The project to replace gas resource by biomass
Lochman, Petr ; Frömel, Zdeněk (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This master’s thesis describes the design and calculation of the biomass hot water boiler which should be used for heating of office buildings in a collective farm. Fuel composition was determined by recommended literature. Stoichiometric calculations were processed for the fuel composition. The required boiler heat output was determined and compared with the original gas boiler, which was previously used for heating. The thermal calculation of the boiler and the design of the heat exchanger was also performed.
Steam boiler for biomass
Knichal, Jaroslav ; Obrovský, Jan (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
At present, people already fully aware of how expensive it is energy dependence on fossil fuels. Trying to reduce this dependence goes hand in hand with environmental limits, which restrict the production of dangerous compounds. Biomass is a fuel that does not create large amounts of sulfur and carbon dioxide generated during combustion is in a closed cycle. Different types of biomass have different calorific value, and therefore different demands on the quantity needed to produce MWh. It is therefore necessary to choose the fuel with regard to the availability of in the site.
Budisov-Biomass heating plant
Petrovský, Jiří ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This dissertation contains a comparison of the real possibilities for heating reconstruction and TUV reheating in three public buildings (located nearby one another) in Budišov township, with resulting recommendations of the best options for local operating conditions. The dissertation contains calculations of heating requirements for particular buildings, a generic theoretical part which summarizes basic data concerning long-term fuels (biomass and natural gas), proposals for technical solutions to heating sourcing concerning these fuels and its prospective distribution from a central boiler house, and its reciprocal comparison from the perspective of the economics of actual realization and operation, and from a perspective of fuel availability and ecology.
Optimization of electric power consumption of gasification wood boiler
Fejta, Vojtěch ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
This thesis deals with the optimization of the electrical supply of a domestic boiler. The objectives were description of the legislative requirements for domestic boilers, comparison of their electrical input, description of the design of the main electrical components of domestic boilers, comparison of their parameters, analysis and design of constructional modifications leading to reduction of the electrical input of the selected domestic boiler and implementation of the proposed measures. The thesis is divided into four main chapters, the first two are devoted to boilers and their electrical components. In the third chapter, a new boiler blower impeller and other modifications are designed to reduce the power consumption. The last fourth chapter deals with the design, assembly and testing of these modifications.
Design of a heating system for a house
Peřina, Petr ; Kalivodová, Markéta (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the proposal of a suitable heating system for a family house. The first part contains an overview of different methods of heating. The second part is focused on the calculation of heat losses and heat demand of a particular family house. In the third part, various heat sources are designed and compared for this object. At the end of the work, these proposals are evaluated and a suitable source, which would be advantageous to replace the existing one, is selected.
Change of the fuel base of the grate hot water boiler with output of 50 MWt from coal to natural gas
Maštera, Václav ; Pecháček, Michal (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is change of the base of the grate hot water boiler wit output of 50 MWt from coal to natur gas. The supply water temperature is 70°C and the pressure 2MPa. The first part of thesis, the coal consumption for the current state of the boiler is calculated. For a natur gas is calculated stoichiometric calculation and then thermal calculation performed. This thesis also assesses the type of boiler operation after changing the fuel base.
Modern Application for Household Heating
Šoupal, Filip ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the research of basic sources, methods, and possibilities of heating modern family houses. The thesis is divided into three parts, the first one is focused on the advantages and disadvantages of individual heating sources in the use of renewable and non-renewable energy sources. The next section thoroughly describes and compares the methods of heating considering current emission standards. At the end, there is a technical and economic comparison of the variant of the current gas boiler with the variant of the automatic coal boiler and the modern heat pump. The comparison in interpreted on a model house through performed calculations. For better accuracy, the thesis is enhanced with pictures and tables.
Modular Horizontal Heat Recovery Steam Generator
Primes, Alois ; Nantl, Radomír (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG). Theintroductory part is devoted to a brief description of the boiler, the specified parametersand the compilation of the temperature profile. The main computational part of thiswork is divided into 6 parts. The first contains preparatory calculations, including thecalculation of boiler eiciency. In the second part, a flue gas duct is designed. This isfollowed by a thermal calculation of the boiler for all heat exchange surfaces. The last 3parts deal with the design of the drum, piping and the loss of boiler draft calculation.
Energy supply for greenhouse production
Najbrtová, Zuzana ; Poláčik, Ján (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The import of the vegetable has prevailed in the long run over the own production. In connection with this reality and increasing demand for the food with higher quality the production greenhouse is more often built. The providing heat, cold and electricity for the year-round operation is related to the construction and working of these objects. The theoretical part of this theses describes possible ways how to cover energy consumption for the model greenhouse in Kožichovice, Třebíč region. The heat losses and the year-round heat consumption were stated for the selected model and compared with the exact values from Kožichovice. The following method of energy supply was selected based on the calculated energy consumption - the separate cogeneration unit, cooperation of several cogeneration units, a biogas station, a heat pump and central heating system. These methods of energy supply were subjected to technical and economical comparison.
Design of heating system for family house
Houzar, Filip ; Elbl, Patrik (referee) ; Lachman, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with ways of family house heating. This thesis aimed to choose a suitable heating system for a specific family house. The first part of the thesis deals with a search of commonly used heat sources. This part contains a description of the work of these heat sources and their pros and cons. The following part introduces a specific family house, and the calculation of heat loss and annual heat consumption is performed. Then, three proposals are selected, for which the costs of their operation and return are calculated. At the end of the thesis, the proposals are compared and evaluated from an economic point of view. Based on this comparison, the most suitable proposals are selected, and the conclusions are commented on.
