Charge Exchange processes involved in projectile-target interaction at low energy range studied by HS-LEIS
Bábík, Pavel ; Král, Jaroslav (referee) ; Průša, Stanislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the charge exchange processes between projectile and target studied by the Low Energy Ion Scattering (LEIS) technique. Basic premise to investigate charge exchange processes is correct cleaning processes and proper settings of experimental instrument Qtac 100 placed in the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC) in Brno. Ion fraction expresses neutralization rate of the projectile. The parametr is investigated for clean and oxidized polycrystalline copper. Oxygen presence performs a significant part of reionization of backscattered neutralized projectiles.
Factors influencing customer profitability: an empirical examination in noncontractual settings
Hanuska, Norbert ; Kyjonka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Král, Jaroslav (referee)
Understanding of how to manage relationships with customers has become an important topic for both academic and practitioners in recent years. The effectiveness of business can be greatly improved by identifying the drivers of the most profitable customers and using them to target the right customers. In this study we identify exchange characteristics such as amount of money spent per purchase, customer relationship duration with firm, ratio of cross-buying and demographic characteristics such as age and gender as important drivers of the most profitable customers. The results of the study have important implications for academicians in understanding what drives the most profitable customers in noncotractual settings as well as practitioners to help design more effective marketing strategies. Moreover, the results of knowledge discovery about customers by different data mining techniques also contribute to help researchers identifying feasibility of these methods. Psychological profiling of an offender
Král, Jaroslav ; Čírtková, Ludmila (advisor) ; Konrád, Zdeněk (referee)
In my thesis I focus on psychological profiling of an offender which is one of relatively new and rapidly developing methods of investigation. In its modern form it was developed in United States in early 70's and it is currently used more and more frequently. Therefore new possibilities of its use are still developed. The method that was originally used basically just to create the profile of an unknown perpetrator, is now used much more broadly. I chose it as a topic of my thesis primarily for its multidisciplinary nature, the breadth of its application possibilities and openness to new knowledge and theories. Not quite irrelevant reason was also a certain controversy that acompannies this technique. The purpose of my thesis is an attempt at comprehensive and sober perspective, organizing current knowledge and exploring how can psychological profiling help in linking crimes in series. I divided the work into three chapters. The first chapter deals with the general characteristics of psychological profiling, particularly the definition of the term, historical roots and development of the method, its objectives, purposes and suitable situations for its use. The second chapter focuses on issues of methodology of psychological profiling, both generally and in terms of different approaches. I also try...
Automatic corrections in MS Office Word and their impact on children's grammar
Král, Jaroslav ; Štípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Leipert, Jiří (referee)
In its theoretical part this bachelor thesis focuses on introducing how spelling and grammar corrections in text processors work on basic level. Brief history of text processors as well as linguistic basics needed for comprehension of the discussed problems are mentioned. In its practical part the bachelor thesis focuses on a research. Its goal is to examine whether there is a connection between using grammar and spelling correction in Microsoft Office Word 2007 and the level of grammatical expression of the youth. Another goal is to examine the hand written text conducted in the research for distribution of errors recognized by Microsoft Office Word 2007 in relation to errors not recognized by this program. A questionnaire and a dictate, which is first written in hand and then later in same form using Microsoft Office Word 2007, are used to gather the data necessary for the research. The evaluation of the research reveals some interesting results, however the hypotheses of the research are not validated.
External Economic Analysisi of an Enterprise
Data Quality Scorecards

Title: Evaluation of methods for conceptual design and implementation of service-oriented applications based on enterprise integration systems. Author: Pavol Kovac Department: Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: Ing. Lucia Kapova Supervisor's e-mail address: lucia.kapova@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: Service-oriented development (SOA) has become commonly used approaches for building large systems. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate of methods for conceptual design and implementation of service-oriented applications based on enterprise integration systems. In more detail, the work should analyze three frameworks for SOA development, implement a case study in these systems and based on the analysis evaluate possibilities of service coordination. The implementation of case study and introduction of steps of SOA development process is expected. Keywords: SOA, ESB, BPM, integration
Partly service oriented systems.
Severýn, Tomáš ; Kasal, Jindřich (referee) ; Král, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze current state of Service Oriented Architecture, describe maturity of some products on the market and to make forecast of future trends based on gained experience. Service Oriented Architecture is a wide term and may have deep impact on many activities in modern enterprise. Development, which led to this architecture from IT point of view, together with most used standards, is summarized in theoretical part of this thesis. The stress is put on standards connected with process management and integration of human tasks into processes. Practical part of this thesis is focused on feasibility study of creating document management system. It concentrates on analysis of current situation and design of extending the system with external process management. Implementation work was made to prove ability to connect those systems using standards from theoretical part of this thesis. During the implementation were discovered that some components fail to satisfy those standards and therefore it was necessary to make some changes in communication layer. However, the hypothesis that current products are mature enough was proved to be true.
Distributed enactment of business processes in ESB framework
Kadlec, Pavel ; Richta, Karel (referee) ; Král, Jaroslav (advisor)
Thesis deals with design of framework that allows distributed processing of intradepartmental batch business processes. Framework should speed up the processing of business processes and enable their monitoring and management. Author of the thesis decided to use enterprise service bus in order to create a powerful distributed framework which will be easy to use by application programmers. Business processes are divided into parts - services that are deployed on individual nodes of enterprise service bus in order to achieve distributed processing. Services may be deployed on individual nodes in many instances in order to achieve parallel processing as well. Services are coordinated by process manager according to the plan. This means that the application programmer cares only about creating the business logic of individual services. Motivation was to accelerate the real business process which handles a large amount of data. Acceleration was achieved by applying database optimizations and subsequent incorporation of several computers via the enterprise service bus. Framework is based on enterprise service bus JBossESB, process manager jBPM and distributed transactions coordinated by WS-Transaction family protocol.
