Influence of high temperatures on concrete properties
Klobása, Jan ; Křížová, Klára (referee) ; Sedlmajer, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to study the problem of the behavior of concrete under high temperatures. The theoretical part of the work summarizes the knowledge about the changes that take place in concrete when it is exposed to a high thermal load that simulates the effects of fire. It also summarizes the effect of high temperatures on the behavior of the individual components that make up concrete. Emphasis is placed on describing the possibilities of eliminating concrete damage at high temperatures. Furthermore, the principles of changes and events due to high temperatures simulating the effect of fire are described. The experimental part summarizes the knowledge related to the composition of concrete, the use of different types of fibers, and other measures in loading concrete at high temperatures. Steps influencing the negative impact on the properties and resistance of concrete to high temperatures are also described. Based on the summarized findings, conclusions are formulated.
Study of durability of wood glue bonds against increased temperature
Kučera, Vít ; Vejpustek,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
In this time are for design of wooden elements available simplified procedures for fire modeling which defines ČSN EN 1991-1-2. But it is not experimentally tested the impact of adhesive on the final value of fire resistance of laminated panels. This diploma thesis solves basic normative practices that could explain the durability of glue bond against increased temperatures. in the practical part will be undertaken to experimentally assess the impact of various kinds of adhesive-based (epoxy, formaldehyde, PUR and EPI) on the glued bond durability against increased temperature. Glued joints that will be subjected to gradual temperature exposure in order to assemble the dependence of the temperature influence on the final strength of the joint according to the type of adhesive.
Architectural and technical inspection of building damaged by fire
Rozsypalová, Iva ; Schmid, Pavel (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
Diploma thesis summarizes knowlegde related to the behavior of structures and material in the fire, focusing mainly on concrete and reinforced concrete structures. It deals with the design and implementation of diagnostic work of Building no. 103 in complex Svit Zlín affected by a large fire. There are presented evaluation of laboratory experiments of samples and static analysis.
Influence of the type of dispersed reinforcement on selected properties of concrete
Gajdušková, Patricie ; Křížová, Klára (referee) ; Sedlmajer, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the usage of fibers in concrete. The fibers are dispersed reinforcement which may have different behaviour based on the material characteristics or the geometric shape of the fibers. Due to this, we may predict the appropriate application of fibers and possibly improve mechanical properties of concrete. At the same time, the influence of used fibers on the behaviour of the concrete when exposed to high temperatures, thus the fire resistance of material, is observed. The purpose of this thesis is to compare the properties of the individual fiber types in concrete, which are suitable for specific application of fibre reinforced concrete.
Structural Analysis of Steel Members in Fire
Runštuková, Monika ; Kytýr, Jiří (referee) ; Gratza, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with solution of steel members under fire conditions. The goal of the thesis is to examine and compare unprotected steel members with steel members protected by different types of passive protection. Calculation is performed according to applicable design standards. ANSYS software is used for thermal and structural analysis.
Steel structure of multi-storey building
Podešť, Jakub ; Štrba, Michal (referee) ; Balázs, Ivan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a steel structure of a multi-storey building in the locality of Opava. The proposal is developed in two variant solutions. Variant 1 has ground plan dimensions of 37,5 m x 37,5 m and a height of 47 m. The variant 2 has ground plan dimensions of 45 m x 45 m and a height of 49,5 m. The modular size of the fields is 7,5 m x 7,5 m. The main supporting structure is made steel columns and beams, ceiling construction with composite steel and concrete joinst and roofing of arched laminated timber. The stability of the structure is ensured by vertical and roof bracings.
Design of concrete structure with respect to fire resistance
Zápotočný, David ; Požár, Michal (referee) ; Perla, Jan (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with design of selected parts of reinforced concrete construction of a multi-storey building with respect of fire resistance. The proposed elements are reinforced concrete locally suported ceiling slab, selected column and wall. These structures are located in the storage hall on the 1st underground floor. Different variants of structural design are consulted and compared in this work. The calculation of internal forces is performed in the calculation software Scia Engineer 19.1. The thesis includes a structural design as well as drawings. The construction is designed according to ČSN EN standarts.
Use of composite materials for the design of concrete structures
Vašátko, David ; Januš, Ondřej (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
Composite reinforcement tends to be perspective material for construction reinforcing. Its application is suitable especially for areas with high level of environmental stress, or environment loaded with physical phenomenon. This thesis is focused on inner FRP reinforcement. Theoretical part deals with mode of production, types of used materials, behavior depending on stress type and different approaches towards designing for short-term or long-term load capacity of composite reinforcement. Practical part includes assessment of precast element, dealing with requirement of non-magnetic reinforcement. Assessment is designed with two alternatives, each of them differing in type of main load-bearing reinforcement. First one works with stainless steel reinforcement, the second one with GFRP one.
Heat resistance of wood bondlines
Šustáček, Jan ; Melichar, Tomáš (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on studying the impact of elevated temperatures on the resistance of bonded joints. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of exposure to temperatures on selected types of adhesives. In the theoretical part was made research and comparison of selected species agglomerated materials and described the issue of fire safety of buildings. To determine the strength characteristics of bonded joints at different temperatures have been made in the practical part load tests according to valid standards.
Fire safety of wood structures
Čtvrtečková, Lenka ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the description, indication and evaluation of the fire resistance of wooden structures. It describes the procedures used to determine the corresponding fire resistance. It also contains a description of construction systems and fire solutions for selected wooden buildings across the world. This bachelor thesis experimentally verifies the fire resistance of mechanically bonded cross laminated timber boards.
