The bachelor’s thesis focuses on environmental education as a cross-cutting topic of the framework educational program and its implementation in secondary school education. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, a definition of environmental education is provided, and the main topics related to environmental issues are described. Educational programs and ways to introduce environmental education into the educational process are also discussed. In the practical part, a quantitative questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze students‘ awareness and attitudes towards environmental issues
To the nature with Jáchymáček - support for environmental education in preschool education

Bachelors thesis is focused on environmental education in kindergarten. Environmental activities contained in this thesis aids for connection between nature and preschooling as well as building-up positive attitude to nature it self amongts children. Bachelor thesis further defines tems related to environmental studies and koncept with in educational framework program. The Author among others things also mentioning the influence of environment on children which is closely related to environmental studies. Than points out on benefits children gains while Theky being educated in nature. The practical part contains thematic units together with specific activities created by the author those are designed for clinical kindergarten and its nearest surroundings such as Vajgar pond, meadow and field ecosystems Jindra´s leasing travil, Slavik forest, kindergarten garden and garden that belong to secondary school. Those units and activities are than evaluated.
Outdoor learning in relation to environmental education in kindergarten.

The methodology of the thesis was to use a quantitative method using a questionnaire to find out the view of a parent of a preschool child on the importance of being in nature in the context of environmental education. In particular, how much free time the preschool child spends in nature and in what manner this time is used. The theoretical section includes chapters focused on 'Environmental Education', 'The Benefits of Being in the Outdoors for the Development of the Preschool Child's Environmental Sense' and 'The Family and its Importance for Environmental Education.' The results of the research investigation showed that for parents of a preschool child, being out-doors is important not only in terms of strengthening physical health and mental resilience, but also in terms of strengthening the child's overall personality. Within the time constraints between work and kid's activities, the parent's aims were to ensure that the child was in a natural environment for at least 27 minutes a day. Due to the kindergarten's outdoor education being outside, the parents fed back that the teacher's intervention with the children was more positively impactful. Using a different natural environment beyond that of the kindergarten garden would also be preferred to increase the scope of outdoor educational activities.
Education of preschool children in the topic of honey bee as an important pollinator.

Presented bachelor thesis was focused on creating a range of educational activities within the framework of environmental education, the aim of which was to raise the awareness of preschool children about the importance of the honey bee as our important pollinator. The main emphasis was placed on a playful form of activities that are intended to arouse children's interest in learning in the given area and, using experiential learning methods, to realize the importance of pollinators for our society and humanity as such. Basic pedagogical terms and terminology were defined in the theoretical part. Another part of the bachelor's thesis was devoted to the origin of the honey bee, its biology and morphology. An integral part of this literary part, a description of the principle of pollination, its impact on food production and environmental biodiversity. In the Practical part, activities focused on a playful form of experiential learning was presented. The presented activities were implemented in a kindergarten in South Bohemia and are described in detail. The program was subjected to reflection, which evaluated the impact of educational offers on children in kindergarten.
Using projects with environmental themes in pre-school education

The bachleor thesis is focused on an environmentally friendly way of life in connection with waste. The aim of the work is to create and apply educational activities that tend to elementary awareness of this topic by childern of preschool age. The theoretical part of thesis is devoted to the definition of terms related to the damage and protection of environment, sustainable development and environmental education of childern. There are also mentioned curricular documents related to environmental education and projects focused on the issue of waste, which can be used by kindergartens. In the practical part are introduced teaching activities implemented in accordance with the tematic plan. Main target of this plane is to create awareness about the possibilities how to protect nature from the increased amount of waste and lead childern to a gentle approach to the nature. The activities are divided into two blocks. The first block is focused on sorted waste, recykling and upcykling. The second block is concentrated on the use of biowaste and composting in the kindergarten. All activities are adapted to the age of childern. Each of the listed activity includes a detailed description, own implementation and reflection.
Teaching pre-school pupils in an outdoor environment

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design various activities for outdoor learning in preschool education. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of the term Environmental Education, the objectives of environmental education, outdoor learning, then the thesis deals with the methods of outdoor learning, as well as the anchoring of environmental education in the Preschool Education Framework. The second part of the thesis includes activities that are primarily designed for the outdoor environment and aim to promote children's positive relationship with the natural environment. The individual activities are described in detail, and the necessary teaching aids are also listed. Feedback on the proposed activities has been provided based on evaluation in practice.
The use of scouting elements at primary school

This thesis analyses primary education and the current trend of environmental education. It focuses on Scout and its educational approach. The starting points and educational principles of scouting are related to the current popular trends in education at primary schools. The Učíme se venku program and Real World Learning were chosen as similar effective environmental approaches that seek to have the same impact on pupils' attitudes and values. The Step by Step program was added to the thesis for the purpose of conducting research in the activity centres. Scout's methods and outlooks on education coincide with these approaches and with the Framework Education Programme in pedagogical goals, such as evolving the pupil's attitudes and values, a partnership approach, a positive relationship with nature and the upbringing of a democratic citizen. The theoretical part of the thesis aims to present the Scout's educational method and to compare it with other environmental programs and the Framework Education Programme, to establish where they agree and where they differ. The aim of the practical part is to find out how it is possible to use the individual elements of these directions in teaching at primary schools. Use of project method in forest kindergartens

The topic of the thesis is the question of the project method. The aim of the thesis is to describe the potential of the project method and to research the use in pedagogical practise in forest kindergartens. The theoretical part defines the term project, presents the historical and theoretical contexts associated with the creation of the project method, and presents practical procedures for creating projects. The next part of the thesis describes the model of cooperative learning and provides information related to the application of cooperative teaching in pedagogical practice. The thesis describes the concept of forest kindergartens, where the research was carried out. A mixed approach was applied in the practical part. The results of the quantitative research, carried out by a questionnaire survey among teachers, showed that teachers in forest kindegartens include the project method in a targeted manner. They see the main benefits in the overall development of the child's personality. The barriers are time management, team cooperation, and lack of skills in cooperative teaching. Children's book and ecology

The aim of this diploma thesis is to map the offer of children's books with ecological themes in the Czech Republic and to create author's own book with a methodological manual for environmental education. In the theoretical part, suitable topics will be researched in books about ecology for environmental education aimed at first grade of primary school and an analysis of children's books focused on ecology will be made. The practical part is devoted to project days, when author's own book is being used, and in the end, a questionnaire concerning the teaching environment at the first grade of primary school is demonstrated.
