The effect of kinesthetic sensation on the postural control and balance abilities of individuals with visaul impairments

Thesis title: The effect of kinesthetic sensation on the postural control and balance abilities of individuals with visual impairments Objectives: Compose through the literature study appropriete balance programe for the individuals with visual impairments and measure its effect on their postural control and balance abilities. Methods: Ten visually impaired subjects, one subject with visual and vestibular impairment and one healthy subject took part in this study. Movement intervention was held once a week for eleven weeks, consisting of balance and coordination training, exercises for decreasing muscle imbalances and increasing body awareness and relaxation ability. The Footscan system was used for measuring the effect of movement intervention on the on the postural control and balance abilities of individuals with visual impairments. The testing was done before the beginning and after the finishing of all classes of movement intervention and the results of the pretest and posttest were compared with each other. Results: The movement intervention led to the improvement of postural control and balance abilities at five subjects from the total of nine subjects, who underwent pre and post testing. Impact of complex movement therapy on bone density in patients with osteoporosis

6 Abstract: Author: Radka Kubů Name of the thesis: Impact of complex movement therapy on bone density in patients with osteoporosis. Aim of the thesis: To prove a positive impact of physical training programme on bone density in patients with osteoporosis and to evaluate contribution of physical activity on success rate of osteoporosis treatment. Method: The thesis is based on the method of comparative experiment with the purpose to trace and prove a positive impact of the complex movement therapy on bone density at patients with diagnosed osteoporosis. The set of 25 women was divided into two groups, experimental and control ones. The research monitored parameters which were intentionally affected via controlled intervention in the experimental group. The method of the structured interview served for obtaining anamnestic data. The evaluation itself was carried out based on differences between both groups and within groups as well. Results have been processed in Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Results: Physical activity is an important part of therapy at patients with osteoporosis. The research proved that after 12 months of a complex movement therapy bone density is affected positively. Individual training of a girl with Down syndrome in the fitness center

Title: Individual training of a girl with Down syndrome in the fitness center Background: Down syndrome is a genetic disease caused by trisomy of 21 chromosome, associated with cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, mental retardation and specific essential characters. Due to common obesity and cardiovascular risks it is important to seek the optimal form of physical exercise as well as possible nutrition options. Objective: The aim of this work is to evaluate the influence of long-term exercise intervention in a girl with Down syndrome. Methods: Qualitative research was undertaken as a case study on compensation of muscle imbalance of a 23-year-old girl with Down syndrome. In this work, we used the observation, functional tests on postural and phasic muscles with photo documentation. Through the conversation we got feedback on the motion training from the perspective of a mother. Results: On the basis of the initial examination there was established the individual training plan in a series of regular motion lessons in Contours fitness center. Cíle práce: Cílem této práce, bylo proniknout do běžného života osob s mentální retardací, seznámit se s jejich životem, různými druhy a novými trendy terapie spojené s pohybem a možnostmi práce s mentálně postiženými. Předmětem práce také bylo zjistit vztah mentálně retardovaných k pohybu, sportu a veškerým pohybovým aktivitám, jak pohyb oni sami vnímají, zda je pro ně prospěšný, zda má nějaký vliv na fyzický a psychický vývoj těchto jedinců a vliv na léčbu a udržování určitého stupně psychomotorického vývoje. PLAYING SAXOPHONE AND ITS POTENTIAL HEALTH RISKS Objectives: Main purpose of this study is to provide comprehensive review of health issues related to saxophone playing. The aim of this study is to collect available resources focused on saxophone players teaching methods, analyse them and compare them with existing findings of medical science. Also to try to find answers to asked research questions and to verify or disprove stated hypotheses, on the basis of acquired datas and principles eventually trying to arrange some possible outlines to complement teaching methods or preventative-compensational excercises for saxophone players. Methods: Method of this thesis is literature research using available Czech and foreign literary resources. For this purpose there have been used electronic archives as Pubmed, Ebsco, Springer, Wiley and Science Direct, monographic publications and scholarly papers from periodicals. The task ofwork: The task of this graduation thesis is to find out, how differ the content of physical training and the use ofsports at students with different degree of dysphrenia on the basic and on the secondary school Pomněnka o.p.s. Title: Rehabilitation of Child with Cerebral Palsy in the Preoperative and Postoperative Period Author: Renata Šmídová Objective: During my practice I have met with a number of pediatric patients affected by cerebral palsy who underwent corrective orthopedic surgery, which in some cases were unfortunately unsuccessful. Based on the initial acquisition of information on this issue, I found a number of studies and articles on the success of orthopedic surgery in cerebral palsy. In many studies point out that the proper choice of physiotherapy has great benefit for orthopedic intervention, so I decide to map a connections orthopedic and physiotherapy approaches on the case and describe the elements of rehabilitation used in the treatment of selected patient. In the first part of the thesis I process in detail neurological disorder cerebral palsy (CP) and surgical treatment of deformities resulting from the operation of this disease. The second part includes a case study that describes the rehabilitation work of the physiotherapist with a child patient who undergoes corrective surgery on the lower limb. Title: Changes in preparation exercises in handbike riders training Objectives: The aim of work is to collect and systematically process available information about sports discipline handbike and thereby expand knowledge about the theory and sport practice especially to persons with physical disabilities Methods: Implementation of data collection was accomplished through semi- structured interview (interview with instructions). Information gathering was carried out by one-time survey (testimony) of respondents. There was carried out repeated terrain inquiries of the respondents, followed by evaluation of statements. Results: Findings of this work form information about sports discipline known as handbike and allow insight into the issues of this sports industry. Primarily it deals with the material aspects and implementation of training program. Findings of this work can be used to popularize handbike discipline.
