Mid-level manager's information need

This work should define an information need of a mid-level manager in a small company. An important aspect and the assumption is, that information need relies not only on existing information resources in the company, but also on not yet directly defined topics, such as people management, social behavior, and methods of soft systems methodology of problem solving and team working. So this work isn't only about the information need, but also about topics mentioned above.
Business Intelligence Implementation

The main aim of this thesis is the proposal and implementation of the support of decision making with the help of Business Intelligence tools in Audit CI, company limited providing economic and financial consultancy. Business Intelligence tools are applied at the creation of reports which company provides for its clients in terms of its services. On the basis of these reports subsequently suggests recommendations in the field of finance and intradepartmental management. The whole thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part are described fundamental principles of BI solution. Main components of which can be BI solution set up, its place in the architecture of the information system of company, finally fundamental base of the proposal of BI solution. The practical part includes the proposal and implementation of BI solution, from multidimensional analysis through the solution of the data pump, multidimensional cubes, to set up the output in the client application.
ICT integretion in mergers and acquisitions

This thesis describes subject of mergers and acquisitions with aim on information and communication technologies integration process. The first part contains general mergers and acquisitions classification and definition as well as its market development over time period extended with practical experiences. Second part is about ICT integration issues in M&A process including attitudes of various literature authors and experts. The goal of the thesis is to theoretically specify the subject of mergers and acquisitions including valuation. In addition my goal is to synthetize knowledge and best practices in the process of ICT integration as well as in the merger process itself. Main contribution is to synthetize experience from past contracts and research the role of ICT in integration process. Main reason for it was that despite information age we live in, technological aspect in M&A is often underestimated aside from crucial impact which it has on success of whole process.
Process analysis and proposal of their optimization in engineering company

This thesis is focused on comparison of function management and processing management, especially their advantages and benefits. Using of processing management is introduced on practical example. There is made process analysis on chosen processes in engineering company. Detailed description of these processes is the result. Next step is searching of shortcomings and mistakes in these processes and trying to find solutions of them. The result is evaluation of these solutions and their benefits for company. Then there is proposal of introduction of solutions into processes in the company
Microsoft licenses in commercial segment

Correct and financially optimal covering of licensed software is one of the aims of all companies. Microsoft Corporation offers a wide range of software products and also various types of license financing that significantly affect their financing. License models stating the correct rules of using the licenses for software groups are also very specific and require a thorough understanding of its principles. These two areas include a range of partial aspects that are to be considered from the point of view of company benefit. However, a complex view combining license programs and license models is equally important. Hence the issue of license management is problematic not only for the management of the company, but also for the IT specialists. This thesis embeds the issue of licensing into the frame of strategic IT planning and by means of annotated principles, descriptions of everyday situations and accentuating details significantly affecting licensing provides a perspective of the issue that has not been dealt with in such an elaborate way so far. The aim of this thesis is to provide a complex analysis of license programs and models, their principles and possibilities. In many companies, a detailed knowledge and understanding of the issue of Microsoft licensing is very important. Therefore, this thesis provides some specific output instances in the form of both financial and functional comparison of individual licensing programs. The crucial services of license programs and characteristics of license models are investigated in detail and subject to critical evaluation for purposes of utilization in companies of various sizes and types.
Comparing the staffing models of outsourcing in selected companies

This thesis deals with problems of takeover of employees in outsourcing. The capital purpose is to compare the staffing model of outsourcing in selected companies. To compare in selected companies I chose multi-criteria analysis. This thesis is dividend into six chapters. The first charter is devoted to the theoretical part. In this charter describes the basic concepts as outsourcing, personal aspects, phase of the outsourcing projects, communications and culture. The rest of thesis is devoted to the practical part. The second charter contains informatic and knowledge of the analyzed companies. The third charter is devoted to comparing of analyzed companies based on multi-criteria analysis. The fourth charter is evaluation the differences between the analyzed companies. The fifth charter is designed process of takeover employee in outsourcing. The sixth charter is devoted to the design process of outsourcing model.
Application of GIS in underground services

The aim of this work is to examine the GIS in terms of service provider of underground services. In this work there are mentioned all important aspects concerning problems of GIS, it's launching in underground service company and also related technical information. The work contains an AHP selection of appropriate GIS for requirements of mid or small company. The closing part focuses on recommendations, which should the company accept for optimization of its running.
Customer oriented organizational structure

The topic of this diploma thesis "Customer oriented organizational structure" deals with matrix organizational structure within multinational corporation. At the beginning the author first listed and characterized main theoretical terms. Afterward, the professional experiences were described using questionnaire and interview as survey methods. The author then analysed effectiveness of current matrix structures as well as of its transformations. The final part is proposing optimal scheme of matrix structure for corporations with appropriate guidelines.
Alternative way of ICT investment evaluating

This document introduces indicators' limitations and suitability which are nowadays used for evaluating ICT investments. For better understanding of indicators' application and their limits there was used a specific practical example. As a solution, the author suggests to use value management, specifically the universal theory of value for a customer. This theory was converted to be applicable for ICT and as such eliminates and minimizes problems and limitations of before listed indicator. To fulfill the theme, the author introduces benefits of ICT market and ICT investments from the macroeconomic point of view on behalf of Czech Republic.
Business processes reengineering in an integrated information system and the e-commerce application

Master thesis called "Business processes reengineering in an integrated information system and the e-commerce application" proves the hypothesis that the key to successful internet business is to have correctly set the process management of a company, which, through an automated connection, displayed externally for customers through the presentation layer of the e-commerce application. The results are useful for owners of eshops, for their conception of setting up the operations of their companies and especially for the company, where the analysis was performed. According to selected company Penny Ltd., this analysis sets for its eshop Elektro-partner.cz twenty elementary processes, whose implementation will lead to saving staff time, maximum use of the information system including the possibility of implementing new modules, setting up workflow processes and possibility to make a profit and higher customer satisfaction. In the theoretical part are marketing tools 4P for eshops enhanced by services and competitiors. There is also a specially adapted Porter's value chain for eshops and is used a model of e-commerce trust. On this basis it is created the current marketing strategy of eshop including the SWOT analysis and definition of strategic objectives. Identified processes were divided into elementary, key and support groups and relationships between them were made. For the optimization process is used Hammer and Champy methodology and feasibility and success of the thesis is evaluated according to best practises reengineering projects. Reengineered processes are defined with specification, exploited documents, information system and eshop application modules, illustrated by using EPC model and they are defined metrics and specifically listed areas of improvement.
