Experiences of Foster Parents with the Contact of Entrusted Children with their Biological Relatives
ZEMAN, Přemysl
This bachelor's thesis focuses on experiences of foster parents with the contact of entrusted children with their biological relatives. It consists of a theoretical and a research part. The theoretical part is devoted to a description of the history of foster care in the Czech Republic, the arising and termination of foster care, types of foster care, rights and duties of foster parents, doses of foster care, foster Parents support and Contact with the biological family. In the practical part, qualitative research was conducted using semi-structured interviews in which the research sample was represented by 7 informants from among foster parents. The interviews were analysed using an open coding method and on this basis 7 categories were created, which were divided into 13 subcategories. The aim of the study was to describe foster parents experiences of their foster children's contact with their biological family, to find out how foster parents perceive the benefits of their foster children's contact with their biological family and how foster children prepare for this contact. The research shows that the law does not pay much attention to the feelings and perceptions of foster parents, it also found that foster children are closely attached to their foster families, it also found that uncooperative and pathological biological parent can be a source of problems in foster care. This thesis could be used to further research of foster care issues. It could also potentially be used as a source of information for interested social workers and lay people.
Management of Informal Care
POSLUŠNÁ, Věra
Informal care is a care provided by a lay caregiver, who is usually a family member (husband/wife, daughter/son) or a neighbour and is provided in the natural home environment of the person being cared for. The main goal of the thesis is to find out how the issue of informal care is solved in the administrative district of the municipality with extended jurisdiction of České Budějovice in the context of health and social care. A partial goal is to find out the experiences of informal caregivers with caring for a close person. The thesis was prepared as part of the project of the Technological Agency of the Czech Republic, ÉTA program "Support of informal caregivers in the South Bohemian region through audiovisual means including virtual reality (no. TL03000518). A qualitative research strategy was chosen for the research part of the thesis. The interview method and the in-depth interview technique were chosen as the method. The data was processed by thematic analysis. The research group consisted of 11 informal caregivers who take care of a close person aged 65+ in a home environment in České Budějovice The research showed that informal care is addressed within the National Strategy for the Development of Social Services for the period 2016-2024. The South Bohemian Region deals with informal care within the medium-term plan for the development of social services of the South Bohemian Region for the period 2022-2024. The Statutory City of České Budějovice deals with informal care in the strategic framework R-Social Services Plan of České Budějovice for the period 2022-2024 and in the Action Plan of the R-Plan of Social Services České Budějovice 2022-2024 for the year 2024. The experiences of informal caregivers revealed barriers such as lack of information about health and social services, ignorance of social benefits and contributions, little awareness of support programs, especially at the beginning of caregiving. Research has shown that caregiving affects several areas of informal caregivers' lives.

Sejkorová, Michaela
The content of the bachelor‘s thesis on the topic "Training of a young horse with a focus on the use in jumping competitions" is the gradual development of a young horse to an adult individual with competition experience. It is divided into several chapters in which jumping competitions are first summarised in general, including the penalties in them. Other chapters deal with the requirements for selecting a jumping horse, what characteristics it should have, i.e. its exterior, character, temperament and origin. Then the proper longeing of the horse, its preparation for saddling, and the actual saddling of the horse itself, which is essential for any training of a young horse. The main part of the bachelor thesis is the basic training of the young horse. This part deals with the gradual gradation of training requirements, i.e. the work of the young horse on the riding arena and in the field, and also the work with cavalettes through gymnastic exercises to independent jumping. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the preparation of the young horse for the first competitions and the subsequent increase of the riding requirements for the young horse towards the participation of the horse in higher levels of competitions.
The effect of experience and floral traits on preferences and flower constancy in Eristalis tenax
Haveldová, Alice ; Janovský, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Mikát, Michael (referee)
Intraspecific pollen transfer is crucial for ensuring successful pollination and subsequent reproduction of many plant species. Mechanisms directly influenced by plants, that can increase the proportion of intraspecific pollen through their flower form (individual floral traits) are preferences and constancy of pollinators. The proportion of intraspecific pollen transfer increases with higher preferences or constancy of the pollinator. Pollinator preferences and constancy tend to change over its lifetime based on experience with the flowers they have visited. Very few studies have examined the effect of experience on preferences and especially constancy in relation to multiple floral traits in hoverflies (Syrphidae, Diptera), which are an important pollinator group. In this study, I investigated the degree of preference and constancy of common drone fly Eristalis tenax L (Syrphidae) as a function of two floral traits, colour and size, and as a function of experience. I did so by monitoring visits and flights in arrays of artificial flowers. The hoverflies were of two origins: naïve (reared under laboratory conditions, with no previous experience of visiting flowers) and experienced (captured in the wild with previous experience). Naïve individuals made decisions primarily based on colour, with size...
