Chopin sonata B minor analysis and its contextualization in Chopin´s work

This bachelor thesis deals mainly with the musical analysis of Chopin's third sonata b minor op. 58. The first chapter is titled "Characteristics of Chopin's work and the influence of contemporaries" and is divided into two subchapters. At the beginning of the entire section is described Chopin's life. In the first subchapter the bachelor thesis deals with enumeration of Chopin's works both for solo piano and for two pianos and orchestra. The second subchapter focuses on the general features of Chopin's work, the atributes of his personality or the circumstances surrounding the composition of some of his works. The second chapter represents the analysis of the sonatas in b minor op. 58, where each movement has its own subchapter. Finally, there is a subchapter deals with the context of this sonata in Chopin's overall work.
Development of spanish piano music in the 19th and early 20th century

The aim of this work is to describe the development of Spanish piano music during the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Individual chapters are devoted to specific authors, who are exponents of this period, and to explain in detail their style and their most important works, within the contemporary political and social context, both in Spain and in Europe. The first chapter also deals with more historical development of Spain and describes a social movement operating across the continent. At the end, I summarize the most important conclusions.
PERSONALITIES OF THE PIANO DEPARTMENT AT THE ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS IN PRAGUE SINCE THE FOUNDING OF THE SCHOOL UNTIL TODAY

This diploma thesis deals with personalities of the Keybord Department at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the second half of the 20th century. This work focuses on making united and systematic summary of professors at the Academy in the first decades of working at the Piano Department. Author of this paper is trying to have a complex attitude to these personalities. They were not only great teachers but also active interpreters, composers, authors of didactic works and they made revisions of the piano compositions. All the articles are in chronological order that depends on the beginning of teacher´s academic working. Chapters are also divided into three basic parts that connect people of the same generation. Part that deals with the brief history of the Academy should help readers to get the wider context. This chapter includes historical and political information that are more than important for the total meaning of the thesis. Some of these happenings had an important influence on all the spheres of life. The purpose of the thesis is to show the situation in the community of pianists in Prague after the Second World War in a well-arranged way. The work is supposed to be an integrated overview for an informed reader and should give information about lives, performances and legacy of the greatest pianists of the Academy of Performing Arts in the post-war period.
Sergei Prokofiev (piano Compositions)

The base of this work is analysis of Prokofiev´s piano compositions. It isn´t a scientific work. It´s rather analysis of form, melody and harmony in context with his others piano works. At chapter about surroundings dislocation generation of piano concertos I am based on the author´s testation a with him I try to find his ideas right in this work. Also I introduce the poem wich is inspired by the conceptus of this work, was written by poet Balmont. At the last chapter I tout about a view on Prokofiev like friend pianist, colleague, composer by the eyes his contemporaries both his students and teachers, colleagues, pianist, friends but aswell his enemy. TZhe greatest personalities like Neuhaus, Rostropovich, Oistrach remember him. Life´s facts I touch very too little with regard to quantity indeed more far specialist literature.
Fryderyk Chopin's piano sonatas

The author in his work focuses on the piano sonatas of Polish music composer Fryderyk Chopin. Work contains a characteristic of composer's personality, his biography and mainly a chapter about Chopin's piano sonatas, which is divided to some sub chapters. The author mostly focuses on the interpretative problems of these compositions, where he derives benefit from his own experience. Relatively large is also the sub chapter "Form analysis". The main author's objective is to help beginning interpreters of Chopin's sonatas in study of these compositions. But this work might be interesting for all musicians who are interested in Chopin's piano sonatas.
Petrof Company - the czech contribution to the evolution of the piano

This bachelor thesis deals with Petrof company, major piano manufacturer in Europe. The main part of this work documents historical evolution and current state of this company. In the Brief history and evolution of the piano chapter this musical instrument is the focus of attention. This part provides an overview of development of piano from its beginning up to the present. The goal of this paper work is to treatise of the Petrof company and Petrof instruments in the context of general development of the piano. The writer makes it clear that the czech contribution to the form and diffusion of the piano.
Music education in Japan

After 1868 Japan adopted a modern European system of all parties in the field of education. Western music is part of the school system and thus began to spread. the Japanese education system places strong emphasis on general education, while specialstudy is little developed. Today in Japan you can receive professional education in school education from the age of 16. Now there are many music schools and many students also specializes in Western music. However, practical lessons and lectures are not focused on the education of "professional" musicians, and the level of music education in Japan is very different. We can say that the Japanese music school to stall completely. In recent years, efforts to reform education, reform the curriculum and not just subjects but also the prevalance of musical genres. The various music schools have different procedures in an effort to attractstudents.

It shows their successes, major concerts, compositions they have written and their strong feelings for music. You can also find here the benefits they have brought to classical music and all their activities which helped the industry.

FRANCIS POULENC - CHAMBER COMPOSITIONS WITH PIANO

Francis Poulenc is french composer of 20. century, one of Le Groupe des Six, but not too known. I would like to introduce him more in this Master´s thesis. I would also like to appreciate Poulenc ´s chamber compositions with piano, which is the closest instrument to me. Each composition, it ´s analysis and history has it ´s own capture. Special capture belongs to his curriculum vitae and also to his complete works. I believe it´s necessary to understand the part of chamber compositions with piano among all Poulenc ´s works. I hope, that this thesis can help to explore this excellent and amusing author.
