Hojka, Vladimír ; Jelen, Karel (advisor) ; Otáhal, Jakub (referee) ; Kampmiller, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Myodynamics of the support phase during different take-off tasks in human locomotion Objectives: Six types of take-off movement were analyzed in terms of support limb kinematics, take-off dynamics and muscle activation, in order to identify differences in motor control. Methods: 14 male athletes (22.6 ± 4.4 years; 182.4 ± 5.3 cm; 74.7 ± 6.2 kg) took part in laboratory experiment. Each athlete performed six different take-off movements (running, acceleration - first and second step, long jump take-off, high jump take-off and take-off to the hurdle). System Qualisys was used to analyze kinematics of the support limb. Dynamic of the suport phase was measured with Kistler 9281 EA force- plate. ME6000 apparatus was used to measure the muscle activation. Results were processed and statistically evaluated in Matlab (MathWorks, Inc) environment. Pair ANOVA, T-test and Friedmann test were performed to identify differences between take-off movements. regression analysis was introduced to find the relationship between parameters. Results: Significant differences in take-off dynamics are realized with not so significant differences in kinematic and electromyographic parameters. high jump and long jump take-offs acted most specifically in comparison with other types of take-offs. Two typically...

Urban, Petr ; Hofmannová, Marie (advisor) ; Fořtíková, Jitka (referee)
This diploma thesis has outlined the issues of gifted education and the problems which this whole area of education faces. It introduced the basic topics related to the gifted population such as the gift itself, its division etc. In addition, it described the basic forms of work with gifted students, with emphasis on the importance of teacher training and introduced (using interviews) the personal characteristics of teachers which are considered by the gifted students important. Furthermore it presented specific training needs of gifted students and showed the possibilities in helping the gifted. In its second part, this diploma thesis also presented some of the unusual methods which can be used in the process of teaching and which are usually highly effective when presented to gifted students. Individual methods were analysed and possible applications of each of those were described. For a better understanding, each of the methods was accompanied by an example. During the research I realized even more that the issue of gifted children and gifted individuals in general in the Czech Republic is not sorted out adequately. There are still many challenges to solve before talented individuals will be given the space for their education and also the following application at work and in life. Therefore,...
Accelerated Neural Networks on GPU
Tomko, Martin ; Zachariášová, Marcela (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the implementation of an application for artificial neural networks simulation and acceleration using a graphics processing unit. The computation and training of feedforward neural networks using the Backpropagation algorithm are the main focus of this thesis, but the application also supports other network types, and it makes it possible to extend the application with different training algorithms. Next, the application allows us to create neural networks with structural anomalies, and thus, to test the neural network's fault tolerance. The application is implemented in the C++ language, using OpenCL to manage GPU computation. The Backpropagation acceleration results were compared with the free open source library FANN.
Acceleration of Object Detection Using Classifiers

Relational Verification of Programs with Integer Data
