Analysis of competitiveness of iStyle CZ, s. r. o.

The Aim of this bachelors thesis is to compile an competition analysis of the firm iStyle, s.r.o. And to suggest recommendations to improve competitiveness and position on the market for the future development of the firm. The thesis is divides in two parts which are theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains demarcation of basic concepts and methods related to compiling the analysis of competition. The practical part contains the introduction of the analysed firm, analysis of the external with help of Pest analysis and Porters modul of 5 forces and analysis of internal environment. Penultimate chapter belongs to Swot analysis, where I summarize all the analysis. The last chapter belongs to proposals and recommendations based on compiled analysis.
Teorie her a její aplikace v globálním ropném průmyslu

This thesis will enable the reader to see how applications of game theory can help understand the development in oil market. Firstly, the thesis will introduce to the reader the foundations of game theory, a branch of microeconomics studying strategic interaction. Special focus will be put on the theory of oligopoly, the most important collusive and non-collusive models of oligopoly and their similarities and differences. Secondly, the thesis will show the reader how these theoretic models can be applied to the past development within the global oil industry, most prominently on the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries. Finally, the thesis will present possible applications of game theory and some of the models to the oil market after the price decrease which started in 2014. This would help the reader assess the potential outcomes of the current crisis and possible development in the future.
Selected aspects of the latest financial crisis

The thesis is dedicated to clarifying the origins and main causes of the economic crisis. In the first part I ilustrate the connection between the monetary policies of central banks and the changes in structure of the production and investments with the help of Austrian Business Cycle Theory. These theoretical assumptions are confronted with the empirical findings from USA throughout the 20th century. The second part discusses other factors leading to the crises, mainly focusing on the 2009 economic crises and various free market and state controlled factors. The thesis discusses these factors from the point of view of theoretical and empirical knowledge of economic science.
Foreigners in the Czech labour market

The work is devoted to analysis of foreign nationals on the Czech labour market. The main aim of this thesis is to develop an analysis related to foreigners on the Czech labour market. Hypothesis is the following assertion: the economic crisis changed situation with foreigners on the Czech labour market. The thesis consists of three parts: theoretical and practical design. The following scientific methods were used: analysis, comparison and comparison. The research is based on official statistics data.
The efficient frontier during the financial crisis.

Bachelor thesis deals with the basics of portfolio theory and its applications, mathematical and graphical models in the theory of portfolio and, finally, an estimate of the specific efficient frontiers during the financial crisis. The aim of the work is to estimate, graphically illustrate and to compare the efficient frontier for specific states in the course of eight years. These sets of portfolios are composed of two assets and that is one risk and one risk-free asset. A result of this combination is an efficient frontier illustrated in a form of the capital market line and its slope given by so called risk premium. We will focus on the comparison in time for each state individually and at the same time each year separately between the states themselves. Finally, a specific example of portfolios with various share of risk and risk-free assets are compiled lying on the line of an efficient frontier.
Picking stocks with the value investing strategy

The Bachelor thesis focuses on the whole process of picking stocks. In the first, theoretical, part, the importance of investing both in personal and corporate life is mentioned. It also describes the screening process of a stock market inluding the list of all used screening criterias, and the DCF pricing model, as one of the most used valuing methods out there. All the parts of DCF model (cost of capital, cashflow, growth, valuation) are explained there. In the second, practical, part, we use the screening proces to pick one company from NYSE (New York Stock Exchange). The company is National Oilwell Varco, Inc., and the DCF model is used to execute valuation of the company with all necessary calculations. In closing of the second part, the investment decision is carried out applying the concept of margin of safety, and final thoughts depict the possible flaws in the valuation, acquired insights and future recommendation.
The use of EU funds in a certain region

European structural funds, which for the programming period 2014 -- 2020 are so called "the European Structural and Investment funds (ESI funds) are the main instrument for implementing the policy of economic and social cohesion (ESC) of the European Union. The main purpose of these funds is to reduce economic and social disparities between EU Member states and their regions. The aim of this work is to assess the influence and impact of EU funds in the development of a particular region in the country, especially in the field of tourism. This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical part focuses on regional policy (also the economic and social cohesion) of the European Union and the Czech Republic. It also discusses the issue of ESI funds in detail and focuses on each fund individually. This section is followed by describing the situation in the use of structural funds in the Czech Republic during the programming period 2007 - 2013. Finally, the thesis also mentions the current programming period 2014 - 2020, the basic programming documents such as the Agreement on Partnership and new operational programs. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of a specific project in the field of tourism in Central Bohemia. Conclusion contains the evaluation of the impact of European funds in a specific region and presents a summary of the pros and cons of their use.
Foreign Exchange trading – theoretic solutions, practical experience

Main goal of this bachelor thesis is to summarize both theoretical and empirical approaches to FOREX trading. Moreover we were interested in the most modern trading strategies. At first we presented the theory of Market Efficiency hypothesis which is the most discussed theory among the FOREX market theories and practice. More the Market Efficiency hypothesis is the theoretical basis explaining the financial market mechanism. At second there are the classical approaches presented. These are the technical, fundamental and even psychological financial market analysis. In the empirical part we have analyzed the relation between the spot exchange rate EUR/CZK and forward rate. The forward rate is said to be an unbiased predictor of future spot exchange rate. In conclusion we discussed presented trading strategies which optimally utilized are able to earn above average profit rate.
Foreigners on the Czech labor market

The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to carry out entire analysis of the position of foreigners on the Czech labor market. The attention is also aimed to analysis of an illegal employment which represents for the Czech Republic not only financial losses, but also safety risks and risks of criminality rise. The practical part deals with a legislative basis to the second part concerning the development of foreigners' presence on the Czech labor market: both registered foreigners in the labor office and those having a trade license. The final part summarizes the most significant findings and assesses given problems.
Analysis of the application of flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and selected countries of European Union

This bachelor thesis deals with a phenomenon of flexible forms of the work in the Czech Republic and chosen countries of the European Union. The study is divided into three parts. In the first part we can find theoretical determination of flexibility on the labour market. In the second part there is an analysis of flexible works in the Czech Republic, Netherlands and Slovenia performed. The last part is the final, with a summary of observed facts and with international comparison of the situation on the labour market.
