Home automation system
Bajgl, Vojtěch ; Král, Jan (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with home automation systems. First part of the thesis is focused on analysis of commercially available state-of-the-art systems. The most common ones are compared in terms of their functions, properties, principles of operation and their price. Second part of the thesis describes design and development of custom system for home automation. The aim is to build a cheap alternative to the commercially available systems. The design description starts from schematic design of particular components through PCB design to firmware and software development. The system is based on Raspberry PI 2B microcomputer which controls all the required home electronic equipment via user-friendly web-based interface. Several different ways of use of the system are discussed as well as some useful features of the microcomputer.
Emulator for Intelligent Home End Stations
Brychtová, Hana ; Viktorin, Jan (referee) ; Korček, Pavol (advisor)
This thesis covers design and implementation of an application with a graphic user interface emulating the behaviour of end stations for intelligent home. These devices are used for measuring physical quantities and controlling switches. The application is implemented in C++ using Qt Framework. The final product is an application which provides a simple way of testing in a friendly user interface. The main benefit is in enabling a parallel developement of the server application and the developement of the hardware end station devices.
Proposal of electronic security system with intelligent home elements
Kůtka, Michal ; Hynčica, Ondřej (referee) ; Jirgl, Miroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with an electronic security system for the protection of the family house. This bachelor thesis was commissioned by ULIMEX, spol. s r.o. for the purpose of summarize information and expanding the range of products the company mainly components for smart home and home automation. Bachelor thesis contains a theoretical introduction to electronic security systems. In detail there is described norm ČSN EN 50131-1 ED.2 that defines the various security division, but also the requirements for the security system. Part of the thesis was conducted exploration of the Czech market and compared to the biggest rivals of security system Jablotron 100. In this thesis is described in detail the security system Jablotron 100 along with their components to ensure safety, as well as components for the implementation of solutions in the smart home and home automation. Part of the thesis is also the project documentation of the design of electronic security system for the house of the new generation, which is included in the Annex I and Annex II to this document.
Wireless Communication for Home Automation
Sezima, Václav ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of wireless communication among devices and sensors for home automation. The goal is to design and implement a device known as the gateway that is passing messages and commands between sensors and controller that controls them from central point, e.g. computer or mobile phone. A part of this thesis is also a creation of several sensors for the purpose of testing and demonstration. The gateway and sensors are based on development boards WEMOS and Arduino and supports multiple wireless technologies for communication with among themselves and controller.
House wiring
Pospíšil, Filip ; Nahodil, Petr (referee) ; Hammer, Miloš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis addressed the issue of home wiring. The aim was to select the electrical installation, describe its properties and analyze the design in a specific building. An electrical installation, with intelligent home elements from HDL Automation Ltd. Company, was chosen, namely the HDL Buspro system. The work was based on the currently valid legislation, the method of connecting a family house to the distribution network and the design of electrical installations. The thesis is supplemented by some electro technical and economic calculations, followed by an evaluation, discussion and conclusion.
Terminal for remote visualization and control conditions in the house
Szalay, Patrik ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the modification of an existing device for controlling the heating system of the house. The original proposal builds on my bachelor thesis Terminal for visualization and control conditions in a house. Adjustments are based on the findings of the test operation and the deficiencies found in everyday operations. Here, the emphasis is on simple design, low acquisition cost and durability of the resulting device. Newly designed wireless units will replace the original wired sensors, as well as the control unit of the existing device based on the prototype system will be replaced with a new wireless central unit. The alphanumeric display with control buttons will remain as the control panel of this unit. The wireless central unit is connected via a serial communication interface to the visualization and control unit, which extends the offered options of the heating control system.
Internet of Things Device Based on BLE
Débef, Jakub ; Husák, Jiří (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to get familiar with the Internet of things and build devices falling into this category. The assembled device is created on a network client-server architecture and uses wireless communication interface. As the server is used minicomputer raspberry pi with Unix, client devices use an electronic platform Arduino. Created device has been tested.
Energy management of intelligent buildings with related to RES
Michálek, Jiří ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with modelling of virtual building controlled by PLC Foxtrot and using renewable power sources and building energy management system. The paper is composed from two parts. First part is focused on theoretical analysis of smart buildings and renewable power sources. Second part is practical and it’s focused working with PLC Foxtrot, economic benefits of the energy saving systems and on realization of a virtual building.
Communication Protocol Optimization
Buno, Petr ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with smart home issue, analyzes existing solutions and is focused on the system that is developed in collaboration with FIT VUT in Brno. The emphasis is on the description of client application for control and monitoring of smart home system. Furthermore, the work discussed base theoretical knowledge from internet communication field, which is closely related to these issues. The core of the work is to design a communication protocol between the server and a mobile device. Finally, the work also includes a description of a network layer at the device using this protocol. The last part is devoted to testing and evaluation of the final solution.
Integration of New Wireless Technologies and Devices into the BeeeOn Gateway
Bednařík, David ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the integration of new devices from the manufacturers Revogi, Tabu Lumen, Sonoff and HomeMatic into the BeeeOn Gateway software. The theoretical part deals with the architecture of the BeeeOn Gateway software and describes the characteristics, behavior and way of communication with devices from the above mentioned manufacturers. This part of thesis also contains a description of the communication technologies used by these devices. They include Bluetooth Low Energy, the WiFi and the 868 MHz radio. The practical part mentions the way of extension of BeeeOn Gateway software to modules that implement support for smart devices. This section also describes how the correctness of implementation was verified and testing of the entire BeeeOn Gateway software. The testing of gateway is performed by unit and integration tests, which verify the behavior of individual gateway components as well as the whole gateway.
