Diploma thesis on Portrayal of Economic Growth Value is a content analysis of chosen czech daily papers. It is engaged in questions of economic growth (and gross domestic product) and its significance in daily papers Blesk, Hospodářské noviny, Mladá fronta Dnes and Právo. The aim is to discover value dimensions of economic growth portrayal. The study come out from those authors who has criticall approach to the problems of economic growth, mind its negative social and environmental effects, and dispute its desirability and legitimacy. Also there are presented findings from media studies, which are related to the role of media when the acceptable picture of world is beeing established. The critique of economic growth and the reflections of media role when the current social order is reproduced are connected in one question: what is the way in which the media participate on common acceptance of economic growth through portrayal of its value dimensions. Through application of content analysis method the study try to answer the question if economic growth is pictured in a positive or negative way and which picture is prevailing. The topic of this master's degree thesis - "Ideology of the Normalization, or the Normalization of Ideology: Narrative and Ideological Analysis of Films about Everyday Life during the 'Normalization'" - is an inquiry into the ideology of the so-called normalization period (1968-1989) as it is represented in mainstream Czech post-communist films. The research question is posed as follows: Do these films reflect on the ideology of the Normalization era itself, or are they normalizing a new post-communist ideology about the Normalization? The Diploma thesis titled 'The Development Of The Anarchist Press In The Czech Republic Since 1991' takes the examples of magazines A-kontra and Existence to examine not only anarchist media as the representatives of the alternative media, but also the anarchist movement itself and its thought foundations. It further examines the anarchist groups active on the territory of the Czech Republic since 1991 and the press published by them. The quantitative content analysis is used to further examine the anarchist media using the examples of the magazines of A-kontra and Existence, for instance in the area of topics, and to look for the common traits with alternative media.
LinkedIn as a phenomenon in the labour market

The diploma thesis LinkedIn as a phenomenon in the labour market focuses on the social network called LinkedIn and its impacts in the area of recruitment and selection of technical staff on the Czech labour market. The aim of the thesis is to point to the existence of the phenomenon LinkedIn. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one is dedicated to social networks, their definition, history, importance, classification and users. The second one is centered on LinkedIn as a specific example of a social network focusing on its history and present and overlapping into the recruitment and selection of staff. Also mentioned is the setting and appearance of the account on LinkedIn and how to reach workers on LinkedIn. The methodological part describes the chosen method of research. The analytical part tries to summarize and interpret the acuired data.
