The aim of this bachelor thesis is to serve as explanatory instrument for teachers and their students during geography and physics classes on gymnasiums. The main goal of this thesis is to extend the knowledge of physics the Earth. This thesis is primaryly focused on introducing the Earth as dynamic body.I explain, that energy released during cooling of the Earth is responsible for plate tectonics, volcanic and seismic activity, and internal magnetic field. Misconceptions in Physics at Elementary School - Suggestions on Procedure During Their Elimination.

In my bachelor thesis I outlined the ideas of our school's students about certain physical phenomena. From my practical experience I regularly come across misleading ideas that my students hold, and which are common general public, yet do not correspond to reality and have no scientific base. They are called misconceptions. It is very difficult to disprove such ideas and, as previous research results have shown, almost impossible because most students turn back to their misconceptions when the classes are over. I try to suggest such teaching methods that would leave long-term information in some students at least and prevent them from returning to the original misleading ideas. I have also tried to find physical models which students come across during Physics lessons at an elementary school and through which they describe the reality incorrectly. Solar kits and optoelectronic components in physics tuition

In my diploma thesis, there was created the summary of solar construcion, toys and another elements, which are available on the market. At first some construction were selected, than there were the experiments were drawn up and at the end the experiments were done by students dutiny the lessons.There is also a short movie including these experiment. The diploma thesis contains my own design of solar construction, the description of its manufactory and its use in teaching physics. There is also the description of accompanying website. On this website i tis possible to download the wokrsheets. These worksheets were tested dutiny the teaching and later than at work evalueted.

Integration of interactive centers into the extracurricular teaching - concrete proposals for iQpark in Liberec

The thesis deals with creation of worksheets for high school students who have attended the iQlandia science centre. There are the types of worksheets and tasks described in the first part of the thesis. Principles which should be held in the process of the worksheet creation are mentioned, too. The second part is dedicated to six worksheets created under the terms of the thesis assignment. There are didactic notes and comments added to all explanatory paragraphs and tasks contained in worksheets. All worksheets were tested at three high schools and were filled by stu-dents aged from 15 to 17 years. The percentage success of students in each task is mentioned in its description, too. A questionnaire was a part of the testing phase. Results coming from this small search are analysed in the thesis. Tyto tabulky jsou součástí práce a jsou umístěny na jejím konci jako příloha. Práce se zabývá problematikou výběru vhodných objekt· z reálného života a použitím jejich typických vlastností pro tvorbu nových fyzikálních úloh. Její součástí je zmapování středoškolských učebnic, které tvořily podklad pro výběr objekt· a jejich vlastností, a dále tvorba elektronických fyzikálních tabulek a jejich využití ve výuce. This thesis is devoted to teachers and students of high schools. Its purpose is to deepen the knowledge that students may gain during geography lessons and to relate it to the information obtained during lessons of physics taught in high schools. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the most recent problematic of geophysics to students and to briefly explain the effects of physical laws, which they may encounter. This work is mainly focused on the description of the interior structure of the Earth, the Wave propagation thru the Earth, the heat movement of heat within the Earth and the rise of the magnetic field of the Earth. This thesis is divided into two parts, the first part is composed by study scripts in which are summed up and explained the geophysical findings about the Earth. For pedagogical purposes, physical findings that are needed to understand this thesis are also repeated and explained. Supported Physics Materials for the Science Center iQpark

Interactive science centrum iQpark in Liberec have become the most significant devices of this kind in Czech Republic. This science centrum contains hundreds of physically and generally focused exhibits, which acquaints visitors with basic physical phenomenon and lows. Exhibits contain basic physical description, bud there are missing advanced descriptions. There are some exhibits, which have experienced by mistake. This thesis contain more detailed physical description of some mechanics exhibits. It is: The pirouette, Newton's cradle, Newton's cart, Hopping balls, Scale (duo-reversible lever). This thesis also contain explanation of related terms and laws.

Animations for supoort of critical thinking in physics education

This dissertation represents issues in e-laboratories /virtual, remote and computer operated laboratories/. It has been discussed lately their uses in studies and their influence on correct understanding researched issues. This work also conducts a survey of current state and opinions on e-laboratories. This study is applied primarily to virtual laboratories, specifically physical applets from an optics area. There are 9 apllets. There is a prepared questionare where teachers of high, primary and secondary schools evaluates quality of processing, physical correstness, arrangement and usage in education. Pavel Böhm Supervisor's e-mail address: pavel.bohm@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: Modernizing equipment enables schools to involve advanced computer- aided systems in physics teaching. This work especially focuses on systems capable of recording and storing measured data for later evaluation - the dataloggers. The introduction of this work is devoted to a survey among physics teachers that should investigate what form of instructions they prefer; then a brief search of existing ma- terials follows. The main part of the work consists of newly created instructions for experiments with dataloggers of the Vernier experimental system, primarily designed to serve tea- chers to implement physics experiments in their teaching. The instructions always include a description how to prepare and undertake the measurement, how to process the measured data and what questions and tasks for students can be connected with this part of physics. Experiments described in this work mainly focus on secondary school thermodynamics (or more precisely on molecular physics and thermals) and their thematic intersection is energy, its forms, transmission and conservation.

Interactive Centres in Physics Teaching - Concrete Application

The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to create a structured description of experiments installed in the iQpark science centre in Liberec. The target was to choose experiments usable especially on high schools. I described 84 interactive experiments which were categorized in six main topics and 23 subtopics. The description of each experiment is completed by photographs, proposals for discussion with students and an original description for students by iQpark. Short videos were made for selected experiments, too. A new website was made for this survey of experiments. The website is available for free. The database is primarily dedicated to high school physics teachers who plane a trip with students to the iQpark science centre. Reader becomes also familiar with the concept of the science centres and their progress in the Czech Republic.
