Digital image analysis of mitotic chromosomes
Jaroš, Luboš ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Škutková, Helena (advisor)
The development in modern medicine has allowed to study human genome and detect predispositions to several diseases. One of very promising techniques is the analysis of human karyotype, i.e., the number and appearance of chromosomes in the cell nucleus. The most important step in the karyotype analysis is the chromosome detection and categorization. In this work, a new algorithm for detection of chromosomes from an image of microscopic DNA sample and their categorization into seven groups was developed. The algorithm was implemented in Matlab. The accuracy of segmentation and classification was tested on a set of images from two databases with 117 and 38 images, respectively. The sensitivity of the developed segmentation reached 88% while the value of positive predictivity of segmentation reached 92%. The success rate of chromosome pairing achieves 77%.
Economy of FC Vysočina Jihlava, a.s.
Jaroš, Luboš ; Lízalová,, Lenka (referee) ; Heralecký, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis analyses the current economic position of the football club FC Vysočina Jihlava, a.s. (joint-stock company), including the analysis of motives and conditions for the sponsorship of the club. The primary task of this thesis was to create a theoretical description of the points at issue of marketing (or marketing mix) and financial analysis and consequentially their practical use for the appraisal of general economic position of the football club FC Vysočina Jihlava, a.s. in the period 2005-2007.
Business Plan - Dog Trainning
Zeman, Pavel ; Jaroš, Luboš (referee) ; Šimberová, Iveta (advisor)
The master´s thesis deals with processing of business plan for dog training. Based on the analysis of competition, internal and external surroundings provides necessary requisites of the business selected. The aim of this thesis is according to marketing and business financial plan assess whether the business plan is realistic and applicable in practice or not.
Taxation of Foreigners
Zeman, Pavel ; Jaroš, Luboš (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with taxation of foreigners - residents and non-residents - in the Czech republic. It explains the differences between cooperation with the States of the European Union, contracting and non-contracting States. The main aim is definition of basic differences and finding the ways to optimize the tax liability of foreigners. Attention is also moving in specific cases that are resolved by the agreements for the avoidance of double taxation between the Czech Republic and Slovakia or the Czech Republic and France.
Preprocessing of 1D gel electrophoresis image
Jaroš, Luboš ; Škutková, Helena (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
Gel electrophoresis is an important method used for separation and analysis of macromolecules with electric potential. This well-established method has a big potential in medicine and science, however, the output images often suffer from distortion. This work describes several known sources of distortion and elaborates on existing methods of the track detection in gel electrophoresis. The core of this thesis introduces a new method to detect individual tracks and image pre-processing based on the standard deviation calculated on the horizontal segmentation of the image. The proposed algorithm is implemented and tested in Matlab. The success rate of the proposed method reaches 96,7 % on 35 test images of gel electrophoresis. The next phase is the band detection in the vertical profile and the binary image drawing. Although the band detection is not fully automated, a detection success rate achieves up to 86,4 % when proper setting is used.
Digital Image Preprocessing Of Mitotic Chromosomes
Jaroš, Luboš
The goal of this work is to develop a novel algorithm for chromosome detection to make the following analysis of human genome easier. The algorithm uses a multiphase detection based on the Otsu and active contour methods. The accuracy validation is tested on samples from the online BioImlab databases.
