Model of the bridge for presentation of the member system
Chlup, Pavel ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis, the individual parts of the model bridge structure are explained with a brief commentary on their creation. Subsequently, the computational modelling of the problem using statics and its practical solution using strain gauges and MATLAB software is elaborated upon. The thesis is divided into a total of four chapters, where the first one is devoted to research on the application of statics and strain gauges. Subsequently, the function of each part of the fabricated model is formulated and a static model of the truss system which is equivalent to the fabricated model but is statically indeterminate without further considerations is presented. Then, the principle on which strain gauges are applied to solve the insolvability of the system is explained and as a result, the force action in the truss system as a function of the load is plotted using an application developed in MATLAB software. The result is a comparison of the measured and calculated values in the truss system.
Production of laboratory equipment for measuring human reaction time
Indruch, Tomáš ; Slabý, Vojtěch (referee) ; Rubeš, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the introduction to mental chronometry and its phases as well as the reaction time measurements and already existing possibilities. The practical part focuses on the design, construction and testing of the device itself including components choices and measured data displaying.
System with RC Model Servos
Kutěj, Jaromír ; Nosko, Svetozár (referee) ; Musil, Martin (advisor)
This thesis addresses the design of a movable RC model with a use of servo motors. It describes both the analysis of suitable hardware and a realization of the project with an emphasis on microcomputer controlled devices and technologies communication technologies with said devices. Furthermore, an interaction a interfacing with user is discussed. Based on findings a system is then implemented in form of a model of a car built atop of microcomputer, controlled wirelessly using a mobile application. This system is then enhanced by proximity sensors that prevent collisions by halting movement of the car.
Probabilistic Localization of Mobile Robot
Kopečný, Tomáš ; Luža, Radim (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
Motion control, navigation and sense of orientation of a mobile robot are tied to development of every mobile robot. This work concerns mainly about robot localization in the sense of orientation in space. Nevertheless, nor other aspects of mobile robotics are being omitted. Therefore, the goal of this work is to get familiar with Monte Carlo localization algorithm and apply this algorithm on a real robot.
The remote-control workplace of sensor technology
Knopp, Daniel ; Vaško, Cyril (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is focused on a specific virtual laboratory support, which is designed and created as a device capable of data transferring to display and/or computational unit via serial port. Both the device and common PC are generally a corner stone of each virtual laboratory, which can be also accessed via internet. Technique, significant factors with impact of analog disturbances on digital communication and realization of standalone virtual laboratory are described in detail.
One-way serial laser communication over longer distances
Valent, Adam ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the construction of one-way communication device. This device consists of the transmitter and the receiver, both of which are connected to its respective computer via USB interface. This device allows sending UTF-8 characters or files from one computer to another. Both computers are running a graphical user interface program. The core of a transmitter is a digital signal modulating laser diode. The receiver is made of photovoltaic panel with a resonance circuit and an amplifier. Communication between the electronics and the computer is driven by microcontrollers. Received messages are verified with one of multiple error detection algorithms, which can be selected by user in the utility program.
Intelligent monitoring device
Nosek, Zdeněk ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Kadlec, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master thesis discusses design and realization of a security device for vehicles. This device can determine its actual location, discover unauthorized trespass and send information about this to a distant master system too. This distant master system can show the exact position of the security device on a map. The hardware and software for this security device and the software for the master system are described in this paper.
Wireless interface for digitally-controlled applications
Valouch, Martin ; Rumánek,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The thesis aim is in practical realization of wireless interface, which is created by infrared relay in motorcycle Simson. Infrared relay is used for speed measuring. This work describes the realization of digital controlling by microcontrollers. Digital controlling can easily improve and upgrade functions for better driving comfort. It’s possible by getting information about condition of selected motorcycle parts. This information can be engine temperature, battery charge, total distance and etc.
RISC-V Processor Peripherals
Vavro, Tomáš ; Kekely, Lukáš (referee) ; Martínek, Tomáš (advisor)
The RISC-V platform is one of the leaders in the computer and embedded systems industry. With the increasing use of these systems, the demand for available peripherals for the implementations of this platform is growing. This thesis deals with the FU540-C000 processor from SiFive company, which is one of the implementations of the RISC-V architecture, and its basic peripherals. Based on the analysis, an UART circuit for asynchronous serial communication was selected from the peripherals of this processor. The aim of this master thesis is to design and implement the peripheral in one of the languages for the description of digital circuits, and then create a verification environment, through which the functionality of the implementation will be verified.
Data transmission in GPRS and EDGE networks
Slovák, Jiří ; Ries, Michal (referee) ; Hanus, Stanislav (advisor)
The thesis is conceived as a part of the laboratory task innovation in subject Radio and mobile communications. The main part of the project is to create a complex GUI application in MATLAB programming environment that mediates measuring of bitrate in GPRS and EDGE networks, communication with used modem via virtual serial port and consists of other related functions. The problematics is at first described in detail on theoretical basis with special focus on physical layer of mobile technologies mentioned above. In practical part, there are briefly outlined mechanisms that were used during development. The following part consists of a detailed description of the application itself, created using gained theoretical knowledge.
