Evaluation of speech skills in lexical semantics in children with developmental dysphasia

The thesis is divided in two main parties - the theoretical and the practical part. In the theoretical part I resumed the knowledge about the words, the vocabulary and about the saving of the vocabulary in the brain. I outlined the physiologic and pathologic evolution of the vocabulary and the diagnostics of this linguistic field. In the practical part I focused on the evaluation in the field of lexical - semantic of children with the evolutional dysphasia. For this purpose I draw up two groups of children. For each group I draw up the test which, for the first group, is composed of four sub-tests, for second is composed of seven sub-tests. Some sub-tests are based on the description of the pictures, others sub-tests are not based on pictures. The aim of this thesis is to find how evaluates the lexical-semantic level of language of children with evolutional dysphasia which were tested twice. The interval between two tests was 12-15 months for the first group and 9 months for the second group.
Stimulation of the primary functions, speech and communication abilities in a child with a Rett's syndrome

This rigorous thesis presents Rett syndrome, serious neurodevelopmental disease, which is manifested by psychomotor development disorder. It is the only autistic spectrum disorder, where the etiology is known. Further it gives the historical view of Rett syndrome problems, it records precisely the disorder process and basal and specific manifestations in children with Rett syndrome. It offers possibilities of interventions in the area of communication deficiencies. The pivotal part of the rigorous thesis is specialist diagnostics and three-year speech intervention for the child with Rett syndrome. The analysis of the selected areas in the therapeutic plan, data sorting and subsequent interpretation is made. The thesis mentions the role of the special pedagogical centre and the work of the form master in the nursery school, the cooperation between the speech therapist and the form master and the cooperation between the speech therapist and parents of the child.
Breathing exercises in speech therapy practice with a focus on open and closed mumbling

The theme of my elaboration dissertation are breathing exercises in the logopaedical practice, with the concentration on rhinolalia aperta and rhinolalia clausa. In the theoretical part, the anatomy and embryology of the respiratory tract, as well as the physiology and pathology of respiration are defined. The influence of breathing on the body posture, definition of rhinolalia aperta and palatolalia follow. In conclusion, breathing at rhinolalia aperta. Further the elaboration dissertation describes rhinolalia clausa and the most common cause vegetationes adenoideae. In the next part is discussed the problematic of adenotomia. The last part of the theoretical part is dedicated to breathing exercises according to their function. The practical part is focused on the application of the breathing exercises on three tested children placed in a special nursery and ten children with rhinolalia clausa, who undergone breathing exercises within the therapy in logopaedical workplace. The practical part also contents a questionnaire about the parents' knowledge what to do after adenotomia, results evaluation and forming of a educative leaflet, which could explain to parents adenotomia and following treatment. Evaluation of vocabulary knowledge in preschool children

Diplomová práce je složena ze dvou hlavních částí, části teoretické a části praktické. Část teoretická shrnuje poznatky o slově, slovní zásobě, jejím osvojování v předškolním věku, nastíněna je patologie slovní zásoby. Praktická část hodnotí úroveň slovní zásoby předškolních dětí před nástupem do první třídy základní školy. Nástrojem k tomu je sestavený test skládající se z deseti subtestů, založený pouze na slovní instrukci. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit slovní zásobu dětí předškolního věku po stránce kvantitativní i kvalitativní.

In my diploma thesis, I compare ontogenesis development in Hebrew and Czech language from birth until six years of age. I analyse relevant literal sources and I consult v^Titten sources from the field of psychology, cross linguistics and speech and hearing therapy.
Senior citizen problematics from the perspektive of domiciliary services

Subject of diploma thesis is administration minder services for seniors. Aim of coming services is, among others, provide for seniors full-value life in their native environment. On the basis of peruse literature I present terms like age, senescence and communication. I point out communication specialities and techniques for choice groups of seniors. In practical parts I go out of own working experience in administration field minder services for seniors. In my diploma thesis I concentrate for the period between 2006 - 2008, when the legislation of administration minder services was changed.

Diploma thesis "Symptoms of stuttering in dynamic" view consider the problematic balbuties from many aspects. This is focused on the one of the most severe and obvious kinds of disturbance in communication skills. The research project of the diploma thesis deals with analysis of lives of Czech and Arabic/Israeli children with balbuties. Apart from the complex analysis I enclose more detailed information about symptoms, ways and possible diagnosis; within the context of practical part I describe methods and techniques which I was using and various therapy possibilities.

Theoretical part of my diploma thesis is oriented on description and comparison of four genetically caused syndroms Down Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Turner Syndrome, Noonan syndrome. In practical part of my thesis I attend to discover level of knowledge of this issue among students, workers and specialists from sphere of assisting professions using questionnaires. I try to familiarize two of above-mentioned syndroms (Prader-Willi Syndrome and Noonan Syndrome) through casuistical methods and interviews with parents.
Use of Video Home Training in Families with Children Showing Specific Language Impairment

The thesis deals with social interaction of parents with children suffering from specific language imairment. It analyses communication skills of the parents and their influence on the speech development of the child. Further it concentrates more deeply on the difficulties that specific language impairment brings along to the social interaction between parents and their children. It comes to think of the possibility of cooperation of the speech and language therapist with families of children suffering from this language impairmant. It offers a method video home training as a possible solution for the development of communicaion skills of the parents interacting with their children. Video home training is presented in more details and is used in two families with children suffering from the specific language impairment. There are described description and results of such an intervention in the practical part of this thesis. The characteristics of communication needs of families with chidren suffering from the specific language impairment are also included.The possibilities of the video home training from the point of view of the speech therapeutic intervention are offered in the last part of the thesis.
Speech theraphy of deaf children

My thesis deals with speech therapy of deaf children at the elementary school. The thesis compares the results of questionaires and observations of speech therapy in the basic schools for deaf children. The aim of my thesis is to map the current state of speech therapy in these schools, and possibly to point out available solutions to current drawbacks.
