Winery in Mutěnice
Škorvánková, Andrea ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
The essential idea of the design was to create an object whose shape and size does not disturb the image of the village environment in which it is located. Winery requires large areas for production and storage. It is divided into two one-storey objects both for technological reasons, but also because of the creation of two smaller volumes. The shape of the roof creates the division of the volume into several smaller ones, which are not so foreign to the village environment. The facade consists of vertical wooden slats in a natural pale shade. Aluminum windows in anthracite color, are designed in contrast to the expression of the facade. They are framed by an aluminum structure extending beyond the facade. The entrances to the building are covered with a light steel canopy in the same color.
Hippocenter Arpitha Podolí u Brna
Rejchl, David ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the Hippocentrum Arpitha in Podolí near Brno. This is a medium-sized riding area for training and housing 15 horses and the possibility of opening the area to the general public. The thesis of opening up to the public was crucial to the design approach. The area is divided into two main parts, the first as facilities for the riders and owners of the area, including accommodation, wellness, changing rooms, hygienic and technical facilities. And then the second part for the public with a cafe offering views of the valley and horse pastures, public sanitary facilities, technical and cleaning areas, as well as the main riding area with an auditorium and a walkway. The building is equipped with a spacious foyer that allows company or private parties to be held and creates organizational space in the event of a suburban camp. These two different spaces are contrasted by the appearance of the facades and are connected by a public courtyard dominated by a mature tree. The yard space is partially covered with a subtle monolithic structure. The area is complemented by the necessary storage areas for hay, straw, sawdust and also a manure pit. There are also parking areas for the public on the property, including parking spaces for cars and buses. The parking area is connected to the main building by a paved path that leads around the horse training area, offering the possibility to watch the horses from the residence staircase. There are 4 entrances to serve the area, two operational and two for the public.
Renovation of the castle in Velké Němčice
Strašáková, Anna ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the preparation of the documentation for the building permit and part of the documentation for the implementation of the building on the basis of the architectural study, which was developed in the subject AG35 (monument restoration studio). The theme of this bachelor thesis was to find a suitable concept for a new functional use, taking into respect the historical nature of the monument and its structural and technical condition. The project included the restoration of the whole area of the castle, for leisure use and the addition of parking spaces. The result was an architectural study of the restoration with an emphasis on viability and feasibility. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is the gentle restoration of the building with an emphasis on its reuse with both new functions and elements. The castle has been enriched with an extension that adds more lively proportions, thanks to a stained glass window designed in the shape of a crutch, which is the emblem of the municipality of Velké Němčice. The chateau is designed to function as an office, but also as a rental space, a clubhouse, a library, exhibition space and ceremonial rooms. The entire building is designed to be wheelchair accessible, including the immediate surroundings of the castle.
Renovation of the castle in Velké Němčice
Malínková, Valerie ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the restoration of a castle in Velké Němčice. The thesis builds on an architectural study carried out in the AG033 course of the Restoration of Monuments Studio. The task of the thesis is to create a complete project for the appropriate restoration and reconstruction of the castle and to propose its new utilization. At the same time, the thesis focuses on the solution of the castle's immediate surroundings. The object of the solution will be designed as a socially cultural object with administrative functions. The castle should serve as a new town hall, and in accordance with this, the following rooms will be created in the castle: a ceremonial hall, information center, mayor's office, secretary's office, registry office, accountant's office, archive, library, club room, refreshment facility, and interactive room. To achieve the implementation of the new operation in the castle, the correct restoration of the historical object is necessary. Using surveys and historical sources, I examine the architectural values and construction of the building. I strive to preserve historically significant layers, remove intrusive modern elements, and return the object its original expression. With the help of new technologies, I also strive to preserve the building for future generations. I propose minimum use of modern structures and elements, and therefore mainly focus on proper reconstruction and restoration.
Renovation of the monastery in Zákupy
Jendrulková, Natálie ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
Within the bachelor thesis the following objectives are set: 1) preparation of documentation for building permits, 2) parts of documentation for construction implementation. The starting point for both of these objectives is the architectural study, which was developed in the course AG35 – Atelier for the Restoration of Monuments. The theme of the studio work was to design the restoration and new functional use of a historic building in the centre of Zákupy. The building of the original monastery, dating from the 19th century, is located in the conservation area of the town. Taking into account a thorough analysis, a new multifunctional use is proposed: a post office, a library/multifunctional hall, facilities for local clubs and associations, facilities for physical activities and rental space for services. The restoration of the monument seeks a coherent form for the building, with the period layer seen as the most valuable. The relationship between the functional and representative form of the building is also examined. This duality serves as a vital compass throughout the design process. During the reconstruction, emphasis will be placed not only on its preservation, but also on its cultivation through new materials or interventions.
