Šupolík, Pavel ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: The Effect of Thermotherapy on Postural Stability assessed via NeuroCom SMART Equitest Objective: The aim of this study is ti determine whether a one-time application of positive or negative thermotherapy has a positive or negative effect on the postural stability and/or balance in a sample of healthy young adults. The tool for achieving this goal will be statistical analysis of the results of the computerized dynamic posturography before and after application of thermotherapy. And futher a comparison with the results of the control examination. Methods: In this study we have used one-time application of positive and negative thermotherapy in the form of water immersion. A total of ten women and ten men with average age 24 years (sd = 2,18), average height 174,45 centimeters (sd = 7,72) and average weight 78,10 kilograms (sd = 18,10) took part in our study. We assessed postural stability via the NeuroCom SMART Equitest test battery. The assessment was carried out without the use of head tracker accessory. We tested each participant three times in three different days. During each day one condition was applied. Conditions consisted of positive thermotherapy (temperature of 40 řC), cryotherapy (temperature of 4 řC) and control condition. Within each session two examination were made, divided...

Králová, Petra ; Martínek, Milan (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Author: Petra Králová Title: The case study of a physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after total hip replacement Objectives: The objectives of this bachelor's thesis is to provide theoretical framework, to assess problematics of implantation of total hip arthroplasty and to introduce case study of a patient after total hip replacement and its subsequent rehabilitation care. Summary: The thesis is devided into two parts - general and specialized. General part provides conceptual framework and builds on existing literature of anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of the hip joint. It further informs about the most common diseases affecting the joint and analyzes problematics of total hip replacement for coxarthrosis. It serves as theoretical framework for second part. The specialized part contains a case study of a patient after total hip replacement and following rehabilitation care. During this case study, the author solely used noninvasive methods and approches, which had been acquired during bachelor's studies at The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University. The conluding remarks of the bachelor's thesis include evaluation of the therapy results and effectivenes of each of the therapeutical approaches. Key words: hip joint, total endoprosthesis, osteoarthrosis, rehabilitation
Comparison of reaction rate in children diagnosed with ADHD and common population of the same age
Kovařovic, Vojtěch ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Differences in reaction rate in children with ADHD and the general population of the same age. Problem definition: ADHD is a neuropsychological disorder occurring in part of the pediatric population (5-8%). The scientific public mentions the existence of the so-called hyperfocus, ie the ability to significantly concentrate in children diagnosed with ADHD, especially in the case of these children being interested in the task. Methodologically correctly compiled and performed testing of the reaction rate of these children could confirm or refute this assumption. Aims: The aim of the work is to find out whether and possibly what effect the diagnosis of ADHD in children has on the reaction rate. Hypotheses: H1: The reaction rate in individuals with ADHD will be on average the same or higher than in individuals of the same age of the healthy population. H2: The difference between the individual experiments will be greater in children with ADHD than in individuals of the same age of the healthy population. H3: The individual with fastest reaction ability with ADHD will have the same or better result as the individual with the fastest reaction of the same aged healthy population. Methods: Testing for the purposes of this diploma thesis took place in the ROSA center. 12 probands in the tested group...

Tichý, Lukáš ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Jelen, Karel (referee)
Title: The effect of a six-week physiotherapeutic intervention in child patients with clubfoot evaluated with a change in ROM of ankle dorsiflexion and the quality of gait measured by 2D analysis. Objectives: The aim of this work was evaluation of six-week physiotherapeutic intervention focused on movement and stability improvement in child patients with clubfoot based on a change in ROM of ankle dorsiflexion and the quality of gait measured by 2D analysis. Methods: The work consists of a theoretical part, which summarizes the theoretical background to the chosen topic, and a practical part. For the purposes of the practical part, an intervention group of patients (aged from 3 to 6 years) who have already received medical treatment for clubfoot, was created. The physiotherapeutic intervention period was six weeks, during that period there were from 4 to 5 individual exercises supplemented with home exercises. At the beginning and at the end there were control measurements. The control measurements consisted of a clinical examination and a 2D analysis of gait, supplemented by a dynamometric examination of gait. Results: There were no verifiable improvements in measured parameters, especially in a combination of several factors related to both the intensity of the physiotherapeutic intervention and...
