On Ideal and Political Heritage of the Czech Poet

The contribution sums up the ideological and political attitudes and the actual political activity of Viktor Dyk from the beginning of the 20th century to his death in 1931. It attempts to show the specificity of his nationalism which was significant for its strong morale foundation and for the criticism towards his own nation, which also postulated a demanding national-political program of maximum possible. It briefly looks into essential of the differences and controversies between Dyk and T. G. Masaryk.
