PhDr. Oldřich Matoušek 2018 ABSTRACT The main aim of this thesis is to describe the factors that hamper the integration of Refugee Children into a new society. Factors that are mentioned in relation to integration are connected with an education gap, unfamiliarity with the language spoken in a new society, a bad economic situation of a family and its consequences and unstable or inappropriate housing. Social economic factors are also mentioned in the thesis. Child Labour closely linked to family conditions are discuess together with the worst form of it: child requitment into army. Refugee children coming from various backgrounds also may face many psychologically challenging situations when forcefully or willingly leaving their home country and other significant situations connected to their refugee status. The Employment Prospects of Persons with Disabilities in the Open Labour Market

The thesis is focused on the employment of persons with disabilities in the open labour market. The concepts related to disability and handicap have been dealt in the theoretical part as so as the importance of employment for people with disabilities, employment issues and embedding the right to work in an international and Czech rule of law have been discussed. In the empirical part the attitudes of employers to the disabled employees, their motives and experiences are evaluated. In the frame of thesis, that is being reached by qualitative research using the semi-structured interviewing employers in three districts of the Central Bohemia.
Forms of spending free time of children in Rotava and creation of a proposal for a community center

The diploma theses is focused on free time of children in Rotava. The aim of this theses is to find out the forms of spending free time of children aged 6 - 12 years in Rotava. Another goal is to create a proposal for a community center. The theoretical part deals with the theme of childhood in today's type of society and also with the topic of free time. This section is focused on free time of children and its historical transformation. Then attention is aimed at the current status of free time of children and the factors affecting this area. Another chapter is devoted to community and community centers. The diploma theses also contains the research part. Interviews, non - participant observation in a public area of the town and secondary data analysis were used as research methods. The results of research show that the offer of free time activities for children aged 6 - 12 years in Rotava is insufficient and inappropriately conceived. Many children spend their free time in a public area of the town or at home with electronic media.

Significance of Philanthropy in community social work focusing on efficiency of performance Abstract (in English) The aim of this diploma thesis is the presentation of the subject of philanthropy in community social work. Special attention is however paid to the concept of effectivity of performance of social work. It is also endeavoured to delineate the concepts such as community social work, philathropy, quality of social services and measuring social impact. The main purpose of the research part of the thesis is exploration of the question whether there is a connection between effectivity of an organization and its success. In the commercial sector, success is perceived as long-term stability of the organization and its market prosperity. The aim of the research was to find out if this relationship holds true for non-profit sector or social services as well. The chosen strategy was qualitative research. The data collecting was conducted by means of individual semi-structured interviews. The main contribution of the thesis is the finding that the performance capacity of an organization is conditioned primarily by its staffing. More precisely, the more high-quality employes the organization has the higher performace it should achieve.
Using of coaching in social work.

(anglicky): The bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of coaching and its possibilities for using in social work. All the work is focused only on the micro level of social work, so it is working with methods of working with the individual. The thesis consists of a theoretical part, which mainly defines concepts directly related to the topic. Then their similarity is compared in accordance with chapters before. The second part - the practical part - was go through with interviews with the coaching respondents, the social work respondents and the respondents, both of whom meet these themes. Respondents were asked questions in the wording that corresponds to their work, that questions for respondents in the field of coaches had a modified wording, so they would ask about the essence of working with the client in coaching. Similarly, for the respondents in the field of social work the wording of the questions was adapted. Based on the evaluation of these interviews, not only the similarity of the two areas was confirmed but also the conditions under which coaching in social work could be used. The Importance of Social Firm in Social Integration of Persons with Mental Diseases

The dissertation look into the question what social firm has a impact on the social integration of people with mental diseases. It is divided into theoretical part, profiles of surveyed organizations and practical part. In theoretical parts are offered definitions of the various authors about social integration, social firms, persons with mental illness. Definition of approaching the issue. There are also published theories, which were subsequently verified in the empirical work. Brief profiles of organizations includes two social firms and one sheltered workshop. In empirical part was a qualitative research aimed at answering research questions. They were directed to full the objectives of the work. The main method in this case were semi-structured interviews. Work leads to knowledge, some of which support the theoretical ssumptions about the importance of social integration firm. However, some theoretical knowledge about the importance of social integration, were not confirmed by the results of empirical research. The theme of my thesis is Assistance in financial management and use of financial counselling services at the asylum houses for mothers with children. The aim of this study is to determine whether it is possible to help mothers at asylum houses with financial management. Financial literacy and the skill to manage their money of these users is very low and it is later on transmitted to their children. Social workers at asylum houses try to help and to encourage their clients in various areas of their lives. Money is not the area every client allows you to intervene in. In my work I consider the views of particular participants on issues of financial management and through using various tools to cooperate with users to improve their financial management skills and at the end of my work I review how the cooperation worked out and succeeded.
The Availability of Social and Consecutive Services for the Homeless in the Klatovy District

The aim of the diploma thesis ,,The Availability of Social and Consecutive Services for the Homeless in the Klatovy District" is to determinate the real availability of services in the Klatovy district and the awareness of people without shelter about the possibilities of assistance. Theoretical part explains the terms exclusion, poverty and homelessness (identification, causes, consequences). The theoretical part in the second chapter discusses the possibilities of social work with people without shelter. There are defined participants who engaged in problems of homelessness at the beginning. The work defines the social services, social benefits and the process of reintegration subsequently. The theoretical part presents some housing models - Housing Ready, Housing First and Social Housing in the end. Practical part is the most important part of the thesis. There is the social demographic analysis of the Klatovy region in the beginning. The main section contains research work. The results of the research indicate that the services are available for people from the Klatovy region more than for other candidates. Social Farming: Innovation for Social Work

The bachelor thesis Social agriculture: innovation for social work presents social farming as a tool to promote and develop physically and socially disadvantaged persons which is based on agricultural activities. The purpose of social farming is to create within farms or through agricultural activities conditions that enable the integration of persons with special needs into mainstream society while ensuring improvement in their physical and mental condition and promoting the quality of their social relationships. The thesis describes the concept of social farming, defines its users and its providers. It deals with its history and status in some European countries and focuses in more detailed way on the current state of social farming in the Czech Republic. The author confirms its quality and limitations by introducing foreign research studies in this area, and in her own research on the two social farms in the Czech Republic. This bachelor thesis: Possibilities of prevention against burn-out syndrome for helping professional with children is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. Theoretical part is split into three chapters. The first one is dedicated the burn-out syndrome, its definition, symptoms, circumstances and ways that can lead to the syndrome. It is dedicated to phases in which the syndrome takes place and there are also described people who are threatened by the syndrome more than the others. The second chapter is dedicated to stress. The last one is dedicated to the prevention of burn-out syndrome in private and work life. The aim of the practical part is a quest to find knowledge and approach of helping professional working with children to the burn-out syndrome and its prevention. Component of the practical part of the thesis is a small research that was accomplished through interviews with twelve employees of Základní škola pro zrakově postižené in Prague. Research sphere concerned the burn-out syndrome in general, the prevention of burn-out syndrome in private and work life.
