Laufková, Petra ; Čermák, Petr (advisor) ; Svobodová, Iva (referee) ; Svobodová, Petra (referee)
Univerzita Karlova Filozofická fakulta Ústav románských studií Románské jazyky Abstrakt disertační práce Mgr. et Mgr. Petra Laufková KAUZATIVITA V SOUČASNÉ PORTUGALŠTINĚ Causativity in Contemporary Portuguese Vedoucí práce: prof. PhDr. Petr Čermák, PhD. 2023 Abstract Causation is one of the basic aspects of the way we conceive coherence in the world we live in. Ways of expressing causativity in languages has therefore been at the center of scientific attention for many years. Causative structures involve two events: a causing event expressing that an entity, the causer, acts on another entity, the causee, and causes its change or activity coded as a second event. On the one hand, our work is a structured compilation of theories and data provided by other scientists, bringing to light different causative mechanisms, their formal description, data related to their distribution and mainly their semantic explanation, based on cognitive linguistics. On the other hand, we carry out research to support theoretical assertions with quantified data and find new results. Contemporary Portuguese has a wide range of morphological, lexical and syntactic causative tools. This thesis describes all of them. Nevertheless, we are mainly interested in what distinguishes Portuguese from other languages we know: the fact that...

In my thesis I am considering changing the coordinate system of vector cadastral map CM-D in system stable cadastre on vector cadastral map CMD in the Datum of Uniform Trigononometric Cadastral Network. In the first part deals with the digitization file of geodetic information. Describes the formation of CM-D maps, problems with the management and maintenance, and the reasons for revision. The second part is devoted to the various activities of map production in cadastre unit Sokolí. I mention a list of map base, calculation of detailed survey points in the program Groma and production of vector map in software MicroGEOS Nautil, including final checks. The result change of the coordinate system is a vector map in S-JTSK headed in information system of cadastre of real estates and connected with a file of descriptive information.

Detection of undeclared fruit species in foodstuffs using methods of molecular biology and instrumental methods
Svobodová, Petra ; Wikarská, Monika (referee) ; Fialová, Lenka (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the detection of apple component in fruit-based baby food. The theoretical part deals with the fruit itself – the apple; food adulteration as a reason for the control of food composition and methods, both instrumental and those of molecular biology, by which food adulteration can be detected. In the experimental part, commercial products containing apple puree were purchased and model mixtures were prepared as replicas of the purchased products. DNA was isolated from these samples, its amplifiability was verified, and the presence of the apple component was detected after the selection of suitable species-specific primers. Methanol extracts for HPLC were prepared from the above-mentioned samples using a procedure previously used for the extraction of phenolic substances from apple pulp [1]. Using this analysis, apple in fruit purees was to be identified using phloridzin as a marker for the presence of the apple component. The result was a successful detection of the apple component in both commercial products and model mixtures using qPCR. However, the tested method of phenolic substance extraction proved to be unsuitable for use in the analysis of fruit purees, as phloridzin was not detected either in the apple puree extract or in the model mixtures to which this puree was added.

Lexical Characteristics of the Portuguese Language Spoken in Madeira
Kohoutová, Kamila ; Svobodová, Petra (advisor) ; Válová, Karolina (referee)
The aim of the present thesis is to describe lexical characteristics of Portuguese spoken in the island of Madeira and to study proliferation of lexical regionalisms among its users whose speech is not as likely to carry dialectal traits. We first introduce the Madeiran dialects in the context of the European Portuguese variant and observe their evolution not only from the perspective of Portugal's past and present, but also the history of Portuguese linguistics. Chapter 2 focuses on describing commonly recognized characteristic traits of the Madeiran dialects on all planes of language - phonetic, morphosyntactic, and lexical. The lexical aspect comes into focus in the final part of the thesis where we present our own research regarding knowledge and use of regionalisms among Portuguese speakers in Madeira who have concluded secondary or college education. Their speech is typically perceived to be less likely to exhibit traits of dialects in comparison to their less educated counterparts. As societies develop and change however, they may play an essential role in preserving the dialects so typical for Madeira. Our research was therefore designed to find out how alive regionalisms are among these speakers.
