Family house on a slope
Falta, Tomáš ; Král, Jakub (referee) ; Šuhajdová, Eva (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with processing of a specific part of a project documentation for a family house construction. This object is situated on a slope in a village Voděrady near Rychnov nad Kněžnou, belonging to Královéhradecký region. The family house is designed as a two-floor one, intended for a four-member family. Vertical constructions are from KM BETA SEDWIX system. The roof construction above the living quarter is made of a saddle roof with a slope of 38°. One part of the house is a garage for one car. The roof above the garage is made of one envelope flat roof.
Přímé zahraniční investice do těžebního průmyslu v Africe
Král, Jakub ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Halík, Jaroslav (referee)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to analyse the trend of foreign direct investment into mining industry in Africa. In this thesis, I focus solemnly on the extraction of minerals, excluding the oil and gas industry. The analysis looks at the FDI from a historical perspective in the new millennium up to the current situation, which is characteristic for low commodity prices, which subsequently depress the activities of mining corporations. Furthermore, the important part of the thesis is also the projection of future development of FDI, the analysis of the correlation between commodity prices and FDI development and the research of African investment environment. A brief case study regarding the real-life foreign direct investment into copper mining projects in Democratic Republic of the Congo is carried out in the end of this thesis. In this case study I present details about this project, however, also the professional opinion of co-head of mining division at Trafigura, Emmanuel Henry, on the investment environment in Africa in regard to the mining industry and his feelings about the future development of the investment.
Metodika porovnávacího měření různých typů tubusových světlovodů
Plch, Jiří ; Mohelníková, Jitka ; Král, Jakub
The illuminance measurement method for a comparative evaluation of two light pipes is described in the paper. Two commercially available light pipes of similar dimensions were evaluated for light transmittance. Measurement and data processing methodology was completed for the comparison of the light pipe efficiency. Results of continual one minute intervals measurements are presented for three month monitoring.
Energy efficient terraced house
Král, Jakub ; Bečkovská, Tereza (referee) ; Bečkovský, David (advisor)
The aim of my diploma thesis is a design of a new energy efficient terraced house in the gap site. Building has two dwelling unit of category 4+kitchenette and 6+ kitchenette. Building has a cellar, two floors and an attic. The cellar structures and horizontal structures are made of reinforced concrete. Sand-lime bricks are used for masonry. The building is covered with gabled roof with timber roof truss. In this building there are used rainwater and renewable energy in a form of electrical energy made by photovoltaic panels.
Measurement of diffusion coefitients by use of magnetic resonance
Král, Jakub ; Gescheidtová, Eva (referee) ; Bartušek, Karel (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis is focused on imaging techniques based on the principles of nuclear-magnetic resonance. These techniques are one of the most modern studies of physical, chemical and biological properties of substances. Introduction of this work is focused primarily on physical principles. Further in this work attention is given to the method of the PFG-SE but also to more modern multiinterval NMR methods, which removes the systematic measurement errors for heterogeneous materials. Part of the work is also devoted to b-factor calculations for various kinds of pulse sequences. In last part the work is devoted to data processing in Matlab and Marevisi. Selected method from the beginning of the work is than used to measure the diffusion and processing of tissue cultures.
Machine learning for analysis of MR images of brain
Král, Jakub ; Říha, Ivo (referee) ; Provazník, Ivo (advisor)
The thesis is focused on methods of machine learning used for recognising the first stage of schizophrenia in images from nuclear-magnetic resonance. The introduction of this paper is focused primarily on physical principles. Further in this work, the attention is given to registration methods, reduction of data set and machine learning. In the classification part, simmilarity rates, support vectors´ method, K-nearest neighbour classification and K-means are described. The last stage of theoretical part is focused on evaluation of the clasification. In practical part the results of reduction data set by methods PCA, CRLS-PCA and subjects PCA are described. Furthermore, the practical part is focused on pattern recognition by methods K-NN, K-means and test K-NN method on real data. Abnormalities which are recognised by some classification methods can distinguish patients with schizophrenia from healthy controls.
Low-Energy Timber Detached House
Král, Jakub ; Hučík, Michal (referee) ; Králová, Zuzana (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is a project of new low-energy detached house with garage, two-floor house without cellar. The building is covered with flat green roof. The structural system is composed of timber I-joists Steico. Detached house consists of one housing unit of category 5+1.
Increasing the information value of the data using modern approaches to visualization
Král, Jakub ; Slánský, David (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This thesis solves the area of data visualization in Business Intelligence. We live in a time when the amount of data grows turbulently. These data need to be processed into a form with added value for management and business objectives of the company. The first task is to adjust the data into the required format, the second task is to choose the appropriate visualization so that the data are providing the highest value. This work deals with data visualization and its main aim is to introduce a different approach to data visualization, which has a higher added value than conventional visualization methods used in dashboards and reports. First of all, theoretical part is describing data area (including the trend of Big Data) and reporting (chapter 3). Followed by chapter 4, which is enriching the reader with the information about the need to deal with data visualization and also with the design theory of visualization components. The theoretical part is finished with fifth chapter. It deals with current trends in the field of data visualization and Business Intelligence and also introduces D3.js library as a tool for creating interactive and efficient visualization components. The practical part is offering suggestions for interactive and dynamic visualization of input data (chapter 6). It presents a convenient way to choose a visualization component with greater value than the traditional static component in the form of a graph or table. Proposals contained in D3.js library are presented to the reader. Chosen components according to the author are interesting from the view of design and, if properly used, offer an innovative approach to data visualization. For purposes of practical examples of visualization, author is using D3.js library and open source tool for Business Intelligence from Pentaho. Practical example is part of the final chapter 7.
The current business environment in Libya and the development of business relations with the Czech republic
Král, Jakub ; Gullová, Soňa (advisor) ; Felfel, Dia Eddin (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current business environment in Libya and to identify opportunities and threats, which can the businesses expect while entering the Libyan market. The result of this analysis evaluates, whether it is at present appropriate for foreign companies to invest their capital in the territory of Libya or not. The analysis is carried out by PEST technique, which specifically determines various factors of its business environment, and subsequently is evaluated by ETOP technique. The secondary goal of this thesis is to analyze the development of trade relations between Libya and the Czech Republic since the beginning of trade cooperation until present. The crucial part of this thesis is the research to what extent are Czech companies involved in business activities in the territory of Libya and in which sectors of Libyan economy they can approach new business opportunities.
