Dining Out - The Anthropological Insight onto the Czech Gastronomy

The case study of one of the Prague restaurants was focused on verification and description of existence of two phenomena allied to food. Both of those phenomena are in link with gender and among both of them strong parallels are identifiable. First of those two phenomena is the difference of the food preference and consumption between both men and women who are either dining in such restaurant, or in general. The second one is again the difference between men and women, but this time in terms of average number of both sexes present among the employees of the restaurant. Both phenomena were able to verify and partially were described the causes and reasons, what are those rising for and under what circumstances are maintained. Nevertheless, there is a need to mention the fact that both phenomena are subjected to change as well as the whole society, therefore is necessary to food as a social phenomenon itself pay constant attention. The reason is basic and clear - food is very important part of our everyday life.

Bussiness plan

The aim of the dissertation is a business plan concept and verification of its feasibility and competitiveness. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part I focus on basic business terms and the actual business plan - why and how the thesis is conceived how it should look like and what should not be missed. In the practical part I describe how to set the concrete business plan for opening an internet shop with coffee and tea product range. I will try to realize the project based on my business plan and compare it to reality. The goal of my dissertation work is the business plan realization and then a verification of its feasibility and its viability in real life.

Public transport in Prague

This bachelor thesis is oriented on the problem of public transport in our capital city as you understand from the title "Public transport in Prague". The word is divided in theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part it is shown widely Prague's transport, it is described here the history, present time and possibilities in the future. It is mainly oriented on underground, trams and buses. Further it is described the ticket system, tariff zones and function of pick up company of the cars who are parked wrongly. The practical part is made of results on a research questionnaire that I made among students in the university. The questions in the survey are related to how much the public transport is used, the comfort of transport, the way of paying and security from the point of view of the students in the university. I analyzed the results of the questionnaire and I tried to give possible solutions to the problematic parts.

The double intentions, documentary and literary, of short stories Carmen and Colomba by Prosper Merimée

The aim of this diploma theses is the comparaison of the literary and the documentary conception of the novella Colomba by Prosper Mérimée, a French writer. In the introduction of this work there is presented a life and the work of this writer. The topic of Corsica in the literary work of other French writers forms another part of the diploma theses. The basic work, which is closely connected with Colomba, Notes d´un voyage en Corse, is shortly presented just before the analysis of the novella. The analysis of Colomba is devided into four parts. The attention is concentrated on the environment, on inhabitants of Corsica who were born there or who only live there and on the artistic conception of this novella. In each of these parts the stress is concentrated on the penetration of real facts and a fictional story. At the end of the theses there are presented and compared some Czech translations of Colomba.

Diplomová práce analyzuje možnosti využití internetu v marketingu se zaměřením na webové stránky a jejich roli v rámci marketingové strategie; elektronickou poštu a její dominantní postavení v rámci komunikace, extranet a jeho využití v rámci komunikace se zákazníky a intranet pro interní komunikaci. Část práce je také věnována reklamě na internetu. Konkrétně je práce věnována využití těchto nástrojů ve společnosti SGS.
