Design of end effector of industrial robot for folding carton boxes
Gábik, Jaroslav ; Szabari, Mikuláš (referee) ; Kočiš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of an end effector for folding and stapling cardboard boxes of various sizes without the need for manual settings of the device. It also proposes the design of the entire folding process and the related workplace. The entire device is designed to be adaptable to current production requirements. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the description of the actual state of folding boxes. In the next section, two variants are designed and analysed in more detail. After selecting a suitable variant by the multicriterial analysis, corresponding design is suggested and necessary calculations are performed. The mentioned design straightens the boxes with a movable wall. This is followed by an economic evaluation that takes into account calculation of material costs, purchased parts, assembly and necessary equipment. Result of this work is simplification of the already used end effectors for folding boxes and related design of slightly different workplace style.
Architectural visualization in virtual reality
Tools for the Punching Process
Jelínek, Daniel ; Šrajer, Jan (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
Elaborated project is focused on the study of die cutting/punching technology and its aim is research and comparison of machines and principles used, given to the processed material. Within the project, differences between two types of tools used are compared, namely for die cutting of cardboard sheets and punching of metal sheets. The project also includes a design of die cutting tool for pharmaceutical folding boxes with complete stripping tool and counter plate on automated die cutting press Bobst SPanthera 106 LE.
Monument
Mrva, Jozef ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Stratil, Václav (advisor)
I base my spatial installations upon working with waste materials. I use characteristic and aesthetics of cardboard and wooden clippings to express dialogue with geometrical drawings, which I have been producing since the last year. Protracted and unexpectedly-carved shapes resemble timber beams or ruins and can lead to ecological or eschatological questions. The title "Monument" is an ironical disputation with human trace and materials we use without giving them any further attention.
The enzymatic hydrolysis of waste paper - a source of raw materials for production of liquid biofuels
Lepař, Petr ; Stloukal, Radek (referee) ; Gabriel, Petr (advisor)
In diploma thesis the process of enzymatic hydrolysis of waste paper as a source for the production of liquid biofuels is discused. It follows directly the homonymous diploma thesis from Ing. Brummer, and it is based on the findings, which were solved and decided in previous work. In the theoretical part there is a summarization of basic information on the enzymatic hydrolysis of waste paper and the associated influences of various factors of the rate and degree of hydrolysis. Higher attention is paid to a waste cardboard and its pretreatment methods due to the maximalization of the yield of hydrolysis. The next part summarizes options of the fermentative production of biofuels, focusing on the method of simultaneous saccharification and fermentation, where the further appropriate organism for ethanol fermentation is discussed. The last part is about the technological process from the raw material input to the separation of ethanol. In the experimental section the pre-treatment of waste paper in order to maximize the efficiency of hydrolysis was examined. The best results were achieved using a vibratory mill. In addition, various parameters for simultaneous saccharification and fermentation were optimized using enzymes from Novozymes® company and the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The conversion rate of waste paper cellulose to reducing sugars was observed by spectrophotometric method by Somogyi - Nelson and the amount of produced ethanol was quantified using HPLC / RI. As a part of this thesis some conditions (amount of enzyme, substrate, nutrients, yeasts, temperature, pH, type of buffer) were optimized to maximize the effectiveness of the overall process. All experiments were carried out on corrugated cardboard, which was chosen as the most promising material for hydrolysis that was among the waste paper pulp in diploma thesis by Ing. Brummer.
