Brablecová, Vladimíra ; Jílek, Petr (referee) ; Kudláčková, Zděnka (advisor)
Inhalant allergens are the most significant reasons of allergic diseases. Background: The study of representation of common inhalant allergens about patients of allergologic ambulance in Hradec Králové and the incidence of allergic diseases and related aeroallergens. Methods: Notation of positive answer of prick testing to common inhalant allergens and monitoring of diagnosis. A total of 561 patients underwent prick testing in the last two years. The group created 384 women (68 %) and 177 men (32 %). The mean age of group was 35,5 years. Results: The prevalence rates for inhalant alergen groups were: pollens (84,8 %), dust mites (44,4 %), animal allergens (42,1 %) and molds (35,8 %). Men responded more sensitive to pollen and mites, women for animal allergens and molds. The prevalence rates for allergic diseases were: nasal allergy (86,3 %), conjunctivitis (69,2 %), bronchial asthma (50,3 %) and dermal allergy (30,5 %). In the female population was found statistically significant difference in the incidence of conjunctivitis, dermal allergies (both p  0,05) and bronchial asthma (p  0,01). Polysensitization was very common, with 81,1 % of all sensitizing patients positive to more than one allergen. Conclusions: Pollen allergens are the most significant allergens which implicate allergic response,...
Evaluation of anthropometric parameters in lactation.
Čadilová, Lucie ; Kudláčková, Zděnka (referee) ; Hronek, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this work was to find out how is the bodily structure of mothers changed after childbirth, what these antropometrical changes depend on and what they are determined by. The basic points of the work are the following: description of antropometrical changes depending on time after childbirth, looking for particular parametres correlations and their descriptions. We have found out that the difference of the weight after childbirth and the weight before gravidity is statistically important (ANOVA, p < 0,0001). Women who took part of the project reached the weight they had before gravidity (the average weight before gravidity was 61,52 ± 1,519 kg and 9 months after childbirth 61,71 ± 1,867 kg). . Although figures of BMI after childbirth go down lineary, the result is not significant. Thickness of skin folds reached maximum values in the third month after childbirth and since that time we have noted lineary values decline. The biggest values differences and simultaneously the biggest and statistically significant decline (ANOVA, p = 0,0019) have been noted by the skin fold in the middle of a thigh where the biggest part of nonsweat fat was placed. The fat mobilized after childbirth. From the 6th month after childbirth the fat from the area below a bladebone may mobilize. We have noted a...

Author: Eva Čechová TItle: Eating Disorders: Anorexia Nervosa Thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Specialization: Pharmacy Background: The main aim of this thesis is to collect the latest available findings from Czech and foreign literature concerning eating disorder - Anorexia Nervosa. Main findings: Anorexia Nervosa is a serious and a life threatening illness. The etiology is multi-factorial including sociocultural influences, family and genetic factors, biological factors, personal features and stress or unfavorable life events. Anorexia Nervosa is about ten to twenty times more common disease in female than in male population and it leads to a multitude of endocrine, metabolic, somatic and psychic disturbances. The prevalence of personality disorders, alcohol or substance abuse, major depression, obsessive-compulsive and anxiety disorders is frequent in about 25-50% of cases. The aim of therapy is mainly the nutritional rehabilitation and to induce normal eating behaviour. In-patient treatment is necessary in case of malnourished persons near death. Family therapy has been found to be effective in adolescents and the cognitive behavior approach is generally recommended. Conclusions: There is accepted so-called "one third rule", which means that one third...

