particulate matter, particulate filters and diagnostic methods used to obtain results. The practical part, which is the second part of this work, deals with the regeneration of the particulate filter itself, using serial diagnostics. The results are then evaluated with the values given by the manufacturer and the future development of the diagnosed tractor is determined.
Analýza funkční životnosti filtrů pevných částic spalovacích motorů
Obršlík, Jaroslav
The diesel engine emissions belong nowadays to most monitored issues, especially when it deals with the fine particles and their elimination from the exhaust fumes using the particle filters. This thesis deals with the reliability and durability of particle filters measured in the emissions of exhaust fumes. The thesis describes the different types of particle filters and methods of their regeneration. The individual measuring device has been described in order to comprehend all the processes that take place during the measurement. The author used mathematic methods to evaluate the income variables. In its practical part the thesis has evaluated – by using the statistical methods – the reliance of measured quantities in the exhaust fumes.
Research of Progressive Methods for Reduction of Emissions in CI Engine Exhaust Gasses
Franz, Rudolf ; Děrgl, Martin (referee) ; Stodola, Jiří (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The scope of this dissertation work is a description of modern methods of reducing exhaust emission in diesel engines. The fundamental part is the application of these methods for diesel engines for off-road use that means for engines that are used in tractors and road machines. The mentioned evidence for the practical utility of the results of this dissertation thesis in practice and their verification on the actual engine are given in the conclusion.
DPF for SI Engines
Pohludková, Lenka ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with gasoline particulate filters. Emissions of internal combustion engines and their impact on air pollution and human health, especially the impact of particulate matter, are discussed. It also describes what these filters are made of, where they are located in the car, and explains the principle of their function and regeneration.
