Options assessment of stereognostic hand function in children with hemiparetic form of child's cerebral palsy and in relatively healthy children
Hadravová, Vendula ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Novotná, Irena (referee)
Child's cerebral palsy is a neuro-developmental disease, its manifestation is not only a motor deficit, but also often a sensitive deficit. Nevertheless we often meet in the physiotherapy treatment of the Child's cerebral palsy with a solution of motor ability, sensitive deficit is often neglected. Failure of sensitivity to the individuals brings distorted perception of the surroundings and himself. The main component is just stereognosis, which does not inform us only about the properties of the stimuli, but helps us to navigate in the space and aware of the different parts of the body. Goal of the thesis: The goal is to work through several tests to assess the difference of the hand stereognostic function by a group of children with hemiparetic form of the Child's cerebral palsy and a relatively healthy group of children. Stereognosis of right and left hand is separately compared within each group in the results obtained. Both groups are comparing against each other. Another purpose of this work is to make a measurement of the time required to detect its own subject and in both of these groups of children. Equally important purpose is the assessment of usability of Petrie's test with pediatric patiens. Method of the solution: This work includes research, conducted in two groups of children aged between 7...

Resource sharing in clonal plants - a review of labelling studies
Nováková, Tereza Anna ; Duchoslavová, Jana (advisor) ; Weiser, Martin (referee)
Clonal plants are characterised by their ability to reproduce without sexual reproduction. This is done by the formation of daughter rhizomes or ramets. By maintaining a functional link between them, ramets can share information and resources. The effect of sharing on the growth of clonal plants by sharing can be investigated using biomass experiments. To follow the movement of substances in more detail, labelled substances are used. I will discuss the work on tagging substances and recording their translocation in this thesis. These are carbon, water, nitrogen, phosphorus and calcium. The translocation of substances appears in many cases to be in the direction from the parent ramet to the daughter ramet, but there are plants translocating in the opposite direction. This is influenced by many factors such as plant species, anatomical structure, the age of the ramets and their current needs, as well as abiotic factors and the mobility of the particular element. Water as a carrier medium for minerals may also indicate some dependence of one on the other during translocation. In the future, it would be useful to add comprehensive information on sharing in individual species. Information on how sharing changes during ontogeny, multi-element clonal fragments and tracking of multiple elements in a plant...

Turna, Matyáš ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Šorfová, Monika (referee)
1 ABSTRACT Title: Comparing physiotherapist's functional test assessments with OpenPose kinematic data Objectives: Assess wether is OpenPose (OP) system able to detect parameters of poor performance in the Single Leg Squat Test and Step Down Test. Presence of these parameters was indicated by consensus process among 3 physiotherapists. Methods: 48 healthy volunteers participated on the research. Each volunteer demonstrated 3 repetitions of Single Leg Squat Test and Step Down Test on each leg. Repetitions were recorded on video and at the same time evaluated by 3 physiotherapists (PT) using 15 binary parameters. Consensus process indicating presence of a parameter involved agreement of at least 2 of the raters while the inter-rater reliability coeficient for all 3 raters had to be κ ≥ 0,41. Changes in angles and relative distances of observed body segments were calculated using OpenPose keypoint detection model. Therefore each execution of the functional test was described by OP data and PT data. Statistical analysis was performed to assess wether was OpenPose able to detect significant differences between poor and good execution of a functional test in the 15 rated parameters. Results: OP was able to reliably assess following parameters: Loss of balance, Excessive upper extremity movement and Lateral...

Prausová, Lucie ; Šorfová, Monika (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: Analysis of the motion of dominant upper extremity during offensive stroke in badminton performed by elite female players Objectives: Objective of my master thesis is to analyse movement of a dominant upper extremity during offensive stroke in badminton and to point out possible risk factors for injuries and soft tissue overload problems in the region of the upper limb. Methods: The theoretical part deals with anatomical and kinesiological description of upper extremities. Then there is a description of the motion on the court and upper strokes in badminton and movements of upper extremity during the strokes. The practical part deals with measuring of rotations in shlouder joints and with analysis of motion of upper extremity during offensive stroke in badminton. It is focused on measuring the range of motion, angular velocity and angular acceleration in joints of dominant upper extremity. The Xsens MVN was used to record motion. Results: The results showed that the internal rotation in the shoulder joint on the dominant upper limb during active movement examination is reduced in elite female badminton players. When an offensive strike is played, the players come to the extreme inner rotation in the shoulder joint. Next we found out that the risky movement during the offensive stroke is...
Substance use by clients of the outreach program NO BIOHAZARD during the COVID 19 pandemic
Nováková, Tereza ; Chomynová, Pavla (advisor) ; Černíková, Tereza (referee)
The objective of this bachelor thesis is to map the patterns of substance abuse among clients of the outreach program No biohazard. The work aims to find out how and whether these patterns of use changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit the Czech Republic in early March 2020. Due to the global breadth of the pandemic, impacts and restrictions have affected almost all areas of human functioning. One of these areas was also the drug market. This study addresses how the restrictions associated with the pandemic affected the availability, price and quality of substances used among clients and whether during the pandemic the interest of outreach program clients in professional assistance such as treatment or counseling or substitution treatment increased. Research questions also ask about the availability of clean injection material and outreach programs during a pandemic. The study results serve as feedback on the functioning of the field program during the pandemic. I collected data for the purposes of the bachelor's thesis in a questionnaire survey among clients of the outreach program from March to June 2021. For the purposes of the survey, I created a questionnaire containing 23 questions focusing on current patterns of substance use and drug market changes during the COVID-19 pandemic. I...
Effect of open and closed loop cueing on gait function in Parkinson disease.
Almathami, Saad Hassan ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of opened and closed loop cueing intervention on Parkinson disease patients gait function focusing on the temporal and spatial parameters of gait and to define the most effective cueing approach for different gait parameters and finally to examine the closed loop feedback system for regular usage in regular physiotherapy clinics or patients own homes. A 37 clinical trial including 1014 patients were investigated to reach an answer for this review questions. Results reveled that both open and closed cueing intervention has a positive effect on gait spatial, temporal gait parameters and capable to reduce the number of freezes in Parkinson diseases patients. Auditory cueing strategies had a superior effect on patient speed of gait with higher rhythm of cues and better overall gait function during dual tasking. Visual cues showed better effect on stride length and stride frequency. The close loop feedback system of cues still built on complex machinery segments which make it difficult to be used as regular intervention in physiotherapy clinics and patients own homes. As an overall cueing intervention found to be significantly effective as locomotive therapeutic approach on gait functionality, but each intervention procedure and methodology...

Novák, Jan ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: Power output and selected cardiorespiratory parameters in elite athletes during the third to fourth week after COVID-19 infection Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to compare power output and selected cardiorespiratory parameters in elite athletes before and three to four weeks after COVID- 19 infection. Since the elite athletes undergo these health checks on a yearly basis, it is possible to compare the data before and immediately after the infection without difficulty. Methods: This thesis has a character of a quantitative research based on testing the outcomes with confirming or denying hypotheses. Out of the total of 64 elite athletes with the CPET data after the infection 17 athletes, fulfilling other criteria, were selected. I was provided with the data by Centrum sportovní medicíny z. s.. These values became the foundation for statistical hypotheses testing. Analysis of the data was done by means of a pair t-test in R software. Results: There were no significant differences in the majority of the spirometry parameters. Only the inspiration vital capacity was significantly higher (p = 0,004) after the COVID-19 infection in 14 athletes with 0,21±0,18 l improvement. There were significant differences in five of CPET parameters. Load in RCP was significantly lower (p = 0,011) in 13...
