Design of the steel structure in building for climbing wall and its facilities
Koiš, Matej ; Pešek, Ondřej (referee) ; Bukovská, Pavla (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the design, assessment and creation of structural model of steel load-bearing structures of roofing and climbing wall in the building of university climbing centre situated in Pardubice, while applying BIM principles. During processing the thesis, it was necessary to cooperate with students of other professions, who were part of the shared bachelor thesis. The building of climbing centre has four aboveground floors and one underground floor and is divided into two parts – hall with the climbing wall and hinterland. Steel roof structure has 12° incline and functions separately above both parts of the building. The structure is composed of steel roof beams of I sections and on the part above the hall it was necessary to add the stabilization reinforcement. The construction is anchored to the concrete periphery and inner load-bearing walls with the anchoring bolts. In the part of the roof above the hinterland, there is an entrance to the terrace and so a steel lintel must have been added. The roof structure in this part is connected to this lintel with screws. Climbing wall situated in hall is 16 m high and is made of two climbing profiles and contains hollow square and circular sections complemented with log rods. Climbing wall is anchored to the concrete slab by chemical anchors.
University climbing centre, Pardubice
Grund, Michal ; Remeš, Josef (referee) ; Müller, Jan (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the design of a new climbing center and the preparation of construction documentation. The building of the University Climbing Center in Pardubice is located on the southern side of the city of Pardubice, on the border of the Dukla housing estate. The construction is situated in a built-up area on flat terrain. It is a 4-story building in the form of an oval with one underground floor. The roof structure is mono-pitched with a coating of hydro insulation weighted down with washed river pebbles. The building is divided into 3 functional units. The main function of the building is served by the climbing wall, which is accessible from the underground floor and runs across all floors. The second above-ground floor houses a boulder wall with facilities, forming the second functional unit. The last third function consists of space for both trainees and the public on the first above-ground floor, where there is a reception with a rental service and a café with seating in a glazed arc space. The sports facility is designed for a total of 60 trainees. The building is designed with nearly zero energy consumption in a low-energy standard. The design also accounts for the use by persons with limited mobility and orientation. The structural system of the building is reinforced concrete monolithic. The vertical perimeter structures are reinforced concrete with a thickness of 200 mm with contact insulation ETICS with mineral wool boards with a thickness of 200 mm. Internal vertical and horizontal load-bearing structures are of reinforced concrete with varying thicknesses. The roof structure consists of steel rolled I profiles anchored to the vertical walls. The roof assembly is on a load-bearing trapezoidal sheet with a coating of hydro insulation made of TPO foil weighted down with washed river pebbles. The building is founded on a flat foundation slab with a thickness of 350 mm. A terrace for seasonal operation of the café and a small forest park with a playground will be created on the site.

The subject of the thesis is the design of the SPORTS HALL AND ITS FACILITIES FOR THE PRIMARY SCHOOL HUDCOVA 35, BRNO. The diploma thesis directly follows on from the developed urban planning study from subject AG056 - Pre-diploma project. It simultaneously recognizes pedestrian and traffic communication directions and connections to the immediate surroundings. The proposed hall together with the background, a tribune for 300 spectators, a multifunctional hall and a clubhouse with a buffet has the shape of a pure block cut into the terrain. It uses materials such as wood, glass and concrete. It consists of 3 floors and an entrance mezzanine. The balance between the proposed sports hall, the expression of respect for the current natural scenery and terrain relief is taken into account in the architectural expression of the entire object.

Sports and Relaxation Centre Vsetín, Ohrada
Marková, Dominika ; Kotek, arch Jakub (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The assignment is an architecture and urban planning study of a sports and recreation center. The solved area is located in the town of Vsetín, in the part called Ohrada. Nowdays, the area is obsolete, unfunctional and also unmodern. My project is mainly focused to create a concept that responds to the environment, offers outdoor and indoor spaces for all generations. It allows better connection with nature, variable use, and division of area by function. The design is defined by the river Bečva on the west side and a busy 1st class road on the east side. It was important to separate pedestrians and cyclists from motor vehicles. The response to this restriction is to direct traffic in the area to the west, towards the river. This creates a terrain works that optically deflects the design in a quieter direction. Buildings are placed in the line and oriented in the western direction. After creating the terrain, I divided the area into several segments according to functionality. In the heart of the area, a multifunctional central hall with an inner climbing wall is set in the terrain. In front of it is a public space for meetings, sports and recreation. On the other side, there is a basketball court, a workout playground, a children's playground in front of the hall and a rest area of ??greenery closer to the river. If we continue southerly down, another cube set into the terrain is a building with a restaurant and a cafe. The southernmost building is a tennis club with facilities for athletes and squash. In front of the building there is a 9x tennis court with a grandstand. Closer to the river and the bike path there is an outdoor climbing wall. From the newly created embankment, the area is divided by a cycle path around the river. Behind the bridge is a green belt separated area which, unlike the previous ones, is tuned in a calmer spirit. We will find a building of a yoga and meditation center.
