New synagogue Jablonec nad Nisou
Adamčíková, Barbara ; Štolfa, Jozef (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design of a new synagogue in Jablonec nad Nisou, which serves not only as a religious space but also as a social and community center for the local, not exclusively Jewish, community. The project aimed to create a multifunctional building that respects the historical significance of the original site while providing a modern and functional environment for spiritual, cultural, and social activities. The architectural solution of the building utilizes modern materials and technologies, including ventilated facades with illuminated glass panels and stainless steel elements, which ensure an aesthetic look and long-term sustainability of the building. In addition to the synagogue, the project includes a kosher restaurant, community spaces, and a shared underground parking lot, all contributing to the revitalization of the urban environment. The project placed maximum emphasis on integrating the building into the historical context of the city and its abstract connection to the neighboring Glass and Costume Jewelry Museum. Great emphasis was also placed on its functional connection with the surrounding environment. The project was developed considering the specific needs of the Jewish community and includes features that support spiritual and community life, such as prayer spaces oriented towards Jerusalem, the community center itself with a library, and outdoor relaxation areas.
The load-bearing reinforced concrete structure
Čapek, Andrej ; Čairović, Dorde (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on the design of the load-bearing monolithic reinforced concrete structure of an apartment building according to the specified documents. The content of the work is the design of a locally supported ceiling slab above the 2 underground floor, for which 3 variants were calculated and compared. Furthermore, the work is devoted to the assessment of a prefabricated staircase. In addition to the text part, a static calculation and drawings of shapes and reinforcements of selected structures are processed.
Single span railway bridge
Janíčková, Lucie ; Koláček, Jan (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is a design of an one-span bridge over a river. The construction of prestressed beam bridge with one field with lower bridge deck is preferred out of all developed options. The construction is designed and assessed to the ultimate limit state and the serviceability limit state according to actual EN standards.
Reinforced concrete slab of the administrative part of the depository
Jirků, Jan ; Strnad, Jiří (referee) ; Požár, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the design and assessment of a reinforced concrete locally supported monolithic slab below the first floor of a library depository. The thesis also includes the design and assessment of a column and a prefabricated staircase. The calculation of internal forces was performed using the finite element method in the SCIA Engineer program, and its accuracy was verified by a manual calculation using the method of moment summation. The slab was assessed for ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. Finally, based on the structural calculation, reinforcement drawings for the individual structures were prepared.
Apartment building
Balát, David ; Zumr, David (referee) ; Brukner, Bohuslav (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the elaboration of project documentation in the stage of construction implementation. The proposed apartment building is located in Brno, in the urban area of Bystrc, district Brno-city and is located on a plot with sloping terrain. The residential building is designed as a detached five-storey building with a flat roof. The individual floors are divided as follows, one underground floor serving as a collective garage with a total of 15 parking spaces including one for disabled persons, there is also a technical background of the apartment building, in the form of a technical room and an air-conditioning room. Furthermore, the building consists of four floors, the first contains 4 separate commercial premises with its own sanitary facilities, the other each floor contains 4 residential units including one apartment adapted for wheelchair users. A total of 12 residential units of different layouts are proposed in the apartment building. The individual floors are connected by a monolithic staircase and a rope elevator without a machine room. The structure of the building is designed as a wall structure, combining monolithic walls in the underground floor and ceramic masonry in the above-ground floors. A contact insulation system ETICS is designed. The ceilings are monolithic reinforced concrete. The roof is designed as a flat single-skin roof with ballasted aggregate. The building is based on a foundation slab.
Design of a single span frame bridge
Karásková, Adéla ; Tomečka, Petr (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the design of a pedestrian bridge over a riverbed. Out of three options, a frame structure with a parabolic ramp in a single span was chosen. The load effects were calculated using the SCIA Engineer program, and the results were processed in MS EXCEL. The structure was assessed for the ultimate limit state and the serviceability limit state. The design was made according to applicable standards and regulations.
Apartment building
Vaněk, Roman ; Blažková, Vendula (referee) ; Daněk, Lukáš (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is to prepare project documentation for a new residential building located in Valašské Klobouky. The residential building consists of four floors, including a basement and three above-ground floors. The basement includes collective garages, technical facilities, a communal stroller room, and separate cellar compartments for each apartment. The three above-ground floors house a total of nine apartments ranging in size from 1+kk to 4+kk. The apartments on the first floor have a terrace on the garage roof, and the higher units have balconies. Sufficient daylight and noise protection are provided by the southwest orientation of the building. The foundation of the building is made of waterproof concrete - a white tank. The structure is partially insulated with foam glass insulation. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed with ceramic blocks, and the horizontal load-bearing structures are monolithic reinforced concrete. The exterior structures above ground level are insulated with an ETICS system using 200 mm thick polystyrene insulation. The residential building has a single-layer flat roof with gravel, and for thermal insulation, foam glass insulation was chosen for its emphasis on quality and durability of the material.
Family house with cinema room
Kurka, Štěpán ; Pobucká, Slávka (referee) ; Sobotka, Jindřich (advisor)
As part of the bachelor's thesis, project documentation was developed at the construction implementation level within the partially required scope. The documentation includes a project for a family house located in the northern part of the village of Kobeřice in Silesia. The new building is integrated into an already developed area of the village and is set into the terrain, taking advantage of the sloping land for the operational solution. The building is designed as a single dwelling unit for permanent residence by five people, with technical facilities and garage space. Access to the dwelling unit is provided from the west side to the first above-ground floor. From a material perspective, the building is designed using predominantly ceramic blocks for both load-bearing and non-load-bearing vertical structures. The building envelope is insulated with an ETICS system to reduce energy consumption. The construction is based on monolithic foundation strips with a base concrete slab. The ceiling structures in the building are made of monolithic reinforced concrete slabs. The building is roofed with two flat single-layer roofs at different height levels. The roof at the lower level is designed with a vegetative surface finish.
Apartment building
