On the milling of ceramic materials
Rudel, Václav ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
In the diploma thesis dividing of ceramic materials is made, their bonds and other attributions, which define ceramic materials. There is also described how ceramic materials are manufactured and the thesis is including information about machining ceramic materials. In the experimental part sample of ceramic material R-S67K was machined by milling. During the experiment cutting forces were measured and roughness of surface after finishing, these data were finally evaluated.
Measurement of cutting edge roughness in the process of laser metal cutting using the Yb-YAG laser
Maňas, Petr ; Hála, Michal (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
The project elaborated in frame of bachelor´s degree program B-STG (“Mechanical Engineering Technology”, 2303R002), evaluates the roughness of samples of cutting edge laser cutting. Cutting performed the fiber Yb:YAG laser. The samples consisted of structural steel J235JR and DC01, stainless steel X5CrNi18-10 and aluminium alloys AIMg3. They were evaluated according to the ČSN EN ISO 9013 standard. The classification of samples into classes according to the standards of accuracy. The theoretical part is consists of a description of the methods of cutting, a basic principle of the laser and its types. It includes cutting parameters and their influence on the quality of subsequent defects. It is described roughness measurement and standard ČSN EN ISO 9013.
Contact and Non-contact Method of Surface Roughness Evaluation
Špačková, Magda ; Hammer, Miloš (referee) ; Jankových, Róbert (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis includes an overview of surface roughness profile parameters‘ evaluation methods. Measurement of twelve samples was carried out using a Talysurf CCI Lite non-contact instrument, and a Taylor Hobson Surtronic 25 contact profiler. An analysis of differences in results of evaluation of selected profile parameters was performed based on these measurements. The conclusions of this thesis include practical recommendations for use of contact and non-contact instruments for surface roughness evaluation.
Production of sculptured surfaces with CNC/Heidenhain iTNC 530
Břínek, Martin ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the milling strategies and their suitability for the production of complicated sculptured surfaces using a three-axe milling center and the operation system Heidenhain iTNC 530. The behavior of the tools and the results of the individual milled samples were monitored under changing milling strategies during the experiment. The outcomes of the experiment were seven milled samples and an assessment of the effect of the Machine – Tool – Workpiece system toughness. In addition, the suitability of the milling strategies were evaluated in consideration to the quality of the milled surface and the production time.
Anodizing of Aluminium and Its Alloys
Remešová, Michaela ; Julišová, Martina (referee) ; Čelko, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the hard anodic oxidation of aluminum and its alloys. As an experimental materials were used various aluminum materials, produced by cold forming and casting. The work contains information about chemical composition of the base materials, photographs of their microstructure, the results of surface roughness before and after anodic oxidation, photo anodized layer, measurements hardness oxide layers. For study were used methods light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, surface profilometry and microhardness measurements.
Analysis of SLM production accuracy of sipes for tire molds
Tomeš, Jan ; Rapant, Martin (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
The first part of the diploma thesis is focused on the analysis and evaluation of the current production of sipes by two SLM devices PXL and M2 Cusing, produced by Phenix Systems and Concept Laser companies. The samples of both machines went through the same manufacturing process and the same process of measurement and evaluation, in order to carry out comparison between individual machines. Geometric accuracy, surface roughness, mechanical properties, and material structure of the samples have been compared. For the sipes it was necessary to create a digital evaluation methodology of geometry. In the second part of the thesis, process parameters are selected on the basis of research and further their influence on surface roughness of manufactured sipes is analyzed.
Influence of process parameters on the roughness of the cut during laser cutting of stainless steel thickness 3 mm
Novotný, Jan ; Hála, Michal (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
Theoretical part of the thesis provides an overview of the most often used laser devices in industry and their main domain of application, especially focused on laser cutting. It also explains measuring of surface roughness and thermal cuts qualification. The experimental part deals with the roughness measurement of stainless steel samples cut by a fiber laser and statistical evaluation of influence of process parameters (pressure, speed and power) on the kerf roughness in regard of ČSN-EN-ISO 9013.
Productive Machining of Titanium Alloys - I.
Lengálová, Barbora ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This study consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part of study resumes properties of titanium and it alloys and mentions application field and the way of production. Study includes review of machining strategies of titanium alloys. The materials for cutting tools and various types of tool wear are included. The experimental part of study consists of two partial experiments focused on the face milling by the ball – end milling cutter. First part is focused on facial milling of the inside part of spherical surface by the ball – end milling cutter and thus its surface roughness rating. The second part of experiment focuses on the milling of flat surface by the ball – end milling cutter and consequential analysis of cutting forces when the chip thickness is variable.
Surface morphology of a-CSi:H films prepared from tetravinylsilane in low-temperature plasma
Křípalová, Kristýna ; Pálesch, Erik (referee) ; Čech, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the surface morphology of a-CSi:H films. Films were prepared by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) on silicon wafers using plasma discharge. Tetravinylsilane (TVS) precursor was used for deposition. The set of samples deposited at different effective power (2-150 W) and a thickness of about 0.6 µm was characterized to investigate their surface properties. Atomic force microscopy was used for characterization of surface morphology. Obtained results were used for evaluation of surface roughness and assessment of the effect of the film growth dynamics on the surface topography.