Mrázková, Simona ; Tilšer, Ivan (referee) ; Kudláčková, Zděnka (advisor)
Background: Evaluation of two different anticoagulation methods in reference to the lifetime of the extracorporeal circuit during continuous elimination techniques (CRRT) and the costs associated with the use of extracorporeal elimination techniques. Methods: Data Recording. The pilot study involved 18 patients who were hospitalized in 2007 in the ward of the Department of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Medicine, Faculty Hospital in Hradec Kralove (KARIM), and were treated with the continuous elimination techniques and anticoagulants, heparin or citrate, to the recover renal function. Results: : The means of APACHE II score, which indicates the severity of the patient's state, were 30,38 in the heparin group and 26,8 in the citrate group on the first day of hospitalization. The average length of hospitalization was 7 days in the heparin group and 9 days in the citrate group. CRRT lasted for 45,69 hours in the heparin group and 101,45 hours in the group with citrate. The circuit lifetime was 21 hours for heparin vs. 33,63 hours for citrate. The average costs of CRRT per hour were 542,57 Kč (heprin) vs. 424,18 Kč (citrate). Conclusions: Consider the statistically comparable parameters related to the effectiveness of both compared anticoagulants (citrate vs. heparin), the study results...
Predisposing factors of atopic eczema.
Kochová, Martina ; Kudláčková, Zděnka (referee) ; Jílek, Petr (advisor)
1 ABSTRACT The atopy is inherited descent displayed by increased reaction of the 1st degree which may develop in diseases such as astma, seasonal allergic catarrh rhinoconjuctivida, and atopic eczema. AE disiase is chronic or chromically recicivating xeroderma with high level of itching and also genetically conditioned. AE affects great amount of world's population and it is heavy burden for the patient, his family, and the whole society. The theses' goal, which is the pilot study, is to analyze the data, seemingly unconnected. The thesis is based upon the evaluation of the respondent's answers which focused on predisposed factors for atopic eczema. The questionnaires were spread in 150 pieces and at the end we worked with 98 of them which came back filled out. We divided our respondents by two aspects. First aspect was if respondents are people with allergy or eczema, and sekond aspect was if they are younger than 20 years old or older than 20 years. In our relatively small respondent sample, we were not able to prove higher prevalence of AE between young boys or girls. We proved that the nursing for at least 6 months helps to prevent the risk of the atopic underpass (with statistic significance p0,001). The presumptuous prophylactic influence of parasitic infection was not proved. Even children infected...
Influence of transforming growth factor (TGF) beta 1 and endoglin on atherogenesis.
Šumberová, Kateřina ; Nachtigal, Petr (referee) ; Kudláčková, Zděnka (advisor)
Author: Kateřina Šumberová Title of diploma thesis: Význam transformujícího růstového faktoru beta 1 a endoglinu v aterogenezi Diplomová práce Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Field: Pharmacy Abstract Background: Objective of this diploma thesis is background research using available knowledge about atherosclerosis, TGF - β1 (Transforming growth factor - β1) and endoglin and about their roles in atherogenesis. Main findings: TGF - β1 promotes atherosclerotic plaque stability, acts as antiinflammatory agent and prevents from development and progression of atherosclerosis. However, at the same time TGF - β1 restricts endothelial regeneration, lowers production of vasodilators whereas TGF - β1 promotes production of vasoconstrictors in blood vessel wall. TGF - β1 supports initiation and progression of hypertension contributing to more progressive atherogenesis. Endoglin is a transmembrane protein, a component of the TGF - β receptor komplex and modulates its signalisation. According to recent studies is considered antiatherogenic action of endoglin to blood-vessel endothelium. Conclusions: These results demonstrate that the role of TGF - β1 and endoglin in atherogenesis remains still unclear. Further investigation is neccesary for determination of exact mechanisms and roles of...

Alena Vondráčková The atorvastatin effects on endoglin expression in the atherosclerotic plaques. Diploma thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Pharmacy Background: We observed the expression of endoglin in atherosclerotic plaques in ApoE / LDL receptor-deficient mice with regard to the administration of atorvastatin. Methods: We used C57BL/6J female mice with double deficiency of apolipoprotein E and LDL receptor at the age of 8 weeks. Animals were divided into two groups and both groups were fed special diets for 8 weeks. Biochemical analysis of blood samples was performed. Histological staining with oil red we have taken for the determination of lipids in atherosclerotic lesions. Was also performed immunohistochemical analysis of tissue taken from segments that formed the aorta together with the upper half of the heart. Detection of expression of the endoglin was performed using Avidin-Biotin method (ABC) with detection using DAB. Results: Biochemical analysis showed an increase in total cholesterol after an eight- week administration of atorvastatin. Histological staining with oil red demonstrated the presence of atherosclerotic lesions in both groups of animals. Administration of atorvastatin resulted in hyperglycemic effect and significant reductions in...

Zuzana Langerová Brain Trauma II - Biomarkers in clinical diagnosis of head trauma Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralové Pharmacy The aim of my work was recherche literature and electronic information resources that focus on brain injuries and their complications, as well as the types and importance of biomarkers in clinical diagnosis of head trauma. Brain injuries can be classified according to various aspects. From the physical point of view is divided into a translational and acceleration injuries. The translational injuries depends on whether there is or isn't direct contact with another body. Acceleration injuries can be divided into linear, in which there is a bruising of surface structures and spin accidents resulting in trauma deep brain structures. In terms of the pathophysiology of brain injury is divided into primary, occurs at the time of injury and secondary occurs with an interval of trauma as a late result of this injury. In terms of clinical severity of craniocerebral injury can be divided into mild, moderate and severe. The final factor is the length of coma after the accident and the consequences. Dividing brain injury is not completely uniform. Among the most serious extracranial complications are disseminated intravascular coagulation, ion...
