Power accumulation from renewable energy sources
Kratschmer, Bruno ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
In this thesis I deal with problem of power acumulation from renewable energy sources. First part present the available technologies used for power accumulation. In the second part is designed the systém of acumulation in compressed air with a transformation electric output 1 MW, when is used made elektricity from wind-power plant. In the third part is an assessment in terms of both technical and economic comparison with the use of electicity from the network.
Accumulation of energy from renewable sources
Charvátová, Marie ; Bajko, Jaroslav (referee) ; Fišer, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of accumulation of energy from renewable sources with a closer focus on electricity storage in the "small/home" scale. Delivering energy from renewable sources is highly variable and, in order to cover the time shift between production and consumption, energy must be stored. In the paper are described individual types of energy used in residential housing, sources of renewable energy are presented and various ways of energy accumulation are analyzed. The greatest attention is paid to chemical accumulators, because they are the most suitable solution for home use due to their practicality. At the end of the thesis, operational data from a small demonstration photovoltaic power plant with accumulation of electric energy in chemical accumulators are processed and evaluated.
Alternative and hybrid powertrains of cars
Trněný, Pavel ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with alternative fuels for gas engine, hybrid powertrains of cars and finally electric cars. It creates overview in present day used alternative technologies of car powertrains.
USB battery tester
Andrysík, Lukáš ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis contains construction of battery tester along with primary and secondary cells comparsion. It consists of four parts - the first one focuses on general description of the most commonly used electrochemical cells, their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. Second one relates to design a custom equipment for testing these cells including software, parts values calculations and common problems with the design. Third part is mainly about mechanical design and PCB manufacture. The last section is devoted to comparsion of several models of cells in terms of capacity and performance under different conditions.
Capacity meter for Li-Ion and NiMH accumulators
Pinďák, Lukáš ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Huták, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is primarily theoretical analysis of battery problems, analysis tester capacity of Li-ion and NiMH accumulators and its subsequent construction. The work consists of three main. The first part deals with the electrochemical current sources and their division, a brief description of their charging and final comparison commonly most used batteries. The second part of the thesis is already focused on the practical design of the capacity meter. In this section is explained the issue of measuring voltage, current and temperature of the battery and determination of their capacity. The last part describes the device software. The proposed devices allow measurement capacity Li-ion and NiMH cells at three different load modes and can be recharged after discharge.
Materials for lithium -ions accumulators with higher safety
Divílek, Petr ; Libich, Jiří (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of carbon usage in negative material of lithium-ion batteries, with their structure, preparation and also by testing of their capacity and fire safety. The aim of this thesis is to test fire safety of negative material from selected kinds of graphite and carbon.
Smart accumulator tester and charger
Mílek, Čestmír ; Trmač, Jiří (referee) ; Michálek, Václav (advisor)
Nickel cadmium and nickel metal hydride accumulators sets are currently used for supplying hand tools (screwdrivers,...). Problems of cheap hand tools are chargers, mostly of it doesn’t use any charging driving circuits. In consequence of it the accumulators are kept incorrectly, which causes lowernig of lifetime. This thesis suggest circuit design Main of intelligent charging system, which enable better battery management, increases battery lifetime and lower load of environment.
Wind power production for small-scale energy supply
Pavlik, Richard ; Chroboczek, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is the issue of utilization of wind energy. At first, the cause of wind, measuring methods of wind direction and speed and the principle of utilization of wind energy by wind turbines are described. Subsequently, the structure of wind turbines, the construction of wind parks, the development of new types of wind turbines and the possibilities of energy accumulation are introduced. In conclusion, the concept and the economic evaluation of wind powered system for small scale energy supply is analyzed.
Elimination of Discontinuity Supply of Electric Energy from Renewable Energy Sources
Radil, Lukáš ; Goňo, Radomír (referee) ; Braciník, Peter (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
Doctoral thesis deals with domain of electric energy storage. It seeks to define the methods of accumulation, which can be used in industrial applications and define the conditions for the use of storage systems in electric power systems with extended penetration of renewable energy sources. In the context of current developments in this field is analyzed detail one of the perspective storage systems - Vanadium Redox Battery (VRB). One of the outcomes of this work is economic and energy analysis of storage systems, which are conceived with a disproportion between production and consumption of energy. The work was supported by the Centre for Research and Utilization of Renewable Energy (CVVOZE) no. CZ.1.05/2.1.00/01.0014 and research project no. FEKT S-11-9.
Negative electrodes for sodium ion batteries
Šátek, Dominik ; Libich, Jiří (referee) ; Máca, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with sodium-ion accumulators with focus on negative electrode, introduces basic terms in the field of secondary cells and describes production of accumulators. The result of this work are tested electrodes based on natural carbon and sodium metatitanate. These electrodes are then compared with each other and evaluated.
