Proposal of SQL Database for Manufacturing Company
Kreisinger, Jiří ; Šmýdová, Martina (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes the proposal of a database for a manufacturing company. That decided to replace its existing database which is in inadequate state. In the first part is the theoretical background of the problem. Next part is analysis of manufacturing processes which leads to requirements on database. At the end is my own database solution.

Automatic Trading System for CFD Markets
Novák, Milan ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Budík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design, optimization and testing of an automated trading system intended for trading CFD contracts. The strategy is based on a combination of a moving average and a custom indicator, which gives signals based on convergence of signals of other monitored indicators. The designed automated trading system also contains a simple, but efficient money management. It is responsible for risking a constant portion of current account balance on each trade. The thesis continues with comparison of three ways to optimize chosen input parameters and comparison of performance of the strategy for ten tested market symbols.

Automatic Keyword Detection
Mašláňová, Marcela ; Karafiát, Martin (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to survey the field of the automatic keywords tagging in a text and apply this background for automatically generating back-of-the-book indexes. Human made indexes are expensive and that's why we are looking for (semi)-automatic methods indexes. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with collocations, which are an important part of generated indexes. The practical part of the work applies selected methods to testing data and summarize results of experiments.

Search in Semantically-Enriched Texts
Dostál, Jiří ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with searches within large-scale text data, which are enriched by semantic information, especially the highlighting of named entities. The thesis begins by analysing methods used for the indexing of partly structured text data and the methods used for searching. The main body of the thesis consists of the description and implementation of a query engine, which analyses queries and requirements on range and structure. This query is later converted into an MG4J search engine format and applies restrictions on the results. These results have been tested on time response, as well as on a number of results, which are then compared to older results obtained from English Wikipedia.

Database System Analysis and Implementation
Třetina, Jan ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
With the increase of demands for the speed and availability of the information technologies, the process of optimization gains more and more importance. Concerning search engine optimization, optimization of operating systems or application optimization (source code), the goal is to gain faster, smaller and more maintainable solution. In my thesis I deal with optimization of database systems, which includes low level of database tuning - physical organization of data and indices, database management system tuning and query optimization. I focused on optimization of Microsoft SQL Servers 2005 in enterprise environment.

Analysis of costs and prices of linear structures
Vacková, Veronika ; Výskala, Miloslav (referee) ; Aigel, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with the topic of linear structures – roads (highways). The theoretical part of this thesis explains the basic concepts like price, construction budget, costs, linear structures, also history of linear structures and sorts of substructures and wearing courses of roads. The practical part deals with compilation of two itemized budgets by road construction set and evaluation of this budgets by set criteria at the end of the practical part.
