Secure converter for an RS-232 standard to the Internet
Pokorný, Michal ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
Master´s thesis tries to find a solution to make a secure transmission channel between virtual serial ports on the personal computer and the serial ports on the Rabbit RCM3700 development KIT. Today’s communications channels don't offer appropriate security of a whole communication. Therefore it depends on get-togethers, in order to realize this security themselves. This security means ensuring reliable transmission of data to be encrypted between parties so that any attacker is not able to read real-time, or eventually change them. As a result of this Master thesis is the design and implementation, which in addition to encryption algorithm provides sufficient security and authenticity of communication between the parties. As an encryption algorithm has been chosen widely used AES algorithm and as authentication algorithm has been chosen algorithm, which for authenticity requires knowledge of the secret key.
Power line disturbance model
Végh, Zoltán ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
Requirements for existing PLC systems are very high (services requiring data rates higher than 1 Mbit/s). To meet these requirements, you must have a model of with real PLC environment. This document provides an overview of basic properties of noise in PLC systems, focusing mainly on the colored background noise, narrowband interferers, and various types of impulive noise in the PLC. Furthermore, different models of interference created by different literatures and simulation models were created with any significant adverse environmental effects of the PLC.
Design of Advanced Simulation Model of DiffServ Technology in Opnet Modeler Environment
Machata, Tomáš ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis was to get acquainted with the problems of ensuring quality of service in IP networks. The greatest attention was devoted to DiffServ technology and methods for the identification and classification of network traffic at edge routers. Simulation model of DiffServ technology was created in OPNET Modeler environment. This model contains a number of edge and core routers, switches, servers and client stations on which it is generating a network traffic (VoIP, HTTP, FTP and databases). Individual applications were included in different classes at the edge routers of DiffServ domain and the different behavior of the applications was ensured with usage of an Assured Forwarding PHB. It was found by using simulations which method of classification packets is the best for the quality of service. Furthermore the model of DiffServ technology was extended about alternative route. OSPF routing protocol was configured here and has been studied the impact of failure of the main line and using of alternative routes to the quality of service.
Communication protocol for messenger
Bílý, Ondřej ; Rášo, Ondřej (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor‘s discuss on theme Communications protocol for messenger and his security. The introduction analysis the basic points of cryptographic security of data. Next two parts deals with the two most used architectures in the area of information network, which helps in understanding of sending data by this network. Penult deals with the creation of the communication channel in between the applications in the information network.. The final part includes description of three uncomplicated applications. This demonstrates the use of various cryptographic securities and various protocols for the sending of information between the users.
Simulation model of public light for Network Simulator 3
Kapoun, Vladislav ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the smart public lighting management possibilities. It describes smart public lighting management itself and the advantages of the new management possibilities compared to the current ones are illustrated as well. Furthermore, it deals with a comparison of the most used light resources and LED light resources. This thesis also outlines NS-3 simulation environment and states its advantages. Theoretical concept for energy-saving smart public lighting management system and its modifications for the needs of simulation is described in the paper. This theoretical concept is simulated and compared with the current smart public lighting management systems as well as with the systems designated by the third party.
Simulation model of waste collection for Network Simulator 3
Kolaja, Lukáš ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is create an application for route optimalization for waste collection which is one of the technologies of smart cities. At first was described issue of smart cities focused to waste collection. The thesis describes the real deployment of smart waste collection using sensor network and was also designed its own model of smart waste collection. It is also described graph theory and related genetic algorithms which is suitable for waste collection optimalization. On that basics an application was made in C/C++ language which using a genetic algorithm to compute best possible path in graph which represents a map where waste is collected. By input data to application is vector image of evaluated graph in SVG data format.
Modelling Power Line Communication using Network Simulator-3
Pánek, Jiří ; Endrle, Pavel (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
The semestral thesis deals with power line communication and its simulation in Network Simulator-3. The first part includes a general description of PLC, summarizes its division and the relevant standards. The next part describes graphical user interface, its options and several simulation topologies. The third part is a description of each simulated examples in NS-3 and proposal for their extension. It also includes analysis of the types of interference in PLC and partial extension.
Identification of Device Availability in Technological Networks
Vodehnal, Stanislav ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the monitoring of network elements of technological networks and distribution systems. There are described reasons why and what kind of values we want to monitor. Three monitoring systems are then selected, described their properties and functions. Based on their merits, one system for deploying the test environment is selected. The practical part is the configuration of the selected system and its subsequent deployment to the network.
Modem - repeater for narrow band technology of PLC
Bednář, Jan ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on PLC communications, particulary on PLC modem. For starters it is necessery to learn about basics of PLC, learn how is PLC transmited, advantages and disadvantages. In the next part i will focus on modem itself, choosing a suitable communication unit by given parameters, creating external circuits to adjust the signal for our purposes. At last i will design printed circuit, realize the modem and verify its funcionality.
Current possibilities of data communication via the power network
Jedlička, Tomáš ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on processing, summary information about PLC commnunication and analyzing present issue of data transfer via powerline grids. Teoretic and technical information about PLC communication, advantages, disadvantages, kinds of PLC communication depending on used frequency ranges and also about used modulation techniques are processed in the first part of the thesis. The second part of thesis is focused on analysis information about choice types of modems and companies, which are oriented on PLC technology. Measurements results of broadband PLC communication are evaluated in the third part of thesis with opportunity to extend and modification it. Laboratory measurement of narrowband PLC communication is processed and focused in this part on transmission speed and spectrum of signal. Results of measurement in company ModemTec are summarized in the end of thesis.
