Laser cooling of the trapped ions for frequency and time metrology
Číp, Ondřej ; Pham, Minh Tuan ; Čížek, Martin ; Lešundák, Adam ; Hucl, Václav ; Hrabina, Jan ; Řeřucha, Šimon ; Jedlička, Petr ; Lazar, Josef
In the laser cooled trapped ions field current research is oriented to yield isolated ions in their basic state of the motion. The detection of the Doppler cooled iont excitation to its quadrupole transition of the electronic structure gives the opportuniny to stabilize highly coherent lasers of the optical frequency of the hundreds of THz. This way a new standart of the time or optical frequencies called „Optical atomic clock“ can be defined. Institute of the Scientific Instruments in Brno in the cooperation with the Department of the Optics of the Palacky University in Olomouc implemented a unique research infrastructure for laser cooling of 40Ca+ ions and subsequent experiments of the quantum mechanics and spectroscopy in a joint laboratory in Brno. Currently 40Ca+ ions are routinely generated and captured. The Doppler cooling of those ions is performed using dipole transition at a wavelength of the 397 nm. Also detection and spectroscopy of the electronic structure of the ion and the presence of his dark resonances is implemented.\n
Optimizing the Income Taxation of a Limited Liability Company Member
Jedlička, Petr ; Urbánková, Růžena (referee) ; Polák, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on optimizing the income taxation of a limited liability company member. The thesis tries to find out which way of income taxation is more profitable for an LLC member. One option is taxation of the wage paid for the work in the company including health and social insurance. The other option is taxation of the share of the profit from the property share of the company.
Emergency responce planing in approved traning organization
Jedlička, Petr ; Švec, Michal (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This master‘s thesis is focused on the creation of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for an Approved Training Organisation (ATO). The first part of this thesis describes aviation organisations and other transport organisations that require Safety management system. The second part analyses requirements for documentation and regulations for applying Emergency Response Plan. In the third section there is an ERP general manual which helps ATO with the creation of the document. The last part contains the ERP created for a model ATO with the help of the general manual from the third chapter.
Adaptive optics for control of the laser welding process
Mrňa, Libor ; Šarbort, Martin ; Řeřucha, Šimon ; Jedlička, Petr
The laser head with fixed focus optics is commonly used for the deep penetration laser welding. In such case the geometry and position of the beam waist are defined by the focusing lens. If the laser beam incident on the focusing lens is not well collimated but divergent and its divergence can be varied by proper adaptive optical elements, then also the geometry and position of the focus will be changeable. In this way it is possible to affect the energy coupling from the laser beam to the keyhole walls and thus to control the geometry and quality of the weld. In this paper we present a theoretical and numerical study of the beam shaping by adaptive optics and its influence on the weld quality. For the CO2 laser welding machine the adaptive optics was realized by a deformable mirror and its effect was tested also experimentally. For the solid-state laser welding machine we designed a laser head with changeable distance between the optical fiber and the collimating lens and we simulated its performance.
Reference points distance measurement
Jedlička, Petr ; Čížek, Martin ; Staš, Lubomír ; Malík, Josef
The device is developed for measuring the deformation of natural and artificial underground spaces, especially active mines. The deformations are derived from LIDAR distance measurements of network of reference points. Each reference point consists of steel rod embedded into wall and stainless steel ball as reflector. The LIDAR is placed in a precision adjustable 2-axis mount and which can be fitted to any reference point. The system is portable, battery powered. Part of the system is software allowing reading and processing LIDAR measurement data. The measurement is usually started immediately after excavation, and then go on as long-term monitoring after the completion of the construction or mining activities.
SMV-2012-21: Research and implementation of test samples directional antenna array for the system BAARA
Jedlička, Petr
The aim of the research was to develop a new version of the antenna system, the directional characteristics optimized for a given application - determination direction of the received signal by calculation of the strength of signals from different antennas. The directional characteristics must be smooth and continuous. Part of the research was switching solution antennas and modifications computational algorithm.
SMV-2013-05: Research of methods for ultra-precise dimensional and angle deviations measurement
Lazar, Josef ; Šarbort, Martin ; Holá, Miroslava ; Hrabina, Jan ; Řeřucha, Jan ; Jedlička, Petr
The work was aimed to research of suitable optical non-contacting measurement methods for angle deviations investigation and controlling with special interest of ultra-high resolution and accurancy. The theoretical part of work included detailed analysis of all of potential methods, financial demands evaluation, reachable accurancy and resolution verification. The work also included mathematical modelling of optical beam positioning uncertainty and practical design of optical setup with optical beams profiles evaluation.
SMV-2013-04: System for measuring angles on ELI manipulator
Jedlička, Petr ; Lazar, Josef ; Řeřucha, Jan ; Šarbort, Martin
The system measures the angle of rotation of the mirror with a precision of a few tenths of micro radians. The measurement uses the change in position of the reflected laser beam, which is sensed by CCD chip.
Deflection Measurement by Position Detection of the Laser Beam
Šarbort, Martin ; Řeřucha, Šimon ; Jedlička, Petr ; Lazar, Josef
We present a high precision angular deflection measurement system based on a triangulation method which provides resolution below 1 microradian within a range of several degrees. It is based on a triangulation method and a numerical position detection of the laser beam spot on a CCD/CMOS sensor. The experimental results indicate that the assembled instrument achieves a measurement error of 0.12 microrad in the range ± 0.6 degrees over the period of one hour.
