Trust between the workers of People and Roma clients.
Göttelová, Agáta ; Spalová, Barbora (advisor) ; Procházková, Barbora (referee)
Within the European Union, the Czech Roma minority faces one of the highest levels of discrimination. However, the approach of social workers who help Romani people solve problems caused by this discrimination has its specificities. Building trust in the relationship between the social worker and the Romanui client is one of the essential requirements for successful social work. My bachelor's thesis focuses on the relationship between a social worker and a Romani client, with an emphasis on trust. The theoretical part describes the concepts of social work, trust, and the Roma population. Furthermore, these concepts are interconnected, thus I describe trust in the context of social work, Romani clients in social work, and trust within the Roma population.Additionally, my work addresses two research questions - Research Question 1: How does trust manifest, build, and transfer within the context of social work with Romani clients? and Research Question 2: How does social work adapt to the cultural contexts of Romani clients? In the analytical part of the work, I analyze data obtained through semi-structured interviews and participant observation in selected services, primarily in a low-threshold facility for children and youth and in a preschool club. For ethical concerns, I am not mentioning the...
Trust and Reputation in Distributed Systems
Samek, Jan ; Návrat,, Pavol (referee) ; Šafařík,, Jiří (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
This Ph.D. thesis deals with trust modelling for distributed systems especially to multi-context trust modelling for multi-agent distributed systems. There exists many trust and reputation models but most of them do not dealt with the multi-context property of trust or reputation. Therefore, the main focus of this thesis is on analysis of multi-context trust based models and provides main assumptions for new fully multi-contextual trust model on the bases of them. The main part of this thesis is in providing new formal multi-context trust model which are able to build, update and maintain trust value for different aspects (contexts) of the single entity in the multi-agent system. In our proposal, trust value can be built on the bases of direct interactions or on the bases on recommendations and reputation. Moreover we assume that some context of one agent is not fully independent and on the bases of trust about one of them we are able to infer trust to another's. Main contribution of this new model is increasing the efficiency in agent decision making in terms of optimal partner selection for interactions. Proposed model was verified by implementing prototype of multi-agent system when trust was used for agents' decision making and acting.

Multiple-Context Trust Model for a Social Network Using Personality Analysis

Climate change deniers and believers on the TikTok media platform: similarity and difference in the distribution of their knowledge claims
Kasenov, Ayken ; Balon, Jan (advisor) ; Coufal, Linda (referee)
In the era of the dominance of social networks, not only communication but also conflicts have undergone significant changes. Polarization and radicalization that occur due to the isolation of groups in their informational echo chambers cause radicalization of ideas. The ideas of existence of the climate change have split the users of TikTok into two opposing categories. This study aims to understand what are the similarities and differences in how users of the social network TikTok perceived the differences inside and outside an algorithm-based social network. To answer this question, a comparison of the interview data of 5 climate change believers and 5 deniers was made. The results of the research suggest that echo chambers do not prevent the creation of an opinion-challenging environment for both groups. However, the groups have perceived their informational environment differently, with climate change believers noticing more frequent exposure to opposing information.
