TITLE: Web based applications for exercising and examination in language studies. SUMMARY: The aim of this bachelor thesis was to map accessible tools for language exercises and testing on the internet. Chosen applications were analysed and characterised on the basis of model tests evaluated in accordance to previously chosen criteria. File of educational materials to support the teaching of mathematics

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to suggest and create the collection of solved exercises from mathematic on a theme quadratic, absolute-value equations and equations involving square roots. It is intended for the students of the fifth grade of the eight-year grammar school and for the students of the first grade of the four-year grammar school or secondary school. Thanks to the solved exercises it is possible for students to get to know the methods for solving given types of quadratics more deeply.
Digital learning objects

SUMMARY: In the beginning the thesis deals with the digital learning objects in general, and then it focuses on the game type objects. Their advantages and disadvantages are briefly summarized. The main aim of the practical part is to create an own learning game focusing on "algorithms" and its testing in the classroom. At the conclusion of the work, the test results are evaluated in terms of subject matter contained and in terms of pupils' interest.
Modular authoring environment for creating digital learning objects

This Bachelor thesis deals with the problems of using digital learning objects (DLO) and affiliated applications in context with the use in practice by the teachers themselves. The thesis focuses on creating suitable DLO, which will suit both pedagogical demands and requirements of teachers from the demands of the competence views for ICT. The first part of the thesis deals with the theoretical assumptions, which are necessary to set the right targets and procedures to reach them. The second part deals with searching for the problematic points and proposals of the countermeasures, and their realizations.
Automatic corrections in MS Office Word and their impact on children's grammar

In its theoretical part this bachelor thesis focuses on introducing how spelling and grammar corrections in text processors work on basic level. Brief history of text processors as well as linguistic basics needed for comprehension of the discussed problems are mentioned. In its practical part the bachelor thesis focuses on a research. Its goal is to examine whether there is a connection between using grammar and spelling correction in Microsoft Office Word 2007 and the level of grammatical expression of the youth. Another goal is to examine the hand written text conducted in the research for distribution of errors recognized by Microsoft Office Word 2007 in relation to errors not recognized by this program. A questionnaire and a dictate, which is first written in hand and then later in same form using Microsoft Office Word 2007, are used to gather the data necessary for the research. The evaluation of the research reveals some interesting results, however the hypotheses of the research are not validated.
Analysis of graphics editors

TITLE: Analysis of graphics editors ABSTRACT: The aim of the diploma work is to compare and evaluate mainly free raster and vector editors and viewers (photo file managers) which could be used at the environment of primary and secondary schools. In the opening part of the work there are briefly mentioned real possibilities of using graphics applications at schools. Separate analyses of all programmes are described in following parts. The analyses deal with features of the programmes, hardware requirements and usability. The comparisons should offer enough general information for choosing the correct software. The important part of the work is the research and it's three questionnaire investigations. Their results demonstrate real usage of graphic software among informants from all of the Czech Republic. Support education evaluation through a database technology

The work addresses the applicability of information technologies to student evaluation. The use of database systems has the following advantages compared to currently used methods: efficiency of work with the evaluation, accessibility of the data over the Internet, and easy manipulation with respect to further processing of the data. The outcome of this work is a model application covering many available methods of evaluation and allowing for further processing of the evaluation. The used methods follow current legal requirements and are based on a number of broadly accepted pedagogical publications. Preliminary tests in the real environment show the suitability of the approach for this task.
Collection of the solved exercises for MS Word in context of elementary access to user's informative literacy

The final thesis is dealing with the topic called The Compilation of the Solved Exercises for MS Word in the Context of Elementary Approach to the User's Informational Awareness. It has the aim to create effective methodic tool in the field of teaching text editors. The thesis are divided into five parts. The contemporary society and its relationship to using ICT emphatically to the electronic communication is described in the introductory part. The next part deals with the personal opinion to the present - day teaching quality in the context of theoretical approaches and express the suitable and optimalized component for the support of teaching text editors. The theoretical part is mapping the whole process leading to the project of the compilation. The practical creating of the compilation and the intellectual difficulties are discussed in the semifinal part of my thesis. The final part of the thesis (the empiric part) shows the practical evaluation and suggestion of the potential users.
