Current Trends in Unconventional Oil and Natural Gas Production with Focus on the U.S.

The thesis deals with the current trends and development of the unconventional oil and natural gas production. The main aim is to evaluate and analyze the global development of unconventional production and the influence of its growth in the last decade on the global economy and the given markets. In addition, not only the pros, but also the risks and limitations of unconventional production, are examined, e.g. economic and environmental issues. The final part focuses on the United States and the local shale boom. Based on the analysis of American unconventional production, the future of these sources is predicted. At the end of the thesis the effects of shale boom on the U.S. economy are explored as well, focusing mainly on the U.S. trade balance.
EU Structural funds and their application in the field of support in research and innovation in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis concentrates on the area of Structural funds of the European Union and their applications in the field of support in research and innovation in the Czech Republic. The main objective of this thesis is to provide the reader with a complex view of support in the field of research and innovation from the EU Structural funds in the programming period of 2007--2013 and also in the future period of 2014--2020. Partial objective is to evaluate the application of EU Structural funds on the basis of a specific operational programme supporting field of research and innovation. The research question is defined as the meaningfulness of settings of the operational programmes in the field of research and innovation and the evaluation of their effectiveness and sustainability. The first chapter introduces firstly the regional policy of European Union and its main instrument, the EU Structural funds and then concentrates shortly on the field of research and innovation in the Czech Republic. The second chapter focuses on the specific operational programmes which are supporting the field of research and innovation for both programming periods and furthermore evaluates the drawing of EU Structural funds in the Czech Republic. Lastly, the third chapter offers a practical application of the Structural funds of EU on the base of a specific operational programme, the Operational Programme Research and Development for innovation (OP R & DI). The main concentration is devoted to evaluating the sustainability of research and development centers supported by the OP R & DI.
Regional differentiation in Spain in the context of the use of EU funds

The thesis examines regional differentiation in Spain in the context of the use of EU funds. First part depicts general and economic characteristics of Spain including a description of the current economic situation and the situation on the labor market which both are essential for the given topic. This thesis also presents EU regional policy and focuses in more detail on its application in selected regions in Spain (Basque Country, Andalusia) since Spain´s entry into the EC until present. The last part examines regional differences in Spain and their development over time with the use of economic and other indicators. The analysis of a coefficient of variation (CV) is also used for a better evaluation of real convergence of Spanish regions.
Social market economy in Germany: current situation and future development

After 2 WW was a situation in Germany very difficult. Consequences of a defeat were legible in all spheres. Despite of this situation the German economy was able to recover and in the next two decades showed an economic growth. A significant share on this recovery had representatives of the concept of social market economy and representatives of ordoliberalism Ludwig Erhard, Walter Aucken or Alexander Rustow. In the first chapter I deal with the characteristics and main principles of social market economy. I define main historical milestones of this concept regarding the economic development. With another internal and external changes which inevitably affected German economy, a weaknesses of this system appeared. There were implemented structural reforms, which changed the original concept of social market economy. The second chapter is focused on these structural changes. The last and third chapter deals with current economic situation, which was influenced by the process of globalization and integration of EU. Then in this chapter I describe the current form of social market economy and pros and cons of this concept. The final part deals with future development and sustainability of social market economy.
The impact of UK withdrawal from the EU

The first chapter describes the relationship of Great Britain and the European Union. It deals with the circumstances of joining into the EEC, discusses the exceptions of the membership and finally presents a detailed approach of the UK representatives of the ruling political parties. The second chapter focuses on the deeper issues of leaving the EU, while examining the possibility of this legislative step. The third chapter deals with the position of the Great Britain within the EU as compared to other member states. The fourth chapter assesses the economic impact of Brexit on UK and EU countries.

This thesis analyzes the supply and value added chains beween Germany and the Czech Republic. Further, the effects of foreign direct investment on the respective economies are discussed. The thesis also investigates the impact of FDI on the automotive industry and the companies within. To illustrate the topic, the case study of the acquisition of Škoda by the Volkswagen Group is presented.

The main goal of this thesis is to determine the optimal insurance stocks with the Monte Carlo method and its impact on a particular enterprise. The subject of this work is to aim at inventory with a stochastic character and to minimize the costs connected with storage and satisfaction of customers. This work consists of an introduction and 5 chapters, including 10 pictures, 13 tables and 8 appendices. The first chapter deals with a present day situation of solving issues, explains the importance of inventories and introduces a particulas company. The theoretical part is analysed in the second chapter under the title "Literatury research". The aim of the bachelor thesis is characterised in the next chapter. Methodology, contained in the fourth chapter, clarifies methods and means which stimulate the achievement of goals. In the fifth chapter particular simulations are carried out. More possibilities of the level of insurance stocks are simulated here, e.g. the company does not create insurance stocks, creates insufficient or excessive and as a result also optimal insurance stocks. Randomly generated quantities will be used. Knowledge gained in previous chapters will be used in practical solving. In the conclusion the achieved goals and results will be summarised and contibution of the bachelor thesis will be evaluated.
German competitiveness on the market of the European Union

The work deals with the real economic strength of Germany in order to determine the German options on enforcing his proposals for solving the economic crisis. The first part discusses the strengths and weaknesses of German competitiveness and compares it internationally. The second part deals with the current state of the European economy and the solution to the European crisis.
The Migration of Highly Skilled Asian Workers

This thesis is focused on migration of highly skilled workforce. The aim of this work to show current migration flows of highly skilled workers and particularly flows of highly skilled Asian migrants. First chapter explains migration terms and examines highly skilled migration causes through migration theories. Second chapter studies international migration flows and their long-term development. Last chapter is focused on migration flows of highly skilled Asians to OECD countries and within Asia. For this purpose migration scheme was created on the basis of statistical data. The last chapter also examines brain circulation and economic impacts of high-skilled workers on asian economies.
The prospectives of the economic relations between Russia and EU

The development of the relationship between Russian Federation and European Union went through a difficult way from the rivalry to the cooperation. This bachelor thesis is following these transformations since the end of the Second World War till the present day. The main attention is paid to the strong points of their economics and the prospectives of their further cooperation.
