Martial Arts of Far East

The core sujbect of thís thesis deals with a theme of Far East martial arts. The thesis is historically oriented and aims to describe the origin, historical development of martial arts and sports in China, Japan, Okinawa and the Korean peninsula. The structure of the thesis consists of the following theoretical themes: general characteristics, definition, terminology, categorization of martial arts, characteristics and development of traditional schools and styles, the influence of religion, description of changes in the context of historical development. The influence of martial arts phenomenon in contemporary society. Particular attention is paid to the development of martial arts, the influence on the formation of individual personalities, as well as cultural aspects in the spirit of traditional arts and changes in the light of globalization.

Pope John Paul II who led the Roman Catholic Church in the period of 1978-2005 is seen as one of the most influential top officials of this religious institution. His activity in the area of media communication was very conspicuous and has been considered to be revolutionary in many respects until today. Among other things, John Paul II directly encouraged the faithful to actively join the process of media communication, broadening media awareness, the rise of Church media channels as well as their active cooperation with public service or commercial media. Personally, he was very popular among the journalists. The contemporary religious broadcasting of the Czech Radio - 20 years after end of communism era

The bachelor thesis, "The contemporary religious broadcasting of the Czech radio : 20 years after end of communism era", deals with the operation of the Editorial Staff of Religious Broadcasting. The said editorial staff has been preparing programmes with religious themes in the Czech Radio for 20 years running. Since its formation in 1990, the religious broadcasting has gone through a long development in the domain of public broadcasting. Despite the social trends in the Czech Republic associated with a generally falling interest in religious matters, religious broadcasting maintains firmly its footing in the Czech Radio, enjoying a positive response from the audience. In 2009 alone, the Editorial Staff of Religious Broadcasting has prepared 391 hours of programme with religious themes and plans further expansion of its production. The religious editorial staff also operates its own website where it offers social-religious themed information as well as an archive of its programmes.
