The subject of the diploma thesis was the elaboration of a sports complex for the construction stage. The proposed facility will be a modification of the existing state with an extension of the current facility. The building is intended for sports and recreation, has 2 above ground and 1 underground partially basement floor embedded in the sloping terrain of the site. The building contains changing rooms with facilities and accessories, and a newly designed fitness facility with sauna. The building includes outdoor parking spaces. On the first floor of the original building there are changing rooms for sports with facilities and staircase. In the extension of the first floor, fitness and washroom facilities are proposed. In another part there are sanitary facilities for the public and refreshment rooms. On the second floor there is a clubhouse and a lounge. In part of the extension is located 2 nd floor fitness and sauna with its own entrance. In the underground floor there are warehouses. The load-bearing structure consists of solid brickwork in the original part. The extensions are designed in clt panels. The panels form the load-bearing structure for the walls, ceilings and roof. The foundation structures are made of reinforced concrete same as as the underground floor. The façade consists of horizontal larch cladding and folded metal cladding. The insulation consists of mineral wool in the facade and pir boards in the roof.

The Administrative building
Kovařík, Tomáš ; Pobucká, Slávka (referee) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to develop designs of an office building at the level of building permit application. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the architectural and structural designs. The building is situated on the eastern edge of Letovice. It is designed as a three-story detached building with a basement. The roof is flat with multiple hight levels. The floors are connected by stairs and an elevator. The underground level includes utility rooms. The first floor contains a sales area with a showroom, offices, and sanitary facilities for customers and employees. The second floor contains offices and sanitary facilities for employees. The second part includes designs of HVAC, including lighting and rainwater management system. Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery is provided by two ventilation units in utility room. Heating and cooling is provided by two air-water heat pumps. The heat is distributed through floor heating, while cooling is achieved through fan coils. Photovoltaic plant consisting of 35 panels is located on the roof. The third part of the thesis focuses on thermal and cost assessment of two variants of assembly detail of the parapet wall and thermal insulation of the flat roof. I chose the traditional composition because the reverse composition of thermal isolation freezes in winter.

Polička – housing on the edge of the town and landscape
Papcun, Peter ; Lacina, Adam (referee) ; Toman, Radek (advisor)
When I sleep, I am in the most intimate layer possible. When I wake up, I am in bed with my partner with whom I create a layer larger than the previous one. Us and our bed. I share the bathroom with my family, and I meet my friends in the kitchen at breakfast, with whom I share an apartment. I spend my day with neighbours in shared offices located on the ground floor, from which I have a view of the community gardens. In the evening, I will go to a cafe with my former classmates, who live nearby. In the evening I return home, watch a movie in the shared living room, brush my teeth and find myself again in the smallest layer of them all. I'm falling asleep. The housing design follows the idea that a person's life is made up of layers which are interconnected. These are either tangible, such as space, or intangible such as relationships and social contacts. The place in which we live must be adapted to this fact. This proposal is a combination of apartment buildings in cities where every element of the environment is much closer to one another. Additionally, at the same time, the community gardens meet the need for "land ownership’’ which usually fills family houses on the outskirts. Buildings are a combination of community and private housing to give people a choice between more or less privacy. However, features such as a cafe, shared offices, a small shop, or community gardens located on the ground floor are shared spaces. This area is not exclusively based on these buildings, but also on a square that connects them with each other and with the adjacent greenery and small playgrounds.
