The Serbian Radical Party in the 1st stage of development of so called 5th October republic: the path of the Radical Party from the Milošević regime fall to winning 2003 general elections
Pashkevich, Mikhail ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Moskovič, Boris (referee)
The diploma thesis will analyse the activities of the Radical Party of Serbia (SRS) in the period following the fall of Slobodan Milosević on October 5, 2000 as a result of mass protests till the parliamentary elections in 2003, when the party won the most seats in the Serbian parliament. The victory of the SRS did not become an isolated incident, but, as it turned out later, represented the beginning of a new trend in Serbian politics: the consolidation, reformatting and return of nationalist forces, which later adopted pro-European rhetoric. The aim of the thesis is, first of all, to determine the reasons and premises of the return, secondly to describe the communication strategy of the SRS in the years 2000-2003, which allowed the party to elaborate an effective electoral message under severely unfavourable conditions. To achieve these aims, the following questions will be examined in particular: 1. Whether the renaissance of the Serbian Radical Party's influence does not reflect the fact that the fall of Milosević's administration did not mean a major turning point in Serbia's political development 2. How broad was the support of the nationalist program in Serbian society during the rule of Milosević and after his fall. 3. To what extent was the SRS ready to take on the role of leader of the...

The Affirmation proces of Muslim nation in Yugoslavia, 1953-1971. A Debate Analysis
Ceropita, Mihail ; Vojtěchovský, Ondřej (advisor) ; Pelikán, Jan (referee)
To analyze this problem we used periodical publications from the funds of "Adil Zulfikarpašić" Bosnian Institute in Sarajevo, the National Library of Serbia and the Library of the Husnija Kamberović and Amir Duranović from University of Sarajevo, who spesialize in the described by Moše Pijade in his article, which was one of the prerequisites for futher streingh and in 1967, after the release of the essay by Muhamed Filipović, gained a wide range. nation officially named by the government "Muslims" was controversial and illogi 's death in 1980, the problem once again came to the fore.
History as an argument. Disputes about interpretation of the past in Montenegrin political debate during the Independence Referendum, 2006.
Pashkevich, Mikhail ; Vojtěchovský, Ondřej (advisor) ; Pelikán, Jan (referee)
This thesis deals with using history as a tool of political marketing and communication in the campaign before Montenegrin independence referendum in 2006. Namely, it is referring to usage of historical past topics in discussions and agitation of antagonistic blocs: "For European Montenegro", which was promoting independence, and "For maintaining the state union of Serbia and Montenegro", calling to retain state union with Serbia respectively. The subject of research is the interpretation of Montenegrin history's key persons and events, to which both of blocs resorted for backing their arguments: Petr II. Petroviće Njegoše, the King Nikola I., the annexation of Montenegro to Serbia in 1918, conflict of partisans and Chetniks during WWII, evaluation of socialists Yugoslavia, the role and responsibility of Montenegro in wars following the breakup of Yugoslavia, evaluation of Slobodan Milošević's policy, interethnic relations in Montenegro in the 19th and the 20th centuries. Particular focus of this thesis is given to impact of tribal and family memory, ancestors legacy on adopting a stance towards idea of independence and understanding of Montenegrin identity.
Vehicle Routing Problem with Private and Common Carriers
Zikmund, Adam ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with a problem from the field of combinatorial optimization called Vehicle Routing Problem with Private and Common Carriers (VRPPC). A complete undirected symmetric graph is given. The task is to satisfy demands in all nodes with minimal total costs. There are two possibilities of doing so. Either private fleet or common carrier can be used for the transport of the demanded goods. The private costs depend on the covered distance whereas the common costs are conditional only on the weight of demand. Several heuristic methods for solving this problem are proposed and tested on three experimental instances of different sizes (in terms of number of nodes). Emphasis is primarily put on comparison between the presented heuristic and the classical optimization approach, which can often lead to inferior results (especially in case of larger instances) because of the computational complexity of the given problem.
Optimization of a a route for collecting waste with Traveling Salesman Problem
Trnka, Zdeněk ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Pelikán, Jan (referee)
The Bachelor's dissertation deals with optimization of route designed for collecting communal waste of a company FCC Czech Republic, Ltd. Dissertation search for the most suitable method to solve the real-life example. So formed economic model is to be solved via Traveling Salesman Problem method, whose mathematical model, modifications and solutions options are described in detail in theoretical sections of the dissertation. Exact methods, which are suitable for smaller problem, and heuristic methods, which did not have to give optimal solution, can be used for solving the Traveling Salesman Problem. The Traveling Salesman Problem will be solved here with help of modeling software MPL for Windows. There will be also used two heuristic approaches - Nearest Neighbor algorithm and Savings method. Due to increasing efficiency, a modified Traveling Salesman Problem with Time Windows will be used and solved also through MPL for Windows. To close the dissertation, the result will be summarized and compare firstly among each other and secondly against current company route.

Analysis of the company´s expenses associated with relocation of the distribution center
Petrovičová, Andrea ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
The objective of the thesis is to analyze the company´s expenses associated with relocation of the distribution centre as well as to describe the components of expenses associated with transport between company and customers. An important part of the thesis is comparison of the individual delivery routes. The theoretical part provides a brief description of Vehicle Routing Problem and its modifications as well as the different options how to solve it. The expenses calculations of truck transport are approximated to the reader. The practical part shows the real problem of Nestlé. The decreasing of the expenses is shown on real data. The reason of decreasing is the relocation of the distribution centre. The model routes are compared with the actual ones using MPL. It also shows the potential cost reduction.
Implementation of Heuristics for Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows
Trunda, Otakar ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Holý, Vladimír (referee)
Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows is a hard optimization problem. Even though it has numerous practical applications, the question of solving it efficiently has not been satisfyingly solved yet. This thesis studies the Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows and presents several new algorithms for solving it. There are two heuristics presented here, as well as several more complex algorithms which use those heuristics as their components. The efficiency of presented techniques is evaluated experimentally using a set of test samples. As a part of this thesis, I have also developed a desktop application which implements presented algorithms and provides a few additional features useful for solving routing prob-lems in practice. Among others, there is a generator of pseudo-random problem instances and several visualization methods.
