Founding of buildings from the scratch - Founding in Kojetín region
Vanko, Peter ; Glisníková,, Věra (referee) ; Brdečková, Helena (advisor)
In the first part of bachelor work there is an area of Kojetín classified both geomorphologically and geologically. Next part is dedicated to the project and to the qualifying of the single footing in several locations with different spread conditions. The designed single footing are checked for bearing capacity and for settlement as well.
The Abutment Design of the Road Bridge over the Highway D1 by Kurovice
Ponížil, Cyril ; Fiala, Radek (referee) ; Brdečková, Helena (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with design and assessment of the bridge abutment of the flyover over highway R 55 Skalka – Hulín. This flyover is situated between Tlumacovice and Kurovice. The thesis includes a geological and geomorphological classification of the locality, definition of loads due to bridge constructions, including traffic loads. Design and assessment of two variants (the gravity and cantilever retaining wall) of the bridge abutment are carried out.
The precise repeated leveling measurements at Tetčice polygon
Staněk, Antonín ; Weigel, Josef (referee) ; Pospíšil, Lubomil (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with monitoring vertical shifts in the village Tetčice, located at the contact of two geological units in Boskovice furrow. The theoretical part describes the geological structure of the site and the technology high-precision levelling. It also includes measuring and graphic processing, including follow-up on results of previous stages.
Determination of geotechnical and hydrogeological characteristic of soils and evaluation of their suitability for building construction on selected locality in Western Carpathians
Mikulica, Tomáš ; Krmíček, Lukáš (referee) ; Sluková, Michaela (advisor)
This work is aimed at determining the geotechnical and hydrogeological characteristics of selected soils and determine its suitability for foundation construction on the example of the Western Carpathians. In this work are described by the exploration work, seepage test and evaluation of soil collected using a grading curve and porosity.
Determination of geotechnical and geological characteristic of soils and evaluation of their suitability for building construction in Koryčany-Lískovec
Králík, Michal ; Krmíček, Lukáš (referee) ; Sluková, Michaela (advisor)
Aim of this bachelor thesis is determination characteristics of soil from selected location in Czech Massif and determine its sustainbility for foundation construcion, survey is aimed at geotechnical characteristics but also hydrological characteristics if underground water will be reached. First objective is search activities of geology destription in selected location followed by survey activities and taking soil samples, which we analyze in laboratory and we suggest appropriate type of founding construction based on results.
Founding of buildings from the scratch - Founding in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm
Blinková, Magdaléna ; Glisníková,, Věra (referee) ; Brdečková, Helena (advisor)
The aim of thesis is to evaluate the foundation soil behavior under load. In the first part of the thesis I closer to engineering-geological conditions in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. In the next part I descripe properties of soils. The concusion of the thesis is the compare the behavior of foundation soils at selected locations.
Foundations in Volume Unstable Soils
Legut, Dana ; Weiglová, Kamila (referee) ; Hauser,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zdražil, Karel (referee) ; Vašina,, Josef (referee) ; Paseka, Antonín (advisor)
This dissertation is concerned with the foundations in volume unstable soils and objects disorders which are related to this. The thesis was focused on the study of clay and loess soils which are abundant in the geological profile of the Czech Republic. First, the formation of the two groups of soils is introduced, then their properties are examined and finally the influence of vegetation on the former type and the influence of collapsibility in the latter type are investigated. The conclusion is, in fact, a recommendation on the design of structures so that the system of clay / structure is not damaged and that structures are not subject to renovations. Several instance of problems with structures are discussed which were subject to structural repairs employing both a civil and geotechnical engineers.
AFTER THE EXTRACTION Atlas of the Ostrava-Karviná coal basin problems and an alternative settlement options
Vicanová, Nela ; Eristavi, Irakli (referee) ; Mitášová, Monika (advisor)
The thesis deals with the research of landscape issues related to coal mining in the Karviná region. The landscape of the Ostrava-Karviná coal basin, which has suffered anthropogenic devastation caused by the extraction of the raw material, faces problems related to the instability of the terrain. Crucial for the research and the project are the data obtained, which determine the thematic location and the investigative and an analytical framework of the project. Using the key data, key questions and risks are formulated. The research extends into geological and landscape themes, determining a re-evaluation of architectural practice in such unstable conditions. The first aim of the thesis is to obtain data for the visualization of stabilized and unstable areas of the landscape after mining based on interviews with experts and map data. Furthermore, this information will be analyzed and interpreted in order to define the area of interest and suggest what the future of the unstable area might be. Finally, the third objective is to propose a new, utopian layer to the existing landscape.
Geological and gravimetric pattern of the Ethiopia
Kuznetsova, Alevtina ; Valenta, Jan (advisor) ; Martínek, Karel (referee)
From a geological point of view, Ethiopia is a unique country where active tectonics displays can be studied, in the context of extensive East African Rift System (EARS) evolution, where the Main Ethiopian Rift (MER) is a part. The Main Ethiopian Rift (MER) is typical continental rift structure spread between the African, Somali, and Arabian lithospheric plates stretching over 6,000 kilometres from Syria to central Mozambique. This study of the gravity pattern in Ethiopia reveals significant crustal thinning in the Main Ethiopian Rift and Northern Afar regions. In the southern Afar, the earth's crust has a slightly higher thickness and, moreover, probably contains a significant proportion of the continental crust. The understanding of crustal thinning in the context of active rifting is essential to predict future geodynamic events in that region, which is crucial for the sustainable life of a rapidly expanding population and the necessary construction of infrastructure. This work provides an analysis and re-interpretation of archival gravity data collected from land surface surveys and airborne gravity studies (archive of Geological Survey of Ethiopia) in conjunction with available geological and structural data to evaluate overall gravimetric pattern of Ethiopia and determine main geological...
