Universal Onboard Automotive Computer
Novohradský, Petr ; Crha, Adam (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This work includes the complete design of a prototype embedded system for displaying information from a vehicle. ELM327 chip is described and its basic use. Work also describes the development of the diagnostic socket for  vehicles in European countries. Also contains a complete description of developing schematic, printed circuit board and firmware implementation. The thesis describes the use of realtime operating system in embedded system.
Engine Diagnostic
Holeš, Cyril ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The thesis is focused on determining the methodology of engine diagnostics for vehicles with common rail direct fuel injection. The first section describes the communication between the diagnostic tools and control units, and the common rail system for diesel engines. The next section specifies the procedure for the acquisition, processing and analysis of data using selective diagnostic tools along with software in a numerical computing environment. Subsequently, from the results, the equivalent electronic control of the fuel injection quantity is established for the purpose of research, vehicle servicing. The results may also allow for additional observations to be made.
Use of VAG-COM PROFI Diagnostic Kit in Forensic Engineering
Wertheim, Adolf ; Tylšar, Vladimír (referee) ; Panáček, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis deals with possibilities of application of VAG-COM PROFI diagnostic kit in forensic engineering. After defining a theoretical basis, according to possibilities of evaluation of technical condition of a vehicle, the thesis is focused on applying diagnostic methods using above mentioned diagnostic kit. With respect to opportunities of identification of driving parameters, possibility of acceleration measurement and estimation of engine power are introduced. Describing of methodology and making the final statement are contained in the thesis as a part of every single measurement.
Secured vehicle monitoring using OBDII and LPWAN networks
Remote Monitoring of Selected Vehicle Subsystems
Drahovský, Peter ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis describes the concept and  realization  of embedded system and cloud application, which is designed  for remote monitoring of car subsystems over CAN bus.    There are written several ways of getting information from car subsystems  and process of decoding messages sent over internal car bus.   Data gathering is realised by device based on ESP32, which is sending them to cloud application using wireless networks. Application UI is adapted for mobile devices and serves views containg current and historical gathered data.
iOS Application for Driving Data Extraction and Analysis via OBD-II
Pihrt, Patrik ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bobák, Petr (advisor)
This project aims to create a mobile application for iOS devices that provide valuable information about user's car rides. Needed data are obtained by ELM327 located in OBD-II scanner which can communicate with the car. Obtained data are analyzed using table of limits. The application informs riders about their driving mistakes and giving them tips how to fix them. Trips can be saved and exported in the form of logbook. In addition application includes diagnostic functions that can be found in every other diagnostic application.
Application for Data Acquisition and Processing from OBDII Interface
Kabelka, Michal ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is focused on obtaining data from a car via the OBDII interface. A successive analysis of the measured values, car sensors, control systems and communication principles between them is done. Basic principles for creating Android mobile applications have been also summarized here. However, the main focus is on designing an application which uses a microcontroller ELM327 to communicate with the electronic systems of a real car. The application shows the obtained data in a form that enables the driver to improve his/her driving habits in terms of fuel economy. The application also demonstrates communication with a car outside of the OBDII standard, in this scenario, by controlling a built-in radio in the car.
Car Diagnose Using of OBD module
Sikora, Vojtěch ; Volf, Jaromír (advisor) ; Novák, Viktor (referee)
This thesis deals with the OBD diagnostics, their historical development and current trends. The thesis describes individual technical solutions and principles of their function. There is also a list of devices for testing. The thesis includes economic importance and a simple market research. Then it continues with the testing of the diagnostics itself and of a mobile application. Diagnostics VAG-COM was tested using a personal computer and Diagnostics ELM 327 Modul 1 with an application DashCommand that communicates via WiFi with a smart phone. Everything was done with a Skoda Fabia 1.2HTP with 47kW of power. Testing of the program and application can be a beneficial to the reader, because selected procedures are explained in detail.