Multifunctional building Malá Amerika
Jašková, Tereza ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor work follows up on an architectural atelier project made in the winter semester of the third year of the bachelor program. The goal of this project is a plan of a new multifunctional building in the city part of Brno-Střed. The site is located on the corner of Nové Sady, Nádražní and Hybešova. There are Malá Amerika and Titanium buildings nearby. The new building respects the urban concept, and the new structures match the height of the already present buildings. The multifunctional building consists of three aboveground parts each of which has its own public services. The corner building serves as a shopping mall with administrative offices. The building next to the Titanium is used for its showrooms and administrative part and the last and lowest building houses a café with a multifunctional space and a library. The whole site is conjoined by its underground parking lot which is accessible through entrances on the north-west and north-east sides. The shape of the building copies the intersection and creates an imaginary rampart, which also creates a square between the structures of Malá Amerika and the multifunctional building. The stalls of these structures are made from concrete arches reminiscent of a historical viaduct, which used to be situated here. The upper floors are covered with cladding made from bricks. The building worked on has an atrium which provides more daylight to otherwise very deep floor layouts. The main goal was to create a pleasant and habitable space in this part of the city.
Renewal of the limekiln in Grygov
Venglář, Václav ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design restoration of the Grygov limekiln and to find new use for it and its surroundings. The building is not listed as historical monument, however according to the assignment it is treated as if it was. The project proposes to use the building as a multifunctional object with seasonal service for taking place of social and cultural events with use of the building’s surroundings. The restoration method is pluralistic. The aim is to capture the existing state, restore selected construction and its elements and to bring new objects to fulfil legal requirements. New objects correspond to the technical essence of the building and existing materials. The interventions are designed to be reversible if possible. The proposed interventions help the object to fulfil its potential as important spot near the city of Olomouc.
Renewal of the former coaching inn in Tišnov
Velazquez Hernandezová, Natalie ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the renewal of the cultural monument of the former coaching inn vol. Peklo in Tisnov. The subject of the proposal was the preparation of documentation for the building permit and part of the documentation for the construction on the basis of an architectural study, which was prepared in the subject AG035 Monuments renewal studio. The aim was to design the renovation of the inn, its new functional use and design a family house for the owner. My main concept is to make the inn building as intact as possible and to adapt it to the current requirements for the new content of the cultural center in combination with the preservation of valuable structures and elements. The most significant intervention in the external appearance of the building there are the those two extensions on the west facade, which hide the hygienic facilities and staff facilities. The visible above-ground extension is separated from the building by a glass connecting neck so that it is still possible to perceive the original form. The second building of the sanitary facilities is connected by an elevator to the above-ground extension, but it is located under the newly modified terrain, so only a small tube with an entrance from the lower courtyard is visibly added to the building from the exterior. The building of the newly built family house is separated from the building of the inn and embraces the existing cellar, the construction of which will be secured and cleaned and will continue to serve its purpose. The cellar will not be visible from the outside, but its value will remain preserved in the interior as a hidden treasure. This is a plot of land in the historic center of the town of Tišnov, where it was necessary to solve the separation of the private and public zones, landscaping and connection of extensions to the existing building. The proposed concept works with the division of the land into two height levels, which are linked to the histo
Arpitha - hippocentre Podolí u Brna
Palová, Iva ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Smolka, Radim (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis follows the course AG 032 completed in the second year of studies. The main topic is the design of the Arpitha Hippocenter complex in the village of Podolí u Brna. The land is located on the southern slope of the hill outside the village center. Next to the area of our concern, there is the premises of the former collective farm (JZD) located. The design of my hippocenter project is in the vein of a family stable, with emphasis on quality and pleasant environment for the recreational riding disciplines skills development. The complex should offer safe space for possible school trips and occasional races. The complex provides stables for 14 horses with facilities, spacious paddocks, a hall with a riding area of 20 × 40 m and a grandstand with sanitary facilities. Also, a circular riding hall, a mini zoo, storage of 190 bales of hay and sawdust and facilities for riders and club members with a clubhouse and club sauna are included.
Renewal of the baroque rectory in Sebranice
Ivanová, Charlotte ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Sobotka, Jindřich (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is to prepare documentation for building permits and the documentation for the building construction of a baroque rectory in Sebranice near Boskovice. The project is based on the subject AG033 - Studio of Architectural Design 3 - Restoration of Monuments. The aim of the studio work was the renewal and new function of the existing and currently unused listed building of the Baroque rectory. The existing appearance of the rectory dates from the 18th century and is currently in poor technical condition. It is important to secure it statically. During object design, I focused on the future use of the building and practicality while maximally preserving the valuable parts. The existing building is supplemented by an extension with technical facilities and transformed into a cultural and community centre of the village. While the first floor provides community rooms for various workshops, the second floor contains a puppet museum and a multifunctional hall. Emphasis was also placed on the functionality of the entire complex. It is divided into three parts. The eastern part with a community garden, the western part with a summer cinema and space for larger cultural events and the northern part with a garden leading to a small library building. The whole revitalized area can now serve the citizens for various types of events and be fully utilized.
