Coupled model of DC machine
Komorous, Jan ; Kraml, Aleš (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the creation of a DC motor model with an emphasis on the interconnection of individual domains and subsequent comparison with real behavior. In the first part, the model is created using equivalent substitute diagrams for the electrical, mechanical, and thermal parts. In the second part, the implementation is carried out using MathWorks software, along with the creation of a missing block for heat transfer by natural convection. The resulting behaviors are compared with a real DC motor.
Active noise radiometry and its applications
Hudec, Marek ; Motúz, Rastislav (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this work is to analyze the application of microwave noise field in active radiometry. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical description of physical processes that result in different types of noise signal. Furthermore, the properties of noise and noise field for which noise could have potential applications in radiometry are described. The principles of radiometry itself are then described, in which the mechanisms of electromagnetic wave propagation in material environments are explained, as well as the concept of the radiometer as a tool for measuring radiation of material objects. The first part of the work is concluded with the use of active radiometry in combination with a noise field. The second part of the thesis is focused on the design of a noise radiometry measurement system, in which the theoretical knowledge from the first part is applied. The design deals with the overall concept of the measurement system, the different configurations for measuring material properties, the design of the noise radiometer and the noise radiator. The possibilities of increasing the noise performance of the radiator are also discussed. The last section of the work is devoted to microwave noise tomography, its comparison with optical coherence tomography, and the Fabry-Perot interferometer as a tool for examining the profile of material structures using a noise field.
Determination of evapotranspiration from small catchments
Toušková, Jitka ; Šípek, Václav (advisor) ; Možný, Martin (referee) ; Brom, Jakub (referee)
Evapotranspiration (ET) plays a significant role in the hydrological balance. The terms potential (PET) and reference (RET) evapotranspiration are often used while estimating its rate. The doctoral thesis deals with the estimation of PET, RET and other selected processes. First, the influence of net longwave radiation (the component of radiation balance) on the rate of PET was examined. It was found that the standard methods result in the significant differences in PET estimation due to the absence of model calibration to local conditions. The original model caused distinction in the PET evaluation for the Liz experimental catchment by up to 100 mm/year. Calibration of the parameters of two commonly used methods for calculating net longwave radiation reduced the error in PET evaluation to less than 20 mm/year. PET or RET estimation itself can be performed by many direct or indirect methods. Their accuracy is highly discussed. This work focused on selection of suitable methods and their further testing on conditions of 18 stations in the Czech Republic. 37 methods were compared with measured data. It was proven, that the best results in this region were achieved by combination methods (with average RMSE of 1.2 mm/day, 18.6 mm/month, and 33.3 mm/year). Among individual models, the radiation-based...
Energy efficient detached house with fitness centre
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Kalánek, Jiří (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
Documentation of project in degree for realization of two floor detached house with fitness centre situated in locality Račice-Pístovice near Vyškov. Building is designed with regular elongated rectangular ground plan of the second floor, in the first floor is larger by fitness centre with the ground floor in the L-shape. Building envelope will be made of exact blocks Ytong with external insulation certified system and with wooden frames of windows with insulating glazing. House is gabled. The idea was to design building envelope energetically efficient with classification class of penetration of heat as B - efficient.
Liveness Detection of a Hand
Vanický, Jozef ; Kanich, Ondřej (referee) ; Sakin, Martin (advisor)
This thesis solves the security problem of biometric systems which uses biometric data of a hand. It focuses on the absence of liveness detection during verification of a sample by the biometric system. In result this thesis offers to extend the contactless biometric systems by a system of liveness detection, which utilizes specific properties of human skin and its reactions to certain wavelengths of the visible spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. Reactions of the skin on the specific wavelengths of visible spectrum are analyzed and compared with the reactions of inorganic materials which imitates the hand. Outcome of this thesis is a design and implementation of a liveness detection algorithm, which can, based on the analysis of a set of photographs of the human palm, which was exposed to four wavelengths of a visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum, successfully recognize a hand from a counterfeit with an average accuracy rate of 82.20 %.
Non-contact Temperature Measurement
Lata, Miroslav ; Janečka, Jan (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
The object of this bachelor thesis was to create a study of development non-contact temperature measurement and show methods of measurement in infra-red radiation area. The beginning of this work is focused on major notions and definitions necessary to introduce non-contact temperature measurement topic. Other interest of this work was to mention possible error rate of measurement, it’s reasons then name some ways of calibration of a measuring equipment with it’s reasons too. Last part of this thesis was focused on a practical using of these measuring devices.
Nuclear accidents
Mik, Martin ; Suk, Ladislav (referee) ; Vojáčková, Jitka (advisor)
This thesis is a research dealing with nuclear accidents and disasters in the world and us. The work is divided into several parts. The first part deals with the regulation of nuclear safety in the Czech Republic. The second part describes the international INES scale. The last and largest section deals with the actual accidents and disasters.
The effect of operating position of the light source on the photometric parameters
Šťastný, Jakub ; Štěpánek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
The theses discusses how operating position and ambient temperature affect electric light sources. For the purposes of this theses, the analysis of light radiation, the description and the principle of taking measurements of light quantities are included. The work also contains the principle of function, construction and parameters of light sources. For each light source a hypothesized impact of the operating position of the light source and the impact of ambient temperature variation on radiated luminous flux are stated. For selected light sources a measurement of the impact of the operating position on the sources’ photometric parameters was taken. The output measurement data are being compared to the theoretical hypotheses. The conclusion of the thesis describes suggested recommendations for the operation of light sources based on both theoretical and practical parts of the thesis.
Heating of flat house
Zajíček, Václav ; Vendlová, Lucie (referee) ; Topič, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is composed of three parts - theoretical, computational and a project part. The theoretical part deals with heat sharing through conduction, flow and radiation. The computational part is focused on the overall calculation of the heating system to operate smoothly and reliably. Three gas condensing boilers are designed as a source of heat. The heating of the water is solved as a reservoir. It's source of heat is one gas condensation boiler. The project part contains a technical report and the project documentation on the stage of the implementation dossier.
Calculation of thermal resistance of finned heatsink
Kyanka, Radim ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the problem with analytical calculations needed to define thermal resistance of finned heat sinks. First it describes how temperature proceeds at different boundary conditions at fin tip. Than it describes different mechanisms of heat transfer, equlation of heat resistance especially of natural and forced convection. To verify the results there is comparison between analytical equlations written in Matlab program and measuring results.
