Losses in induction machines supplied by a frequency converter
Lípa, Miroslav ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Bárta, Jan (advisor)
Diplomová práce se zabývá měřením asynchronního motoru se dvěma různými zdroji napájení, a to s frekvenčním měničem a generátorem. Tyto dva zdroje napájení byly následně simulovány pomocí metody konečných prvků a porovnány.
Fault Tolerant Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
Vaško, Dávid ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with fault-tolerant machines. The first part covers the theory of faults in electrical machines and the possibility of increasing fault tolerance, especially for PMSM. The second part includes the analytical calculation of the main dimensions of the Dual-Three phase Fault-Tolerant surface mounted permanent magnet machine needed to create a RMxprt model. In the third part, the thesis deals with creating a model in ANSYS RMxprt, Maxwell 2D, and Motor-Cad and comparing the results. In the fourth part, the machine was optimized for the highest possible torque density at the highest efficiency and simplified thermal model was built including oil cooling. The fifth part deals with simulations of fault conditions: open circuit and single-phase short circuit. In the sixth part, a motor with interior permanent magnets was designed and simulated under the same fault conditions.

Measurement and simulation of synchronous reluctance machines
Gábriš, Richard ; Bárta, Jan (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This semester thesis describes the principle of operation and a usage of synchronous reluctance motors. The core of the thesis is devided into two parts. The first one is a description of a measurement of motor samples and evaluation of the measurement. Subject matter of the second one is designing of motor models in application ANSYS Maxwell, analysis of the results and their comparison with the results obtained by the measurement.
Design of permanent magnet synchronous motors
Bureš, Petr ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
Given today’s trend with environment being very important, there has been an ongoing attempt in the rotating machine industry to create machines with highest efficiency possible. And so, permanent magnet synchronous machines represent types of machine with very high efficiency and are gradually replacing other machines in many applications. This work deals with familiarization of the properties of permanent magnet synchronous motor as well as typical design choices. The main focus of this work is the design of permanent magnet EC motor and following comparison of results obtained from analytical design and analysis in the RMxprt program. Finally, the results of design methods are compared.
Single-Phase Induction Motor Calculation
Schlesinger, Petr ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This master’s thesis’s target is to introduce the basic findings about single-phase asynchronous motors, their derivation from three-phase motors and the basics of a computation process and a concept of a single-phase asynchronous squirrel cage motor. The inbeing of this concept and the computation is created by classical processes for three-phase motors with a low voltage, 50 Hz.
FEMM program - preparation of education materials
Pešek, Michal ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
The manual is supposed to introduce to users the program FEMM. It is designed for solving low freqency electromagnetics problems. It shoul allow students, who are not experienced with work in english interface programs, make a model and set parametres needed for successful solution of required problem. There is description of setting and location of important program elements. Users have to quickly understand, how to work in program. FEMM work indeed in two dimensional mode and it is simplier, than expensive 3D programs, on the other hand, he is free for commercial and noncommercial use. It makes this program very interesting for home using by students. Licence restricton is related with program code itself and selling only.
Analysis of concentrated windings of PMSM
Menoušek, Lukáš ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design, principles of permanent magnet synchronous machines and an analysis of their properties. As part of the work is done familiarization with the materials of permanent magnets and their arrangement, as well as construction of the engine where they are discussed types of winding machine configuration, types of motors with permanent magnets and the list of implemented solutions. In the next section of this paper is an analysis of the properties of selected types of concentrated winding with a focus on the emergence of harmonics. These data are compared with the model of the engine in the FEMM. Furthermore, a comparison of the calculations of these types of engines and their simulation in RMxprt.
Heat simulation of electric machine
Klaner, Pavel ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is dealing with finite element method and using it in thermal simulations by Ansys Workbench.
Dynamic simulation of DC motor using FEM
Gottwald, Michal ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
My diploma thesis deals with a specific dynamic model of DC motor with the parameters obtained from the calculation and from the program using the finite element method. It shows how much accurate results can be achieved in the model, if you use only the values which can be measured, recorded and calculated on the engine. This thesis contens three parts. First part describes the structure and function of DC motor and the basic principle and the use of FEM. Next is calculation analytical and numerical parameters. The search parameters include torque, resistance and inductance of armature winding, resistance and inductance of excitation windings. The last part is dedicated to creating a dynamic model. Results from the dynamic model and measured values are compared in the conclusion of my thesis.
