Thermal analysis of induction machine using thermal network method.
Jiroušek, Petr ; Klíma, Petr (referee) ; Světlík, Martin (advisor)
This paper deals with the thermal analysis of an induction motor. In the first part the principle of its function and possible design are discussed. The second part discusses the mechanisms of heat transfer methods, which are conduction, convection and radiation. Next chapter is devoted to the description of the thermal network method and contains the designed network for a specific induction motor. The fourth chapter includes the thermal resistance equations and their description together with a simplification of the machine geometry. The fifth key chapter defines the input parameters of the calculation and mainly the calculated temperatures of the nodes of the thermal network.
Comparison of Additional Losses Calculation Methods in Transformer Multilayer Winding
Dohnal, Stanislav ; Světlík, Martin (referee) ; Mrajca, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of magnetic field dissipation and multilayer windings in distribution transformers. The thesis also focuses on the analysis of additional losses, for which it is necessary to mathematically describe the relationship between the dissipative magnetic field and the induced eddy currents. The output of the work is a comparison of methods for calculating additional losses in multilayer windings of transformers with different rated powers, which is done using the finite element method in 2D, the semi-analytical method in 2D and 3D and the analytical method.
Optimization of high-speed induction machine
Cajzl, Jakub ; Světlík, Martin (referee) ; Klíma, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the multi-objective optimization of a high-speed asynchronous machine. The introduction is devoted to materials and losses in high speed asynchronous machines and comparison of basic rotor topologies. The next part of this thesis summarizes the basic information related to the optimization principles and the basic classification of optimization algorithms. Then the specific algorithms used in optimization problems are described in more detail. The main part of this thesis deals with proposals for increasing the efficiency of the original 2,5 kW high-speed asynchronous machine, which are verified by electromagnetic calculations. Furthermore, the optimization itself is already performed using the NSGA-II genetic algorithm created in Python. The optimization results are evaluated and the selected optimized models are compared with the initial and modified machine models. The efficiency of the 2,5 kW machine has been successfully increased mainly due to the radially slitted rotor with copper end-rings and the use of stator plates with lower core losses. By optimizing the machine geometry, the power factor was increased and winding and friction losses were reduced.
Measurement of the asynchronous motor
Svetlík, Martin ; Ondrák, Tomáš (referee) ; Běloušek, Josef (advisor)
The work deals with the methods of measurement of various types and characteristics of induction engines is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter introduces us to the history superficially induction engines and the direction of work. The second chapter is devoted to different types of tests on this induction engines. The third chapter lists the results of measurements on two engines also known as type AOM090L02-016 (which is equipped with single layer winding) and type AOM090L02-017 (which is equipped with a double layer winding). In the end this work describing measurement of torque characteristics from run-up characteristic by using PC and freewheel.
Thermal model of high-speed induction motor
Světlík, Martin ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with thermal calculation of high-speed machines. Distribution of electrical rotating machine losses and calculation of mechanical losses in the air gap and on the ends of rotor is described in first part. Based on relationships taking into account rotor friction of the against the surroinding fluid are these calculations make. Literary search on theme of thermal calculation and principle of calculation thermal network method is descript here in the next part. Thermal network designed for specific machine and tabular of resulting temperatures are located in the last part.
Dynamic model of synchronous machine with magnetic equivalent circuit
Svetlík, Martin ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
The thesis focuses on constructing dynamic model - synchronous generator with using magnetic equivalent circuit diagrams. The model construction is based on knowledge of geometric parameters, magnetic characteristic of used material and fyzical deployment of vindings placed in stator slots. Computed reults are compared with results optained from model created with finite element method.
