The nutrition habits and knowledge of middle- and long-distance runners

Title: The Nutrition Habits and Knowledge of middle and long distance runners Targets: The thesis main target is to determine dietary habits of endurance men and women runners, their interest in health nutrition and their nutrition information sources. Another aim to achieve is to find out their basic knowledge of body composition and human nutrition. Methods: The thesis was worked out on the base of questionnaires , that were prepared with regard to the author personal experience and knowledge. The questionnaires were handed in personaly to the respondents at runners competition, as soon as the race was finished and most of the runners used to wait for their results. The respondents were kept in anonymity in order to ensure as much objective answers as possible. The meaning of questionnaire completion was explained by the author to each of the responding runners. The validity of the questionnaire was consequently confirmed by the mean of guided interview between the author and the runner responded. Results: Endurance runners are keen on following the health nutrition principles. The dietary habits of the major part of the respondants correspond to requirements related to the field of energy-intensive sport. Title: Nutrition and activ regimen of children in older school age. Objectives: To describe the principles of proper diet and activ regimen . To determine the current status of the diet and movement of children in older school age. Methods: In my thesis I used experimental method and it is associated with the collection and evaluation of data. The practical part was conceived in the form of enquiry. Results: The frequency of meals taken per day by sporty children are not much different from the frequency of meals of children who don't do any sports but the difference is in the composition of the food they eat. Sporty kids take more vitamins per day and drink more fluids. Daily exercise regimen follow all the interviewed children. Energy content of the food children of this age eat is greater than they consume. They eat a lot of fatty food and they suffer from lack of protein. . Key words: Balance of nutrition, drinks regimen, optimal body weight, activ regimen, physical preparation.
Comparison of body composition and lifestyle tennis players and student of secondary school

Title: Comparison of body composition and lifestyle tennis players and student of secondary school. Objectives: The main objective of this work is to investigate the link between body composition and the amount and form of physical activity, diet and leisure time in adolescent girls. Further characterization of selected indicators of body composition in female players, who regularly undergo intense training load with girls without regular physical activity. Then evaluate their overall lifestyle. Methods: To obtain data for the assessment of body composition was used bioimpedance analysis, we used monofrequency device BODYSTAT 1500 MDD with the regression equation for the monitored age group. The amount of physical activity, diet and leisure time was obtained by written inquiries using a modified questionnaire 6th CAV 2001 for children and youth added with 4 custom questions related to lifestyle. Results: The result of this work is the finding that regular physical training in the amount of at least 10 hours per week leads to a reduction in body fat and at the same time to increase the amount of lean mass.
